East to West - 2000km ride on the Norden 901 Expedition

- At the end of June I rode my 901 Expedition from Warsaw to London. I took 4 days covering around 500kms a day traversing through Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, Belgium, France and of course the UK. It was a great ride made easier by a great motorcycle!
Hey mate. You said you’ve had BMW GS’s. How do you compare the Norden to the GS?
I'll add the usual 'subjective clause 🙂' but what I found especially against the GSA models, is this is lighter to maneuver, more comfortable and enjoyable to ride. I felt more confident riding through traffic and on the twisties and the engine is a hoot to ride. The GS models definitely have more low down grunt which is fun too, but I have not found anything wanting on the Norden. Last thing is with a chain (my first in 20 years) the power to the back wheel is more raw...
Thanks mate. That’s good to hear, I have a Tenere at the moment, but want a few more luxuries however don’t want to lose the go most places ability.
Can you compare it to Tiger 900 Rally Pro? I am considering replacing my tiger. Did you go to see Krakow as well? I tour Europe from London as well on the Tiger. For me there is nothing wrong with it, but I like the Norden design ...
Hey mate apologies for the tardiness...I had the 800XCX when it came out. I really like Triumphs (I've had 4 or 5 in my time) and on performance you won't really notice too much difference. It's as you say...looks! The Norden just looks fantastic versus all the other brands that seem to be minor adjustments to each other!. Plus all the additional bits...heated stuff, quickshifter, fog lights etc.
