Freya’s brother is imaginatively named Freyr. They’re supposed to flip it back upright for Ragnarok. I think.
I think it's supposed to be an afterlife for Slavs, since Vanir of Norse mythology are what Norse believed to be Slavic gods. Freyer is Freya's brother, this is the first time he's mentioned in the games. The one who Thor killed is the author of the poems you've been collecting.
Yo, the game is slandering Thor. He didn't kill Kvasir. The story behind Kvasir is an interesting one. He was basically created through a peace treaty between two groups of gods, the Aesir (Odin, Thor, Loki, Heimdall, etc) and the Vanir (Freyr, Freya, Tyr and a few others). As part of this peace treaty, every one of the gods spat in a bowl and Odin created a man from this spit, that man being Kvasir. Kvasir was the smartest and wisest man to ever live and he wandered the earth and gave people advice. Until one day, he was invited by the dwarfs Fjalar and Galar for dinner. When he arrived at their house they killed him and gathered his blood and used it to make mead. This mead had special properties and made whoever drink it wise and felicitous so that they could write poetry. There's a pretty lengthy story about the dwarfs killing two giants and then having to give the mead to those giants son as blood money, and how Odin then stole the mead from that giant and how all that lead to mankind discovering poetry at large. But yeah, long story short, Thor didn't kill Kvasir and isn't even important to his story.
