I have a pet fan theory that it was Helper who opened the bay doors on movie night. This isn't much evidence, but in S7E1 Helper is dead set on preventing them from finding Jonas in the PROblem. Mainly though, I like the comedy of it. Hank and Dean beat up Helper in Careers in science mistaking him for Phantom Spaceman. How mindblowing would it be if all these years later, HELPER REALLY WAS PHANTOM SPACEMAN ALL ALONG? I rest my case
This is so stupid that I'm immediately adopting it as my own. Also gives payoff for all the fear of Helpers being killers, the one original helper that wasn't decommissioned killed dozens.
One more thing I just remembered that I want to add. In Party for Tarzan, during Monarch's monologue at the Rusty death fakeout, we cut to Helper staring at the PROblem light. That detail might be a reach for my theory, but it's still great foreshadowing
Even after the movie has come out I still see lots of people confused as to WHY THE MONARCH HATES RUSTY: I came away from the movie feeling that there IS no number one reason. Seems like it's a ton of little things. The Monarch mentions in the movie that "Rusty sleeping with Debbie" is only 1 of 100 different reasons why he hates him. The biggest reasons probably being: Rusty being a bad playmate as a kid (stole the toy truck), Rusty seemingly having a better life and still having a parent while Malcolm's died in a plane crash, Rusty making fun of Monarch's poetry and eyebrows in college, again thinking Rusty slept with Debbie, also Rusty "getting all the credit" for the college wing explosion and blasting off Underbheit's face, etc... THEN the added fact that the Monarch is by nature a very aggressive man, with that 2% baboon blood pumping through his veins.. AND most importantly, a lot of times the Monarch is prone to hating himself, which subconsciously makes him also hate Rusty because Rusty IS him. So it's probably all of these things combined.

He also chose a bloody bear costume so he can actually be intimidating, as opposed to sea lice like he is normally forced to wear.
I know you are probably sick to death of the scare bear identity thing, but I had always believed it was actually Hank from a future costume party where he had to throw himself at the mercy of time travel in order to prevent time from unraveling by completing the loop as he gets thrown into random points in time that have various results from him accidentally causing the Movie Night Massacre to him suddenly appearing in front of the phantom limb and his troupe. I think Scare Bear is Dean from an alternate timeline's future. That explains how SB got access to Impossible Industries, because at the time Dean was an intern there, so SB would just have to remember the code. It also explains why SB knew exactly where to find Hank in the blizzard, because future Dean would remember where Hank's body was found in his own time line. It even explains why SB took Hank to Dean's dormitory room instead of a hospital, because SB was driven mad by guilt and shame over the fact that while Hank was dying out in the snow (because Serena was ignoring Hank's calls), Dean was having sex with her. He needed to show Hank his greatest shame. He came back to this time to save Hank, because it was Hank's death that triggered him to spiral into depression and madness. I would like to think that the original Hank and Dean grew up to be normal, well-adjusted members of society since they werent a part of the world of super science and super villainy.
scare bear is a time traveller they show that time box a few times so there is probably Dean trying to make things right but never really got the balls or opportunity to fix stuff until then
theories where fun but after getting and watch what i like to call the Season 8 Movie... we're guna need a season 9 and 10 to really really rap the hole show up.
Doc is a clone of the original Rusty. That is confirmed as a fact now. But what happened to the original Rusty? I like to think he didn’t actually die, but hid in Grover Cleveland’s Presidential Time Machine and is about to pop out in modern time.
My personal head-canon is that Doc is a prototype clone of Jonas. Jonas and Ben had to work out the bugs in the cloning process and “Rusty” is the end result, a failed version of Jonas and JJ being a bit closer to what Jonas was aiming for. The same goes for Dean being a direct clone of Doc which would be why he treats Dean so much better than Hank. Hank has a legit mom, the one Action Man mentioned in Coma Town. Her abandoning Doc fed into his inferiority complex which he takes out on Hank. And the reason he tries to do right by Dermott is that he and Nikki were forced to be apart, so maybe some small sliver of conscience is him trying to do right by her.
personally i think the rusty show was less of a multiple episodes arc long tv show as today and more of tv movies specials that compiled makes a series, we think of it as the same as johnny quests show, but is likely that after any big adventure jonas had, he himself made/directed the film/show version with a mix of both actors and the actual people, i pretty much imagine it as a mix of both the real deal but even more glorification of himself or like making rusty a more "legit" child adventurer also, my theory is that rusty was never born, when jonas got monarch's mom pregnant, he either stole her eggs to create rusty OR he somehow cloned monarch, making rusty and him still blood related while not necessary brothers
I do want that theory about the sovereign to be right! Especially after hearing him as David Bowie say "Just some bloke who wanted to be anyone but himself"
Force Majeure is The Monarch's mom. Jonas sr and Monarch's mom are in on it together, playing monarch's dad for his usefulness / money. The Monarch's mom is Force Majeure. she'd lead blue morpho (who if youll remember himself played both sides, when jonas first met him, he said he'd heard he was 'no good') into killing off her osi enemies, and then, after setting her husband up to save Jonas over Scaramancutla on spider skull island, had jonas set her husband up for blackmail (!) so that they could use him against her enemies within the Guild. the blue morpho unwittingly killed off guild members so that his wife could rise in the ranks (like how later Monarch uses 21 in much the same fashion to get to arch Rusty). The rest is also some theories ive come up with, with less and less coherency as the list goes on: eventually the Sovereign kills Force Majeure when he caused their plane to crash, which is why he never claimed the prize $ bounty when he killed the blue morpho. also, Dr. Orpheus' Master is, or is related to, the Sovereign. Also Jonas' life's work is the holy grail of Super-Science, Immortality: P.R.O.B.L.E.M. , Putting brains into robots (like VenData) bringing the dead back to life (Venturestein) He and Benton Quest worked on cloning, and I like to think Jonas Venture inpregnanted Monarch's mom -twice- Three times: first used artifical insemination for a clone (Jonas jr is an exact clone of Jonas sr., not a son). but then he slept with her, knocking her up with Rusty, (who then in the womb ate the clone) and then used Artifical insemination again, but with The Monarch's dad's dna. so rusty and monarch are 1/2 siblings, twins from different dads (yes this is a rare but real thing) jonas sr and Monarch's mom played monarch's dad for his usefulness / money. The Monarch's mom is Force Majeure, btw. and maybe, and this one's far out there, maybe Jonas Did Not sleep with her, and that they are siblings (jonas and monarchs mom). he's the leader of OSI (more or less) and she is the leader of the guild (more or less) its a metaphor for divide and conquer. like goodguy/badguys Capitalism/Communism, OSI/Guild; its all divisionism from people at the top who are in on it together
The only venture missing a bro is Jonas, i bet Force Majeure is Jonas Sister. And that's why Jonas is angry the first time he meets Blue Morpho because he was dating his sister.
@@cashnelson2306 spoiler alert! I haven't seen it yet but I'm about to here in about 1 hour I just got off work heading home. Glad to see that my conspiracy theory are not completely off track LOL
So the thing about dermotts dad theory, I don’t know why but when I first saw that episode I thought it was implying Hank was the dad. I don’t get why I was thinking that but how he hung out with Hank just made me think that dermott and his “mom” was talking about Hank.
3:20 gotta disagree on the no evidence here, Doc specifically saying that he got the genetic material from toenails was what raised alarms for me - that they'd specify and that he didn't just use the originals corpses. Anyway for my fan theories, I have a big one and a small one. The big one is tying the Sovereign and Jonas stories together, they were in cahoots from the 70's and collaborated to kill blue morpho, pushing the sovereign to the top. My small theory? Manotaur and Kano were roommates. Just look at the apartment phantom limb and brock go to respectively, it's the same apartment!
Scare Bear was in the show before carrying Hank into Dean’s dorm room I always thought it was Mol as she disappeared after a few seasons ago and nothing since
Just came up with one rewatching the series. Ben is an older and washed up version of Dr. Quest and created Model Two as a way to recreate Johnny. Not because the original Johnny died and is a clone but because he lost touch and connections with him and built Helper as a sort of son and way to cope with Johnny being gone. Thats why he’s a second chance.
My Theory is that Scare Bear is Dean, consumed with guilt and shame, from a future where Hank dies from a concussion in the snow bank after learning of Dean and Sirena"s affair. He come back in time useing Grover Cleveland's time machine.
I believe that Brock is still the boys mother. Movie confirmed there wasn't technically a mom as doc made a synthetic womb, but now we have to wonder whose chromosomes did he use, his own is a given but he couldn't of used an x and y chromosome from himself as the boys would be deformed in some way. I actually believe he used Brocks dna for one of the halfs, maybe even not purposefully. Doc could've grabbed a woman's hair he loved or something but it was actually Brocks hair who was undercover spying on him. I know it's far fetched but I actually believe it.
i went from starting the show believing this to watching the movie believing it. there's so many throwaway lines and moments that make Brock favoritism to Hank feel like that's his kid which is so funny. There's a line where doc says "you shouldn't smoke while we're pregnant" that made me go back just to find more weird one-off lines that are also jokes like Hank being circumcised and Dean isn't which is so specific? Brock calling the kids family before he quits in s3, etc Also, I wouldn't be shocked if he did use brock dna because Doc used Debra's eggs he made 2 sons to ensure they were different and not two Rusty+Jonas lineage. Why Brock I have no clue but making sons out of the daughter of a big-name villain family with your big name good guy family as a sort of insurance and fuck you (and importantly love) is something i could believe from this show. Brock is seen as a monster of a man i can see Doc adding his DNA on purpose
I think uncle hatred is scare bear.. 😱 they're both have a similar height, and both are tubby. Both know what goes on in the boys' lives.. he also didn't follow Dr. Venture on his adventure with Billy.. during that episode. Plus, he used to be part of the guild until he sold them out to be OSI again so there's a need to use a disguise if he's gonna be around villians. Which scare bear was in both episodes he first appeared in.. hatred was in new york with doc when Dean went to his internship. And he works at the venture new york buliding when they had the party 🥳
What about rustys conjoined twin being the son that Jonas actually made/ wanted and rusty is the one he didnt want? Not to mention jonas when he made malcom he wanted to create his best invention “his son” something that would truly be on his own image, a clone of himself
It's basically confirmed that The Monarch is Rusty's half brother. After it comes to light that Monarch's father is Venture bot and memories start returning a conversation is shown that he is having trouble with getting his wife pregnant and Jonas is trying to smooth over sleeping with his wife. It also shows the Venturebot was responsible for opening the doors on movie night.
S7E5 really gives you this biggest Clue of what the Movie laded out. watch the part of Helper 2 aka Red Helper talking with Dean and that is more less a short answer to the Movie or as i call in season 8 the movie. they need a season 9/10 to truely rap up the show.
My theory on why the Monarch hates Doc is that there is no reason. The Monarch's hate for Doc has been used to parody romantic love, and if you aknowledge that love at first sight is a thing, then why not hate at first sight? Is it not enough that Doc is just a really shitty person deserving of hate? If you think about it it's weird how people just accept the story of Romeo and Juliet in that from just seeing each other at a party they fell so madly in love that they got themselves and both their families killed, but at the same time they think there needs to be a reason for the Monarch to dedicate his life to hating Doc.
What if scare bear is another one of hanks personalities, hank had just hit his head and scare bear appeared to help hank who i believe is hanks dark ego and was planning to kill his girlfriend and dean but passed out, which would also explain why in the movie hanks personalities are on screen because he had just suffered a head injury also the dr. Os vision scare bear was in a couple flashes and thats what he was afraid of hank being overcome by his dadker ego
Rusty and the boys mother are half siblings meaning they are a product of incest But rusty being rusty dean got more rusty DNA and the opposite is true for hank
I disagree. I think SB is a character they wanted to go somewhere with but the series got cancelled. We are supposed to obsess over him why else is he so integral to Hank's arc at this point in time? He's not a throw away.

I would like to think that the original Hank and Dean grew up to be normal, well-adjusted members of society since they werent a part of the world of super science and super villainy.
Watching this after radiant is the blood of the baboon heart is funny at points. Like yeah, monarch being a venture in a way was subverted sorta
scare bear is a time traveller they show that time box a few times so there is probably Dean trying to make things right but never really got the balls or opportunity to fix stuff until then
theories where fun but after getting and watch what i like to call the Season 8 Movie... we're guna need a season 9 and 10 to really really rap the hole show up.
Most concise analysis!
Kudos!
personally i think the rusty show was less of a multiple episodes arc long tv show as today and more of tv movies specials that compiled makes a series, we think of it as the same as johnny quests show, but is likely that after any big adventure jonas had, he himself made/directed the film/show version with a mix of both actors and the actual people, i pretty much imagine it as a mix of both the real deal but even more glorification of himself or like making rusty a more "legit" child adventurer
also, my theory is that rusty was never born, when jonas got monarch's mom pregnant, he either stole her eggs to create rusty OR he somehow cloned monarch, making rusty and him still blood related while not necessary brothers
Nice vid! I would love to see a video of your personal thoughts on the movie after you watched it. It would be pretty cool to comment on.
That is coming for sure
I do want that theory about the sovereign to be right! Especially after hearing him as David Bowie say "Just some bloke who wanted to be anyone but himself"
that WASN'T the alchemist?! well thats actually mind blowing!
The rest is also some theories ive come up with, with less and less coherency as the list goes on:
eventually the Sovereign kills Force Majeure when he caused their plane to crash, which is why he never claimed the prize $ bounty when he killed the blue morpho.
also, Dr. Orpheus' Master is, or is related to, the Sovereign.
Also Jonas' life's work is the holy grail of Super-Science, Immortality: P.R.O.B.L.E.M. , Putting brains into robots (like VenData) bringing the dead back to life (Venturestein) He and Benton Quest worked on cloning, and I like to think Jonas Venture inpregnanted Monarch's mom -twice- Three times: first used artifical insemination for a clone (Jonas jr is an exact clone of Jonas sr., not a son). but then he slept with her, knocking her up with Rusty, (who then in the womb ate the clone) and then used Artifical insemination again, but with The Monarch's dad's dna.
so rusty and monarch are 1/2 siblings, twins from different dads (yes this is a rare but real thing)
jonas sr and Monarch's mom played monarch's dad for his usefulness / money.
Well you were on the right track in some ways!
@@cashnelson2306 spoiler alert! I haven't seen it yet but I'm about to here in about 1 hour I just got off work heading home.
Glad to see that my conspiracy theory are not completely off track LOL
@@MathewRenfro don't worry, you got more than enough wrong to be fully unspoiled :)
@@cashnelson2306 just seen it. was worth the 20+ years build up.
The real scare bear is the friends we made along the way
So the thing about dermotts dad theory, I don’t know why but when I first saw that episode I thought it was implying Hank was the dad.
Just look at the apartment phantom limb and brock go to respectively, it's the same apartment!
nice going to detail on the very early theories
I’m not hugely obsessed with Scare Bear either, but I refuse to think he isn’t SOMETHING of importance.
Scare Bear was in the show before carrying Hank into Dean’s dorm room
I always thought it was Mol as she disappeared after a few seasons ago and nothing since
So.. you haven't watched the movie yet?
I like the Theory that Scare Bear is Teddy Talks A Lot but like, not enough to get emotionally invested in should he turn out to be nobody we know.
MANY of these theories are handled by the finale movie. And the biggest one is revealed in the post-credits scene.
There's a dude in the comments above who hit the nail on the head lol
Have you seen the movie yet? I just watched it. And no, you're right about scare bear. He doesn't show up at all
My Theory is that Scare Bear is Dean, consumed with guilt and shame, from a future where Hank dies from a concussion in the snow bank after learning of Dean and Sirena"s affair. He come back in time useing Grover Cleveland's time machine.
Scare Bear simply just exists in Hanks mind, like all of his other hanks. Put another way Scare Bear is another Hank. Maybe his most Carnal Hank.
Scare bear looks like a Manhunt character, would be cool to mod him and Hank in.
One theory that hasn't been addressed is who killed the blue morpho? And why the sovereign would be so interested in covering up whoddunit?
It was the Monarch. He kicked Jonas Venture's ass, too
I believe that Brock is still the boys mother.
Brock calling the kids family before he quits in s3, etc
Also, I wouldn't be shocked if he did use brock dna because Doc used Debra's eggs he made 2 sons to ensure they were different and not two Rusty+Jonas lineage.
What ever happened to Baron Underbheit?
It's basically confirmed that The Monarch is Rusty's half brother. After it comes to light that Monarch's father is Venture bot and memories start returning a conversation is shown that he is having trouble with getting his wife pregnant and Jonas is trying to smooth over sleeping with his wife. It also shows the Venturebot was responsible for opening the doors on movie night.
Have you seen the movie yet?
So bs the movie didnt mention the bear.
Other people see scare bear too, including when he carries Hank to Dean's dorm room. That'd be one hell of a personality complex...
Scare Bear is obviously Grover Cleveland with too much time travel damage.
This is the first Scare Bear theory I'm into!
Rusty and the boys mother are half siblings meaning they are a product of incest
But rusty being rusty dean got more rusty DNA and the opposite is true for hank
Scarebear is the first dean or hank and only one of them died
1:55 Does he know?
You guys saw the movie right?
I disagree. I think SB is a character they wanted to go somewhere with but the series got cancelled. We are supposed to obsess over him why else is he so integral to Hank's arc at this point in time? He's not a throw away.
Have you happened to listen to the movie commentary yet?
thanks man
My theory is that it was the sovereign who killed jonas
😮💨
Isn't the dorky teen from the photo the alchemist from the order of the triad
5:18
My theory is Dean is a clone of Rusty and Hank is a natural kid of Doc and Myra
Most likey they cousins
