Hey Ernest! I recently got my p&c, L&H license. I was going to work with admitted carriers but surplus seems way more interesting. How can I get appointed with a broker? Any recommendations? I'm located in Dallas Texas
Way to go Ivan! Congrats to you. Admitted carriers should definitely be your “go-to” for writing business. Surplus carriers are usually for hard to place risks or uncommon risks. You probably don’t want to make your living on hard to place or non-mainstream risks. Definitely look to be able to write them but don’t make that your bread and butter. You can put your resume on various job sites. I’m sure you’ll get a lot of hits. Also, ask around. There are plenty of opportunities out there. I’m looking to add to my team and I know agents across the country are doing the same thing.
@@varuswiththehelly7731 I have clients in Alabama. My firm writes life insurance and other financial products in Alabama but not property insurance. Sorry about that.
Learning through you sir. Cheers from India 🇮🇳.
Very informative video….Thank you!
Great info and thinking outside the box. It's always a different highway to a goal.
Absolutely! You're very welcome. Glad to hear you enjoyed the podcast.
Hello this is Neftali, I m looking at your videos.
Thanks Neftali. I'm glad to hear you're listening in.
Awesome video
What if you sell surplus line carriers due to lower price .?
Surplus lines carriers are non-admitted carriers. It’s better to provide admitted carriers to clients when possible.
