Oh shit. Does... does no one here know who Tilikum was? I guess it's possible this isn't about him, but damn if this isn't an ode to him then it should be. I'm from San Diego, and though I never saw him, I saw the orca shows many times at Sea World there when I was kid in the 80's and 90's. It's only in the past few years that I've learned what life is really like for orca in captivity, and seriously, if I were kept in similar conditions I'd want to murder people, too. Poor bastard, at least he's not suffering anymore. Thanks for this, I think it's a fitting tribute for someone who suffered so much.

I have to ask - how in the world can a rehearsal sound this good? The performance is tight and all, but the fidelity of the recording is insane. (Quite the leap from the ol' tape recorder in the middle of the room!) Is what we're hearing truly a live performance, or is it "air guitaring" to the studio recording?
Hehehe that must be the best compliment mate. Ofc you re hearing a rehearsal and all sounds were captured in the rehearsal studio. Drums and guitars were miced up. We also recorded guitars direct on the laptop you see on top of the cab but ended up using the miced cabinet sound cause it sounded great. Axe II>Matrix gt100fx>Marshall1960a and an old vox cab>sm57 and some other mic I don't remember (I can ask if you want) Bass I think was DI and mic blend. Mind you the recording was mixed but yep it's a rehearsal. :-)
