well i believe they ARE father and son now. if i'm not mistaken, Damian Wayne is the current robin, son of batman. I haven't read any batman comics with damian in it, so if he's bruce's nephew or something forgive my mistake...
Adam Poole and that would be where my mistake is. at least i got the part about him being batman's son right. who is the new robin? if there is any??? sorry i have not read any recent issue of batman comic books in years.
digmyvids don't feel bad i haven't read any DC comics since they rebooted the DC universe and messed it up.. i only know cause i looked up the info for the Son of Batman film. .and as far as i know there is no new robin.. at least not yet
Adam Poole I seldom bought a DC Comics since crisis on infinite earths except used ones and generally before Crisis on infinite earths. X-men I lost most of my interest in since the Phoenix seemed like a lame copying of Doom Patrol's negative man.
Pffffft, everybody know Barbara Gordon is the best Batgirl. "But what about Cassandra Cain and Stephanie Brown?" What *about* Cassandra Cain and Stephanie Brown?
Barbera Gordon was introduced on the show first. Her popularity on the show brought her into the comics. I've watched a lot of Mojo Videos today and on several occasions I find myself questioning the validity of their information
I'm absolutely sure. She was introduced because the producers of the '66 Adam west TV show were asked to create a strong female character because batwoman and the original batgirl (Kathy and Bette Kane) were both a major flop
I might have been wrong. It seems she was introduced in the final season of the show simultaneously with her introduction to the comics. It was the show's producer that asked to have the character created. I had that backwards.
yes. That would explain "The million dollar debut" of batgirl on the cover. I have Detective comics 359 and Barbara Gordon looks good with that red bat-purse lol
That purse never made sense to me lol It just didn't seem efficient to have to carry it like that. I can't remember if it had a strap or not. Either way it wouldn't work. Strap purse is a choke hazard in combat and a clutch purse limits her efficiency with her hands.
I like how they brought Barbara back as Batgirl in New 52. It makes sense with the whole reboot thing trying to bring in new readers. I also really enjoyed her story in Death of the Family.
I have to agree w/ most that Barbara was much better as "Oracle," than "Bat-Girl," more interesting. I do believe the "Bat-Girl" persona was an important part of Barbara's past. She is my #3 favorite Super-Hero or Heroine of ALL-TIME.
AL T that's a matter of opinion tho I personally think she's much better and more interesting as batgirl but I do like her as oracle too, the batgirl persona is not just important to her past but just important to her in general no matter what, same with oracle too don't get me wrong, although I might be bias towards batgirl, but if you preferred her as oracle well fair enough, and this is only my opinion.
I really miss the mini series Birds of Prey it actually had a pretty good storyline finally brought catwoman and batmans daughter out of the mist, but i do believe it only had one season.
... Suspicions that Batman and Robin shared more then a cave? There are several comic book panels of Dick and Bruce sharing a bed from the 50's. That shit happened.
TheNerdDude in all honesty, I had in mind to do a different take on the Killing Joke, where the Joker didn't shoot her through the spine, but he along with Harley Quinn blast her kneecaps with shotguns, causing for her legs to be amputated
It does not matter when the Killing Joke movie came out. DCAUs are not canon. And DCAUs will never be canon. DC comics (like Marvel) sell their animation rights to other companies. And as long as the company has rights to a character they can do basically what ever they want in the animation. Even if it's uncharacteristic of a character. Because only DC comics can create and rewrite the true history of a character. This is why origin stories/video (like this video) only use comic books as a reference to a character's history. Hence this/other videos tell viewers in the begin, "We are looking at comic book issues..." for info about this character. Because they can only use canon sources and references. If you like the Killing Joke movie, you like it. But, it's still not canon. And only canons are official. And not DCAUs. So, the Killing Joke DCAU could have came out 2 years before this video was made and they still would not have mentioned it. Note: "The Killing Joke" is a canon comic story plot from the canon comic book. (Which was mentioned in this video) The Killing Joke DCAU (which TheNerdDude is referencing) is a crappy movie made by Bruce Timm. In which, critics and fans panned because if you know anything about Bruce and Barbara then you know why they would never sleep together. It's against their character profile. Either way, The Killing Joke DCAU does not matter because it did not happened and it's not canon. According to DC comics, if it did not happen in the canon comic books, it did not happen.
Cain is a great fighter. Brown is creative/resourceful. Gordon has both, plus smart as hell. I love Cain as Orphan, Brown as Spoiler, and Gordon as Batgirl and the Oracle.
Killer Moth was on Teen Titans as well, his daughter Kitten wanted Robie Poo as she called Robin to take her to her school's prom and boy STarfire threw such fits!
This might be a to obscure, but I would love to see a video on the origins of the Metal Men. Love all your origins videos, and love to disagree with your top ten lists. keep up the good work!
There's a great episode from Batman: The New Adventures called Over The Edge in which Batgirl falls from a building and smashes into her dad's police car on his way to the crime. He discovers it's Barbera and then goes on a hunt to arrest Batman and his family. Great episode.
Brown apparently has been dropped as of mid 2011 when "the new 52" reset the DC universe. They went back to Barbara Gordon as Batgirl (curing her of her paralysis caused by the Joker in the Killing Joke). This video totally left unmentioned her leadership (as Oracle) of the Bird of Prey, perhaps because it is viewed as a separate subject.
there is also stephanie brown, spoiler who became a temporarily robin but then failed and came back as batgirl. and theres also that mut batgirl who was an orphan training to become an assassin, because her mother was an assassin .
When will Babs get a movie that shows just how cool she is!? She's freakin cool and far beyond how people see her as just a feminine and/or sex symbol. Most women in comics seem almost incapable of not being someone's romantic interest, but Babs only had a short fling with Dick Grayson and that was it. She's a strong independent woman who don't need no man. Plus, while Robins came and went, Babs stayed with Batman even after she was paralysed. Plus, she makes the wheelchair sexy.
I want to see Batwoman now, if you guys did that then it would be awesome. Plus maybe the story that Superman told to Dick Grayson about the character Nightwing that inspired Dick?
Joker's Daughter (yes, that was her actual name) was a superhero that had quite a bit of popularity in the 70's, I believe. I think she had a brief return in the 2000's, hence the interest in an origin for her. She also has been known by the name Duela Dent.
Would have been cool to mention Helena Bertinelli, Cassandra Cain, and Stephanie Brown just for a bit of history on the other great characters who have taken up the mantle :)
Kathy kane actually is not considered as the original batgirl in the actual present DC universe as they made that clear in the back of the batman inc comic and Barbara gordan is the true original batgirl ( at least for now).
My favorite superheroine. So glad Babs is back in the role; nobody else could do the role better than her.
Barbara Gordon will always be my favorite incarnation of Batgirl.
Same here
Batman and Robin were like father and son. Plain and simple.
well i believe they ARE father and son now. if i'm not mistaken, Damian Wayne is the current robin, son of batman. I haven't read any batman comics with damian in it, so if he's bruce's nephew or something forgive my mistake...
digmyvids Damien Wayne is dead.. he was killed by The Heretic
Adam Poole and that would be where my mistake is. at least i got the part about him being batman's son right. who is the new robin? if there is any??? sorry i have not read any recent issue of batman comic books in years.
digmyvids don't feel bad i haven't read any DC comics since they rebooted the DC universe and messed it up.. i only know cause i looked up the info for the Son of Batman film. .and as far as i know there is no new robin.. at least not yet

i like the barbra gordon version of batgirl the whole idea that its comissioner gordon daughter is more dramatic
Pffffft, everybody know Barbara Gordon is the best Batgirl.
"But what about Cassandra Cain and Stephanie Brown?"
What *about* Cassandra Cain and Stephanie Brown?
That their absolutely awesome
JackJyls
Well Cassandra was cool til her writer fucked her over.
Steph is just useless.
Eric Coldfire Steph has a huge fanbase. That's the reason they brought her back in The New 52.
their batwomen
Prince Deluca
Batwoman is different.
We will miss you, Yvonne Craig. We will never forget you, original Batgirl. Never!!!!!
Hear, Hear!
Rip🤍🕊
I LOVE BATGIRL!!!!
SAME HERE >:D
No way I do Too guys !!!
me too, she is bae
Me THREE
I just love Batgirl!! She kicks ass!!
Barbera Gordon was introduced on the show first. Her popularity on the show brought her into the comics. I've watched a lot of Mojo Videos today and on several occasions I find myself questioning the validity of their information
are you sure? Your talking about Batman '66 tv show right? I think you might be right... I'm going to research this
I'm absolutely sure. She was introduced because the producers of the '66 Adam west TV show were asked to create a strong female character because batwoman and the original batgirl (Kathy and Bette Kane) were both a major flop

Barbra Gordon Batgirl and Dick Greyson Night wing are two of my favorite heroes. (: the newest Batgirl comic was pretty awesome in my opinion.
I swear to god batgirl and spider woman is like the hottest super girls
add power girl to the mix lol
+Jotaro Kujo I might add her one day
kristian johansen awesome :D
Name Expert760 oh definitely
***** god that right 😆
I like how they brought Barbara back as Batgirl in New 52. It makes sense with the whole reboot thing trying to bring in new readers. I also really enjoyed her story in Death of the Family.
I always enjoyed her as The Oracle, especially during the Arkham Asylum. She's a great secondary character.
Barbara Gordon is my favorite and best Batgirl ever. Period.
I have to agree w/ most that Barbara was much better as "Oracle," than "Bat-Girl," more interesting. I do believe the "Bat-Girl" persona was an important part of Barbara's past. She is my #3 favorite Super-Hero or Heroine of ALL-TIME.

They forgot Stephanie Brown and Cassandra Cain!!!
Technically Cain was the BlackBat but yeah the two of them should have been mentioned
@@Johden she was originally Batgirl she was even the first batgirl to get a full solo series
I really miss the mini series Birds of Prey it actually had a pretty good storyline finally brought catwoman and batmans daughter out of the mist, but i do believe it only had one season.
THE THIRD WHEEL IS ROBIN! 2nd is Alfred, and the 4th is Nightwing. Batgirl's 5th.
Alfred's done more for Bruce, than anyone else has.
... Suspicions that Batman and Robin shared more then a cave? There are several comic book panels of Dick and Bruce sharing a bed from the 50's. That shit happened.
Yep, ironic that Batwoman became a lesbian crimefighter in modern day, isn't it. :D
FrostBandanaDude That was Batwoman.
Slade Wilson Yes, that's what I said.
Maybe he spent all his money on the big house and all the equipment in the batcave so he couldn't afford two beds. Either that or he is gay.
Kyle Rhulain Lol, it's no wonder that Batman never settles down with a woman.
Batgirl: Year One stays as my favorite version of Batgirl.
dont ever show anymore batman and robin clips ever again
lol why?
have you seen that movie
Ohh... that Robin
why? why? have you seen it, it's like one of the worst films ever!
totally agree with you!
I'm so glad Barbara is back as Batgirl in the new 52. Although I did like her as Oracle.
She's amazing as both!
Let's hope new DC comic movies will fix Batgirl
Yup...still waiting on that one...
You know what really grinds my gears? The 1997 movie Batman & Robin.
Can you guys make one on Storm from x-men? Please!!!!!!
Agreed.
queen, My favorite superheroe
0:32 Now that's how a female Superhero should be shaped. My word.
Vera Evans ew.
I had Batgirl and Batwoman figures from back in the day!!
WatchMojo, you guys should do a history of the Bat Family in chronological order
everyone in every comic is a master of Judo
And they forgot the time where she and batman --- --- in the Killing Joke movie!
Oh right. This came out before that.
TheNerdDude in all honesty, I had in mind to do a different take on the Killing Joke, where the Joker didn't shoot her through the spine, but he along with Harley Quinn blast her kneecaps with shotguns, causing for her legs to be amputated

@@damianprock1650 that's nice
Rip Yvonne Craig and Adam West!!
I'm a batgirl fan😊😁
Batgirl, Supergirl, Stargirl, Wonder woman & Black Canary are the best Superheroines.
Sorry Captain Marvel. You just don't cut the Mustard.
I prefer her just to be Oracle.
Eh, I'm kinda 50/50 on the Batgirl/Oracle thing.
Sonic Warrior Dang I forgot about Joker shooting her leg to.
Thug Life Super Gamer Arkham Knight reminded me.
Sonic Warrior The first Batman game reminded me if you look at the character bio.
Thug Life Super Gamer Same. But I was playing Arkham Knight and watching a let's play of it yesterday and it literally shows you how it happens.
"She's the third wheel of the dynamic duo" Oh god.
What about Stephanie Brown and Cassandra Cain????
Littlemissdirtbag29 and of course, there would also be Riory Grayson
Batman & Robin (1997) and Supergirl (1984) were box office failures.
2:16 what the hell is happening ?
Looks like bat semen
Stephen Tat notice how Batman's dick is shaped like a hand poiting
Happy birthday to Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl, her birthday is September 23! Blessings and hugs!
maybe you should do a black canary origin
Finally someone who piece such obvious info together.
...what about Cassandra Cane?
"Cassandra Cain"
Suit me up, Uncle Alfred!
*shudder*
Stephanie Brown was the best Batgirl! I always preferred Babs Gordon as Oracle, anyway.
I agree
*Cassandra Cain
Thankfully, Barbara Gordon is back as the best Batgirl then!
Yep
Cain is a great fighter.
Brown is creative/resourceful.
Gordon has both, plus smart as hell.
I love Cain as Orphan, Brown as Spoiler, and Gordon as Batgirl and the Oracle.
I Cant wait for her movie
I agree. So long as they keep her as the daughter of the police commissioner.
I do not appreciate this video's description.
I appreciate your use of Batman & Robin footage even less.
I love these mojo comic book videos
Barbra is awesome :)
"She's the third wheel to the dynamic duo" hahaha I see what you did there.
her dlc character in injustice is sooo good like its not even fair they made her so great
Didn't want to spoil it :P And the episode still has that opening and that specific plot so it's still effective
Cassandra (effing) Cain! I rest my case.
Barbara Gordon Past off to Cassandra Cain The Third Batgirl as Anti-Heroine
Thought that Barbara became Batgirl in comics the same way she became during one of those Harley Quinn series episode.
Killer Moth was on Teen Titans as well, his daughter Kitten wanted Robie Poo as she called Robin to take her to her school's prom and boy STarfire threw such fits!
Fantastic Origin Stories on Bat Girl
This might be a to obscure, but I would love to see a video on the origins of the Metal Men. Love all your origins videos, and love to disagree with your top ten lists. keep up the good work!
you already have a top 10 dc superheroes, do a top 10 marvel heroes!
I liked it yall should do red robin Tim Drake
great video this time. I'd love to see an origin story of galacticus or doomsday. I would find it very interesting and I would really appreciate it.
Could you do the other Batgirls aswell, please? Like Cassandra Cain and Stephanie Brown? :)
Do one of Jason Todd and Batwoman (:
batgirl is the heroine with more incarnations of all
top ten superhero battles we want to see in film
Well into production... so soon...
Batgirl Actress Yvonne Craig Dina Meyer Alicia Silverstone & Leslie Grace

Samuel Gavin nah I hate that episode a lot, the only thing I liked was the ending.
You forgot to mention that she led the birds of prey. And now she is back on the field.
no new friends, no new friends, no new friends, no no new.
Stay down with my day 1 duo, so you hear me say

Even I have to admit that she took the best possible name for the best computer hacker in the DC universe.
there is also stephanie brown, spoiler who became a temporarily robin but then failed and came back as batgirl.

What is the art at 0:33 from? I have not been too into comics since 2006 so unfortunately I may have missed it. Babs looks AWESOME!
Do deadpool next!
The true origin: Batman saw her in tight clothing and thought "Damn, I want me some of that."
she also starred in a live action series 'Birds Of Prey' with a few other supergals
"third wheel" hahaha I see what you did there
Just caught the joke myself lol
Can you do one video that summarizes about all the robins (like Dick-Nightwing, Jason-Red hood kinda thing) ?
Can you do a Electrawoman and Dynagirl one??
This series should have a playlist
I loved Barbra Gordon bat girl that I grew up with she was awesome
Joker's Daughter (yes, that was her actual name) was a superhero that had quite a bit of popularity in the 70's, I believe. I think she had a brief return in the 2000's, hence the interest in an origin for her. She also has been known by the name Duela Dent.
Well, I already know about the robins but the way they do it in these origin videos is what I wanna see.
The intro was awesome.
Please do "Superhero Origins: Batwoman" please
When are you going to origin of our favorite music bands?
they've probably slept with more villains than any other heroes haha
the event Flashpoint caused major changes to the DC universe which lead to the new 52. Kill joke was a pre-flashpoint event.
Would have been cool to mention Helena Bertinelli, Cassandra Cain, and Stephanie Brown just for a bit of history on the other great characters who have taken up the mantle :)
Hey Lyndsy Fonseca should played Batgirl/Barbara Gordon in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight film Trilogy!
They forgot one other person that dawned the Batgirl mask; a mute young lady named Cassandra Cain.
Barbra Gordon recovered from her paralysis In all new 52
that many clips of Batman and Robin (the film) hurt my head
love all these orgins videos any chance we could see a Felcity from Arrow orgin?
She doesn't that backstory in the comics appart from being firestorm step mom..
