Related but not grindcore. This is so called thrashcore, fastcore etc... extremely fast HC punk, usually influenced from Boston HC but with little tinges of metal here and there, especially in mid tempo parts. Extremely fast HC was predecessor to grindcore and had it's own evolution. This kind of sound is little more metallic, but still mainly HC. Heresy, Siege, Deep Wound and Negative FX were early "fastcore" HC bands that influenced grindcore, especially Napalm Death and Carcass.
