Thanks you for putting out a good video on these sewing machines. I suspect you will need a brace under the long neck in front of the fly wheel. I am still assembling mine. Blessings.
Thanks for taking the time to do the video, I've had my machine for a few months now and I find it very user-friendly and easily customizable and modifiable, I've done a few things to my machine and I made a couple of videos and put it on my channel showing what I've done to mine, thanks again 😊👍🏻
I tried mounting mine with the two legs in front like you said, and you're right. It's more stable that way and easier to use. I'm still going to make a wooden mount for it, though.
good video.. I bought one of these a month ago.. likewise did everything with a saddle stitch. Took me awhile to get running smooth and consistent. Got stellar results with # 18 Schmetz leather needles with 69# bonded nylon thread. on veg. tan leather up tp 6 oz thick. Once running right and tension set. The strength of the stitch is damn near saddle stitch strength.. You will save a ton of time with this unit. Just takes practice to follow your line and keep a proper cadence. Well worth the money. Besides last I looked Singer 29s in working condition arent growing on trees. and If you find one, costs your left kidney!!!
You must predrill the holes before you drive in the screws. That's why your bits are breaking. I do that even for "self-tapping" screws. Also, the hole in the top board should be just larger than the screw threads but not so large as to pass the screw head. Threads engaged in the top board have no holding power to the lower board. Your drill bits will thank you for that.
Those bits aren’t rated for impact wrench use. If you used them with that before, you were very lucky. You need impact bits only, for that tool. The others are either for hand use, or for a drill.
I dont know for sure. I saw some very different manufacturing methods and even some billet parts where some were cast. I gave up on this as an option. I bought a Cowboy Outlaw and live it.
I wish I could say I have been using it, but I cant. I have set it up better and added a few common features. I want to do an update video, but I need to spend some time with it.
@@marvelsedge7239have you had a chance to get acquainted with this machine yet? Mines ordered and on its way, so in the meantime I’ve been watching videos trying to learn as much about it as I can. I don’t have much experience with leather crafting and got this machine in an attempt to not have to do hand sewn repairs to my work clothes. I have used sewing machines in the past but they didn’t seem to do so well once I got past more than two layers of denim.
I have had a few good runs with it. It is not a sit and sew situation yet. It requires work to get set up each time. I have a plan to post a video about the things I do to make this thing work.
Yes i did...first one was returned because of missing parts, I tried to get the 2nd one to work for like 28 days before I had to give up and return that one as well.. when I have more time I will repurchase and try again .

Being old and feeble, I usually have to run a pilot hole
before I try to drive a screw. And I use square drive screws.
Have fun.

I got one and love it. I call it my "Pitman" sewing machine.
what is the brand, and how much did you pay for this model? thanks.
What brand did you buy? It looks like it has much better packaging than I have seen.
Which machine did you order brand name ?? that's the cleanest one out of the box
Thanks for your time doing a review brother 😉
I'm up to 12:00 in this video and absolutely nothing has been worth a crap. lol.

What model or maker is this machine?
18 needle with 138 sewing thread works really good In it

Exactly my thoughts too.
All these machines look the same on Amazon. They differed very slightly in price though! Are they of the same manufacturer?

I bought the same sewing machine and added a motor.
can you please link the product to buy
Can you please, link the product to bay?
I used two 5/16 lag bolts and a swivel socket
Since you’ve been using this for a month, what’s your updated opinion about this machine?
