Hey bluegrass, enjoy the videos. I had an old timer show me a trick once with judging whether firewood is dry or not. If you lick your finger tip and stick it to the wood and it isn’t cold to the touch then you know it’s dry and all the moisture is out of it. If it feels cold when you do it, then you know it’s still got moisture in it. I didn’t believe it at first but after years of burning firewood it does work good on knowing if wood is dry or not. I’ve had it where snow and ice were on the wood even and you could still feel that it’s wasn’t cold when I tested it. Just a tip I learned that I thought I would share as well. Hope it helps, God bless you and your family! Keep the videos coming!
Helpful tip. When my neighbor uses his he pulls out enough to hang over between bed and cab in case your winding and nothing comes out. There’s always a little extra tarp just in case. Good to see you’ve upgraded.
Awesome when I was a young teenager I chopped wood and logs with World famous Pro wood choppers nothing like an axe and a piece of wood and a two man cross cut saw.My home town holds Worlds wood chopping festival every year Memorial day weekend. Chopping is stress relief for me.
You’re more than welcome brother. You’re helping me just as much by taking care of those people. There will probably be more referrals as you know I’m out of wood and I trust you to do the job right. Oh also the Fiskars is great. The blade being flatter is a bit different to use but once you get the hang of swinging it. It does a great job.
Have you ever thought about an inexpensive or used wood splitter? With all the demand you certainly need one...not one of those fancy ones, but one you can afford..
@@jamessanders4310 I had a 27 ton and sold it within a week. It was much slower, less efficient and far less enjoyable. I can split a full cord within an hour and a half if I push. But I do plan to try to stack the wood for next winter 👍
James is one of my favorite books in the Bible, he was all about showing your faith by your works. We are really getting our cold weather now below zero. Be careful on the roads on wondered when you were going to get the unloader

When Tacoma or Seattle get snow and ice, it gets bad. We have places there are sheets of ice for at least a week.
Drive safely Dillon 😉👍

Idk why I enjoy watching people split wood lol, therapeutic
@@emeuanmckinnon05 Same for me 🙏
get a scrap of indoor/outdoor carpet to put on top of that unloader, it'll keep it from tearing.
Do you hunt or fish ?
I have very little.
