But at the end of the day, my body is mine and it carries me through life. It keeps me alive and moving and happy most days. And I’m grateful for it. Because I could have it so much worse. 💜

It’s interesting when you watch huge celebrities online, they rarely respond to their comments if at all. UA-camrs/Influencers are more “accessible” and it seems like therefore they get more comments below the belt. You may be at the point where you benefit from doing what a lot of celebrities do - just bless people with content/products and ignore the comments altogether. Your team can read them and provide whatever feedback is important. Your mental health is more important. Someone’s body is the LEAST interesting thing about them, and you don’t deserve to suffer over these shallow, body- shaming comments that ultimately carry no weight of a persons worth.

100%. Just because someone has chosen to be an influencer or an actor or musician or whatever, doesn’t mean they have to be okay and accepting of hate that they may or may not get. Unpopular opinion obviously, but they didn’t sign up to be bullied online, they signed up to do what they love. You honest to God helped save my life. About 9 years ago I was at my lowest point and had already tried to take my life once. I had always loved makeup but didn't know much technically or that dry skin was why my makeup looked like crap. One day while lying in bed, depressed beyond showering, I went to UA-cam and typed foundation routines. The first video I watched was "how to get a flawless face." I was hooked. I went back and watched your other videos and decided I wanted to try it. I got up, showered, and went and bought a cheap little quad brown revlon pallette. From there I built my confidence and gave myself something to do when it felt like I just wanted to rip my skin off. It wasn't a magic cure obviously and when you came out with your anxiety struggles it resonated with me. It gave me a push to seek help. Now I am properly diagnosed, on the correct medication, and am a happy and healthy mother of an amazing little girl, who loves your makeup too. Lol. I have seen many other stories just like this one so never doubt the amazing impact you have had on our lives.

I think what she meant is that’s it’s ok to offer someone a courteous “Hey, you have something in your teeth” or a “Hey hun, your hair clip is falling out”. But if it’s something they can’t change about their appearance like RIGHT NOW... shut yourself mouth about it. End of story. It’s easy people. We’re all beautiful.

I thought this was a thing everyone was taught!!! So crazy to me what some people will say to someone. Sometimes it’s not even meant to be mean, but still shouldn’t be pointed out! I moved away from home a few years ago, and my acne hit me like a truck. I mean actually bad, deep red scarring all over my cheeks and chin, and active breakouts galore! And I FaceTimed my sister a couple of days ago, and the FIRST thing she said to me was “aww syd, your face!” And she wasn’t trying to be mean, but like, that’s all I see in the mirror every day. I know it’s there and I cry about it all of the time, I don’t need it pointed it and proven that it’s the first thing people notice!! It’s not something I can easily change, so please don’t mention it :)

I was so mortified and confused about it. I think as adults, we kinda go through a second form of puberty or something. I’m not a doctor but differin gel I got on Amazon really helped me out and cleared most of it up minus the rogue pimple here and there. But just be cautioned cuz it’s one of those “it gets worse before it gets better” kind of treatments since differin acts like a retinoid. Boo adult acne. But like I said, we’re all beautiful 💕

Why did you standing up showing your body make me tear up??? (🦀cancer🦀) Girl, you are beautiful inside AND out. I am sorry that you felt called to make this video to stand up for yourself, but I’m so proud for you that you did it. So much love for you girl! Love you, love your vibe, you’ve got this!! “I’m in itttttt”

@@christinedunn5613 I agree! Congratulations to you too Momma!! 🥰🥰 We just gotta do our best to be encouraging when we can and lift each other up. I've always tried to remember that people who are insecure and unhappy with themselves are the ones who try to make others miserable. No happy woman puts other women down. So I try to remember that it's not about me when they make comments. It's because they need to heal themselves.

Very well done. I feel for you with what you have dealt with. I am doing a deep dive on your brand by request. It's for a series I just started on IG about my thoughts on brand strategies and marketing. From what I can tell, you are so down-to-earth, and you've just hit some bumps in the road that you didn't know how to handle at first. I think you have grown so much, and I applaud you for your strength. You have a new friend.

Jac you are such an insanely genuine person inside and out. What ppl need to realize is that everyone experiences life changes whether that’s falling out with a friend, depression, divorce, weight gain... everyone is on their own journey and most people only have to explain it to others on a small scale. Do you know how hard it is to go through all of these life changes with a massive audience who constantly feels the need to point out every little thing? It’s exhausting just watching so my hat goes off to you Jac. This video was long overdue and I’m so incredibly happy that you were able to bring awareness to a topic that is so overlooked online. Keep on shining ✨ It’s 2021, let’s accept change for what it is. Lift each other up and encourage others to spread positivity!
