as an aussie its so weird seeing so many koalas on the ground. they spend about 20hrs a day sleeping in trees so its rare to see 1 nevermind on the ground
nice dlc but i think they could have hit a spot with two more animals: Emus and tasmanian devil/ tiger. Emus as a meme from the great emu war and the others because tasmania gets forgotten in many zoogames.
Omg can’t wait My family call cassowaries “I need the toilet” birds because the first time we saw one it was running around it’s enclosure like it was running for the loo!
as someone who visits Australia Zoo pretty much every other week, and often sees Koala's on my walk to school, let me just say: they are way to active. i've seen Koala's hundreds, probably thousands of times. they sit in one spot, eat, sleep, and don't move. occasionally they'll move around in a tree to get to a new spot, but they are very rarely on the ground. i think i've seen them on the ground 5 times?? but yeah, Koala's are boring as hell. they don't move
yeah the koala's aren't particularly realistic. They just sleep and eat in trees barely move, and if you catch it on the ground its cos its gotten out of one tree and is going up another
I am so jealous you get to visit Australia Zoo every other week. It's a bucketlist item for me to go there. Unfortunately I live on the other side of the world
CASUARIUS CASUARIUS! YES! Finally, my favourite animal is now in Planet Zoo! I'd like to suggest an enclosure idea for anyone to read: A road with a crashed jeep, but the food is next to the jeep. Since cassowaries get run over alot, why not give them an exhibit with a Cassowary Crossing, to make sure nothing runs them over!
@@M1NT-s3b Mostly out of self defence, the most infamous Cassowary kill was when some idiot shot the bird, and he had a dog with him. Cassowaries have a natural fear of dogs and dingos.
Having lived in Australia for two years of my life, it's amazing to see these animals brought to life. The kangaroos fighting was really awesome, the koalas, and even a blue-tongued lizards!! The cassowaries and dingoes are beautiful too! I hope we'll get more Aussie animals one day, because they are just so unique. The only thing is that the koalas are FAR too activity, they hardly ever come down from trees. But this pack made me so happy!! I totally reminded me of my time in Australia!!
@@oceanbliss1923 it's not that I dislike it, but with this pack we already have 4 canines, 3 of them are even the same species (timber wolf, arctic wolf and now the dingo are all Canis lupus) i just wish we had something different and more interesting
They truly put their heart and soul into this. The detail is amazing. Just watching the koala interaction with the enrichment item is a great example. Not only can they go through the piping, but it actually reacts precisely to the body collision. ZT2 did not manage things like that. When something was placed, it didn't simply push out of the way and it DEFINITELY did not move individual parts in response to the animal's shape.
For the people who wanna skip to specific parts: 0:00 Intro 0:38 Koalas 4:30 Cassowaries 7:58 Kangeroos 12:51 Dingoes 16:20 Blue Tongued Skink 18:35 Summary
Watching the cassowarys run makes me smile, especially the babies~ Ahh, the dingos are so cute, they're so happy in their little paddling pool, I love them! The slow-motion mlem was great, thank you for that, BIS!
Kind of bothered with how much the koalas move around. They should have added something interesting with them about needing a certain amount of trees or the ground space not being as important because even seeing a koala on the ground is rare. They only ever go on the ground when moving trees or they absolutely have to. Seen a couple of inconsistencies with some of the animals in planet zoo but this one takes the cake. Still love the game tho.
Me too. I have personally never seen a koala, but I do know that they spend 20 hours a day, sleeping, in a tree. They get their food from the eucalyptus, they get their water from the eucalyptus, they sleep in eucalyptus. From a game perspective, it would be more boring, but from a realistic point of view, they need to update those koalas.
This is a wonderful spotlight on the Australia Pack, Best in Slot! I look forward to buying the pack once I get done with my Nursing classes today! I've actually been into a dingo exhibit before and actually got to pet the males in the exhibit! They were named after the Avengers.
I'm so glad they added red kangaroos. I worked with a group of them during an internship two years ago. The females didn't really want anything to do with me, but the big male Herbert loved to come over for snacks and pets when I would come in clean and feed them
I've been lucky to see all five of these creatures in real life. Kangaroos and blue-tongued lizards are fairly common in the UK and you can probably find a cassowary if you know where to look, but there's only one or two zoos in the country to have koalas or dingos. Dingos in particular are so full of energy and a joy to watch.
Heads up that Koalas are also marsupials! And they did such a good job with their animation also - might even be cuter than that of the Kangaroo. Might wanna check it out! :)
