Lol I shuffle the gentler way and was curious about other shuffles. I had my Legends deck in my hand and tried riffing them in the old poker method and as soon as started shuffling the gentle way, which I do regularly through out the day, the Devil card popped and I sensed my deck saying Wtf was that??? I remember when I first got the deck I interviewed it and it did not like the poker method at all. Sooo I apologized profusely. lol

I would never ever bend my tarot cards like that..That's just my preference, I feel like I'd hurt them. I am usually just spreading them and mixing them,.
I do it in some sideways motion and usually I shuffle until the cards fall out naturally. I am never satisfied with shuffling and then picking the top.

Although I am not where i want to be with my ability to read but I can still say i got better at reading then i did last year. I have made many predictions of love relationships for my siblings with taro and can know whats going on with them but it does take me a quite a bit of time. I don’t think i’m at the best ability of mine to do a reading for others. I am sure that of you stay consistent on my journey on like me, you will get much better by the end of this year. Deuxor Cl The Rider deck was the first deck I was gifted and had, I now own 2 tarot decks & 1 Orcle deck, but the Rider deck will always be the deck I like to use mainly because the deck just feels so natural ♡
I love my rider and waites. They're so comfortable to me. I don't even own another deck lol I was shopping around but I was gifted this deck & I "heard" it was bad luck to shop for your own lol I'm like sketchy to go get my own but I'm sure I will! Until then though haha there's nothing wrong with the classics!

For me this was the best video to watch, to give you ideas on how to shuffle/mix up your Tarot card's. She shows it best. I did try and watch a couple other videos, but there was to much talking and not enough showing how to actually shuffle.
😮 I was practicing the 3 stack method as you were going through the fan method. EXACTLY at 5:51 when you said "...III of Cups", I drew the III of Cups. Not joking.
I really needed this because I’m so bad at shuffling cards. It’s always been a bit of a standing joke in our family as we used to play card games a lot 😂
When mixing the cards I personally think it's important to mix them so that you can have reversals. They are an integral part of doing a reading as a reversed card means something different. Without allowing for reversed cards you can't get a very accurate reading. I see so many videos where people just use cards upright. I would personally find that pointless.
I dont purposely set reversals up. I find my cards end up with reversals anyway and once they actually come out as a reversal I put it back in right way up so.its not perpetually a reversal if u get me :)
@@kali4027 I totally get that, that's pretty much how I did it for years. I used to keep my deck with all the cards stacked the right way up. Nowadays I deliberately try to mix them so that they can come out either way and I leave my cards either way. It's what feels right for you because there is no right or wrong way.

I like to knock on a deck after shuffling then cut once instead of diving into threes, but sometimes when a feeling to tell me to do that I will but always after a knock.

there is no wrong of shuffeling. i just shuffle and when i pick the cards i just lay them out on the table and pick those who i feel drawn to. for me thats the best way! and works everytime. or cutting the deck into 3 piles.
I just overhand shuffle - being carefull not to bash the edges. Having said that, I've seen one amazing Tarot reader giving his decks awfull shuffling abuse, but he's a well seasoned reader of over 40 years. I still prefer to go easy with them though.
I have found that, with casino style, if you do it with the cards aligned and then do that thing where you bend the deck and the cards fall closer into place, the cards tend to bend a lot less (sorry, it's so hard to explain without a picture :/) since it bends the cards the other way right after you bend them one way. From my own experience at any rate (Edit: it also turns half your cards upside down from the position they were in, which is neat imo. Not sure about the long-term damage to the cards, but I did notice that without this method, they were constantly bent one way, and with it they weren't, at least for the month I've had it)
In your opinion, do you think the person I’m reading should chose his cards by touching them but letting me pick them up, or should I be doing the choosing. Why I’ve been doing is fanning them out into a circle on a round placemat. I have the person touch a card , I pick it up and am mindful of reversing a card accidentally. Or is it accidental? Am I handling them properly from the shuffle to the layout?! As many times as I read you’d think I’d not worry, my reading have been spot on. Maybe now as I’m typing this, I’m realizing I’m creating a mental block , by worrying about how I’m effecting the reading. I’ve read someone I’m very very close to, and I think I have been a little afraid I was too close to her to be objective. Then I read her and didn’t hear what I wanted to hear , but had to tell her what was there. And it was all so on the mark that we almost cried. Lol. You don't have to. That is "your" method to use the left hand, cut, etc. It is NOT necessary. Some of you have this super structured rules, spiritual work does not have these itty bitty stickler methods/rules. Often one can truly learn/do through intuition and spirit.

I'm trying to work this out, you say you don't care about those specific cards and then begin to discuss shuffle methods, why am I interested if I care about my cards? And I'm getting sleeves anyway for mine, but why hadn't you done the same? any deck, no matter the format should always be sleeved.
What happens if I something pops out while I’m shuffling and it’s more than one card? Should I just consider the one on top that was the first shown to me or should I consider them all?
I personally consider all cards if they are 3 or less. If they are more I put them back in the pile and keep shuffling but that is your own preference and gut feeling and how you choose to do that specific reading :)

I have the deviant moon and the ostara decks and the sides of the ostara are foiled so i had to find a gentler way to shuffle thank you

Cut the deck in half and turn one half upside down, shuffle it a little bit, then spread them out.
