So true for so many of us… im 32 and so much of my adult life was spent watching & loving makeup tutorials on UA-cam! So much of what I know is all thanks to Jaclyn Hill! I still have the first Morphe palette she collaborated on that doesn’t even have her name on it… just a little JH sticker on the back bottom corner ❤️
I know makeup vids are not the IT thing at the moment, but REST ASSURED I will always tune in when you make these bc you spit so much knowledge ALWAYS. 🙌🏼
Also I can see how tutorials have gone “out of style” as a whole but I don’t think a JACLYN tutorial will ever go out style. I don’t really watch tutorials from other creators anymore but I’ll never miss one from the queen 💅🏽

About four/five years ago I decided as a freshman in college to try my hand at doing my makeup. I grew up a Tom boy and had never even picked up a makeup brush before. I couldn’t afford the nicer brands but bought a bag of dollar store makeup and got on UA-cam. One of your videos was the first to pop up and I’ve been watching them ever since! You have solely been the one who has taught me everything. I still can’t afford the nicer brands but I finally was able to afford your volume 2 palette and it is my go to (plus one of your smaller eyeshadow palettes) I hope to someday buy everything of yours! Thank you for unknowingly being my teacher and continually helping me learn more and more🥰

I actually love to watch makeup tutorials still. Since everything happened with 2020 and masks or not going out much in general, I've really gotten away from doing makeup at all on myself. But watching tutorials inspire me to play around with my makeup again, so I enjoy that. Also, I'm jealous of your brow situation, lol. I went in and plucked mine recently because I saw pictures of when I had them thinner and convinced myself it looked better. Now, I'm waiting for them to grow back in because I feel like I made a mistake; I just can't get a handle on a good shape since I plucked them, lol, I feel like they look funny. Yours are beautiful, though. Thanks for the tutorial!

I love how she focuses on the details. Like the waterline on top with the black liner. Lots of people just do it so quick and it looks good overall, but not like up close, where she focuses on everything all the way so it looks all the time and from any angle.
