thank you great idea i have been looking for ideas for easy water changing for my discus tank 300 lts water changes are a pain now to work out how i can store 300 litres of hma water heat it and pump it to my tank lol thank you very helpful iv just subscribed

Ya most water change system videos seem to me to be pretty similar using the auto overflow system. But that’s a huge investment. And something like that isn’t practical for me for my space.
For you I would just find a 55 gallon food grade barrel and a submersible pump.

Thanks for the video. I'm planning my overflow system right now and I was wondering about my drain line size and looks like the pipe you are using is 2" and it is working good. Is that a 2" pipe?

I used 1 1/2 inch. It’s quite a lot of water using the overflows as I am. But if you were doing a drip system it should be fine. Even the way I am using them it’s not bad. If I tried to drain every tank I have now and plan for in the future at once, I’d have problems, but I got to stick to what my pump can handle anyway. So I think 1 1/2 is good enough for me.
