Bro, put your line through the crimp, put the hook on, put the tag end through the crimp again, THEN, pull the tag end safely away from the standing line and then use your lighter to mushroom the end of the line, BEFORE YOU CRIMP THE CRIMP.
Then you can pull the standing line. The line will slide through until the mushroomed end comes snug against the crimp. Then you can crimp the crimp and there will be no danger of slippage from the line pulling through the crimp. Right lines buddy.
