Oh wow, yea she did get hooked. From Yale to jail drugs doesn’t discriminate. I live in Philly and unfortunately I’ve seen a lot of people go down the road of no return. It’s a shame.
For all the people complaining about how he sounds live....uhm, that's how he's always sounded. He's never had a great "live" voice but who the f&*k cares. He more than makes up for it with energy and emotion. I don't remember any of us giving a sh*t how good or bad bands sounded when performing live back in the 90's. Most sounded pretty off live.....and we loved every minute of it.
I'm sort of a year too late to respond since you've most likely already lost interest, but if you go to his performance in August of 1993, he sounded great, 1:1 with the actual studio version. I'm not here to complain about how he sounds now, because it's bound to happen to most if not all bands. Just look at System of A Down, Serj just doesn't have that raspy tone in his voice anymore, but he still performs. But to say he's always sounded like this is pretty ludicrous.
He might be a good musician but he’s definitely a shitty singer 😑😑 I still love him though. When he sings he just sounds like he’s whining all the time. But like I said you got a love Him.
for me, a concert is based mostly on its setlist. why would this not be on every one? still remember a gal named olinda first introducing me to the pumpkins back in '93. this band will always remind me of her.
Any song a half step down from standard tuning sounds so good in an arena. Especially if the air is just right and not too hot or not too cold. Thank god for years of concert/marching band, music theory and playing instruments to help me appreciate music when it simply sounds just a bit different!
@@goldenhourkodak ong rock is literally coming back as we speak there’s so many great artists these people are outrageous . they just have to actually look
Billy Corgan was never known for being a great live singer but, the vibe of the whole band jamming was good. They sound like a cover band nowadays unfortunately
I think it's the tempo. If you listen to the Rockpalast 96 or Metro 93 performances, they're noticeably faster and the drums and guitar are continuously pushing the tempo making it feel more aggressive and urgent. This tempo is closer to the album and everyone is letting it drag just a tiny bit.
Holy fuck, how did I get to 52? Where did it go? 4 kids 2 grandkids. Time to hit the road and party like a rock star again. Cover over me, I'm going in. See ya in the pit....
Now that the dust has cleared, I am going to go on record and say that the Smashing Pumpkins were the last great rock band, and certainly way better than their contemporaries.

Legendary Band and song. I love them. But ofcourse... there isnt this 90s energy. Not in the new songs or the shows. They try to sound to clean. They have always been dirty... and thats what is voice needs too...
Y'all fn tripping the vocal performance is solid, yall need to learn about music yo This man is singing in lower octave & vocal tone is rich & clear.. y'all quick to crucify him just cuz he ain't sining back in his prime pfff.. bro he's 50 plus touring all these years, & his vocals chords have changed & for him to still hit those still well yall cappin
He seems to be using different effects from what he used back in the '90s. So much of his tone came from his fuzz pedal, and now it sounds like he's using a mid-focused overdrive. The fuzz sounds a lot better on these tunes.
I'm happy the 3 of them are playing. Would've been great if Darcy was there.
The pumpkins will never be the same again without Darcy not much of a reunion I was raised on the pumpkins and the replacement for her is pathetic
I love Darcy
Nv Johansson i didnt know she still looked good in 2000

Alot of people won't understand how bad ass this is. Fucking awesome.
Lmao at the people complaining about lousy singing. This your first time listening to Corgan sing?
Yeah I mean he's never been a great singer but this not his best performance.
Sometimes it’s that or cancelling the gig
He had a good voice live... Back in the day
It doesn’t help that the mixing on his vocals is horrible
Sweet Jesus! It's good to know they can still Jam! Thanx for the upload! Later...
way underrated band...... time will tell. And they will be seen as innovators they were

It's a fuckin savage song! , song of a generation!!!! Still admire them so much!!!
So happy to see them jamming again!
Great performance, screw the haters
One of my favorite guitar players
Colonel Kurtz on guitar and vocals... Anyway, greatest song of one of the greatest bands. Still kicking.
lmfao
This is how a band in the 90's use to sound live! Long live the 90's and pumpkins! This is raw! Like it ahould be

What a performance
I think they did great, and Corgan sounded fine! LOVE THEM
Everyone complaining about Corgan's vocal. Ffs, this is rock music. Go listen to pop if you looking for a melodious vocal. Age matter.
Phil Collins Steve Perry sound great old

What happened to Billy? When did uncle Fester join?
LMAO
Is that young Les Claypool in the thumbnail?
Did James introduce Billy at his own show?
He introduces the whole band, but this clip only shows Billy being named.
Just wish it didn't sound so processed. Does NOT sound raw like they used to when performing.
I’m not calling this a bad performance, but why does Billy sound German during most of the song?

Billy looks bored out of his mind. Couple that with the fact that he can't sing at all now, it makes one wonder why he even bothered coming back.
Why does the guitar sound so ugly?
He seems to be using different effects from what he used back in the '90s. So much of his tone came from his fuzz pedal, and now it sounds like he's using a mid-focused overdrive. The fuzz sounds a lot better on these tunes.
Sounds stronger as a tone now vs the muddy mess that was his fuzz.
zero energy :(
