Sorry, I know this is long overdue!! The lineart for this was done since end of February but March was an insanely busy month for me 😭and I spent a few weeks hosting some very good friends who I hadn't seen in a while! (so I didn't have a whole lot of time to finish it until now haha....) Anyways I'm back to working on vids again!! Videos planned for this month include: -Journal with me vid -Official Guide to Anime Cafes (FINALLY) LET'S GOOOO!!!

Yeah, I tend to not take any medicine (except if I got a high fever or a really bad headache ofc) I just take care of myself; sleep, home remedies, eat well, drink lots, airing out the room, if I can manage I get some fresh air. If one takes care of themselves by sleeping and eating well and getting some exercise then they also don't get sick as easily. Naturally there are things that make it rougher, like the job one has or being immunocompromised. (just to clarify: I'm not blaming Emily, that isn't my intention at all)

I've had Laringitis like 3 times in the last 5 months because my baby nephew keeps getting sick and him being sick for like 2 days for like a cold, meanwhile for me it goes up to Laringitis and I go sick for like 2 weeks getting shots and stomach acid pain from taking so many pills for it- Daidus gets sick like a small child fr
Know that feeling! Living with folks who are on the older side who dont believe in folks having immune issues, its a nightmare to be sick for weeks at a time but they can laugh off the same thing in less then a few days. 😅
I think the reason why people like to hear & watch content of you sick is it makes our brain go "blanket, water, soup, and now go rest for a day" and we know you're okay because you released the video

honestly this is super relatable right now because i also have been sick with a cold for the last few days and my college’s nurse, bless her heart, can’t do much for me besides chuck some vitamin c packets at me and tell me to rest, take long hot showers, and stay hydrated 🥲 (also i struggle with allergies all year around, but especially in spring, so that’s adding to the stuffy head and pain)
There's a few things I miss about school, one of which is how hype being sick was. It's a day of just being able to chill out playing games and sleeping whereas nowadays being sick just gets me behind on lectures and money (nothing like a few semesters of college to violate my bank account). Luckily my body seems to know this because ever since I graduated from high school I don't think I've gotten seriously sick once.
A glass of warm water, Honey, Lemon Juice, and a bit of ginger is a good home remedy for coughs, colds, and anything related to sore throats. My mum use to make it a bunch when I was a kid, not so much now cause shes fully converted to the ease and convienance of medicines but still, good stuff
Yes. I'd either recommend that, or making yourself a Hot Toddy: Chamomile tea, lemon, honey, and a shot of whiskey. Will definitely kill whatever's in your throat and knock you out. Just try not to drink more than one a day!
Just crew a whole clove of garlic. Take a swing of water and chew it with both in your mouth, then swallow both. The water will mask the garlic taste and the garlic has natural disinflamitory properties and helps fight away bacteria.

When I lived in Europe once and while it was ice cold in the winter time I was sick probably 6-8 times during one month period with those bouts of colds lasting 3 days each. A year after that during the winter I got sick twice, and it was due to me not riding the buses so much during the winter time and avoiding crowded areas that have heat since that is generally how someone could get sick when it is cold outside. Plus every region on the planet has their own variations and strains of the cold. Get better soon, this was still a fun video

I want to apologize for how much I laughed during this. also the taking forever to get better due to a bad sleep schedule is so relatable, I work 5-6 days a week bouncing back and forth between evening and overnight shift. (3 evening shifts every week and 2-3 overnight shifts every weekend) hope you feel better.
Always remember people, if you feel sick, immediately get some rest, don't push yourself on what you do, your body goes first than anything on your mind, let your friends or family take the rest of your hands.
This unfortunately doesn’t apply when I got physically sick from not having transgender hrt 😭 I had to discretely go out to make money behind my parents back (As a 15 year old, went out window washing) since not having HRT is a literal detriment to you, especially when your brain can function normal otherwise. Pushing myself to get money to at least get CLOSER to getting diyhrt so I can relieve my trans-dysphoria internally (i cared less about how my body looked, more about the incongruence in emotion in my brain), helped get rid of the sickness. I went out to work while being ill from dysphoria. I hate Texas banning hrt for trans minors. If anyone sees this comment, please give me a hug ahaha 🩷
Warm drinks with ginger, honey or lemon work wonders for me when my throat is acting up, and the usual stuff like chicken noodle soup or porridge is easy on the throat as well. Throat lozenges are pretty obvious too, but I don't have much experience with them. Either way, hope your nose clears up soon and feel better :D
as a european who's never in my life had nyquill this is hillarious but also oof not being able to sleep while sick is always the absolute worst part, if i could sleep it would be so much more bearable, I caught covid for the very first time around christmas last year and I was a wreck for weeks and weeks
Benadryl (Diphenhydramine) is a wonderful alternate for sleep. The original, "You can't be coughing if you're unconscious." ZzzQuil is quite literally Liquid Benadryl

I know a recipe for a tea that helps a lot. Get a chamomile tea or something lighter like it, then add lime juice and fresh grouded ginger and sweeten it with honey. My wife used to get a sore throat so bad that she wouldn't be able to eat for over a week and when she found out this recipe, it always helped for a fast recovery

I think what makes the sick videos so enjoyable is that it not only takes a break from the usual high energy of most youtube videos, but it also humanizes the youtuber in a really personal way. Like, wow we all get sick, and it kind of sucks, and sometimes you get a funny voice for a bit. Really a "the queen also poops" moment (may she rest in peace).
Oh, I don't know what other nefarious things may be in nyquil, but if I remember correctly the active ingredients are Tylenol and melatonin. So you should be able to replicate the results almost anywhere by buying the two separately and taking them at the same time. I highly recommend making tea with fresh ginger, lemon, honey, and whole unground black pepper corns. I (a Canadian) also add maple syrup. I'll boil it all in a big pot, and chill the extra tea in the fridge so I can just warm up a cupful every couple hours until I feel better. 10/10 would recommend. It's the one "home remedy" that I have found to actually work.

I think what makes the sick videos so enjoyable is that it not only takes a break from the usual high energy of most youtube videos, but it also humanizes the youtuber in a really personal way. Like, wow we all get sick, and it kind of sucks, and sometimes you get a funny voice for a bit. Really a "the queen also poops" moment (may she rest in peace).

Oh, I don't know what other nefarious things may be in nyquil, but if I remember correctly the active ingredients are Tylenol and melatonin. So you should be able to replicate the results almost anywhere by buying the two separately and taking them at the same time.
I highly recommend making tea with fresh ginger, lemon, honey, and whole unground black pepper corns. I (a Canadian) also add maple syrup.
I'll boil it all in a big pot, and chill the extra tea in the fridge so I can just warm up a cupful every couple hours until I feel better. 10/10 would recommend. It's the one "home remedy" that I have found to actually work.
