So i love Kratos actually having character dev, he is allot more patient and he TRIES to hold his temper in and listen. And also his relation to Mimir and listening to his advice. Just really good dialog all around!

Agreed. I'm fighting through all these difficult encounters, exploring all these areas and my motivation is literally "Please talk more! Please!"

Since during ragnarok it’s prophesied that Fenrir would kill Odin, it makes sense that he wouldn’t pay Kratos a visit until after he died
I love Kratos' journey from lonely, angry, and screaming at gods for revenge, to constantly losing his shit to 4 line-crossing smartasses that don't even rise to his shoulders.
Not to mention, one of 'em doesn't even HAVE shoulders! :D
FYI Bricky, there's an option in the settings to swap dodge from X to circle. I was having the same issue as you and it was a lifesaver

In response of 36:25 about knowing Norse mythology. I can only give some context that you should probably already know or shown ingame. Ragnarok in real life Norse mythology sparked with Baldurs death due to Loki's influence and came Fimbulwinter (in the game it would seem that the moment Baldur died, Fimbulwinter begun when in myth it was kinda its came on its own like how Fall came to Winter and Winter came to Spring but this time Winter last quite forever). The wolves that chased the moon and sun will catch up and devoured them which set off chains of events to spark the WAR of Ragnarok. Odin in-game, being a massive dickhead throughout the game, want to prevent it by intervening key events that could potentially lead to Ragnarok. The event Arteus shown within that hidden story is that Odin trapped the wolves and the moon to prevent that from happening. The army scene seems to be Ragnarok was going to happen despite Odin's attempts but this time there is no army of giants but an army from several different realms based on the markings on their shields. Of course I might be wrong in some part but this is a general summarization.

My two cents: The thing about Kratos is that he’s a bad dad, not in the sense of “whatever the Emperor’s on”, but in the sense of “how good of a dad did you expect Kratos to be?” I think that the love is there, just not the raw parental skill. But he’s learning and growing, we’ve seen as much over the past game and a bit.
Also, Uncle Brok is the best damn thing ever. The character is a natural to the role.
Patiently waiting for part 3 even though other creators or channels already have the whole game done. I like this "old school" streaming brings us back to a simpler time
What i adore about this game is it's maturity. Yeah there was some humour with the dwarves there but the game itself does maturity fantastically, looking forward to more!

Bricky, read the lore pick-ups you find. A lot of them have interesting stuff. For example the note you picked up called "Ashen God" explains why the raiders are attacking you.

Mimir's role in the game, so far, has brought me so much joy. Him and Kratos having their back-n-forth. The way he smarts to the Dwarf bros. Genius.

Skol & Hati, two wolves that chase the sun and moon, are chained by Odin. Also, the very beginning of Norse Mythology starts out with Odin and his brothers Vili and Vii murdering a primordial giant known as Ymir. From his body did they craft the world, his skull the sky ect. It is a brutal and efficient sounding event, so even at the beginning of the sagas Odin preforms what Kratos is trying to teach Atreus NOT to do in the main game.
There are alot of stories and things from Norse Mythology to explain, but I shan't make this overtly long. Hope this helped if you read it Bricky

Untangling god of war by good blood is a really really good video that gets into both the myths and how the god of war team changed the myths to make their own version. No spoilers for this game but obviously spoilers for 2018

Honestly I think that who leads the armies on the Ragnarok against Odin and co has to be a God of war not necessarily Tyr, so they'll go with that kind of approach

you gotta tinker with the noise cancellation thresholds on your mic Bricky, they trigger way too easily (28:47 for an example)

Jeepers, you can really spot the hallmarks of modern game development by how handholdy tips and companion voicelines are. CONSTANTLY reminding the player what to do, what even is the point of some mechanics/puzzles if they are immediately explained?
