This was so helpful, thank you! I used vaseline on my container before pouring, and was able to pop out the plaster piece, invert it, and place it on the lid and just use the container upside down, which made it even easier to use!
I'm glad my video was able to help! Your adjustments sound like a really interesting and inventive take on the function. Love hearing how you made it work just right for you :)
Eres muy didáctica, explicas muy bien y muy metódica. Espero q tal vez des clases en las escuelas de arte pues te desempeñas muy bien. Éxitos en tu día a día. Saludos cordiales desde Ecuador 🇪🇨
I've found I have longer lasting, and more even moisture content with the plaster in the plastic as compared to without. I live in a very hot climate, so maybe that's a part of it. But I love that you have found something that works for you.
@@BlueNoseTrading i live in western australia so can relate to to having to deal with extreme heat and very low humidities. the box im talking about is different to the one your using. it needs to be water tight and to particular rating. i only know what that is in my country sorry. but the boxes are noticeably different in that they have a rubber gasket that prevents water particles from escaping. they are not perfect but if they are the right ones they should always result in less water loss. if you cant get the boxes though a plaster bat definitely helps A LOT!!
The one the size I made is likely around 40 pounds. I haven't ever officially weighed it out though. I keep it on a bottom shelf and haven't had to move it since I sat it there. Though, you could make any size that suits your needs if you find a good container.

muchas gracias, eres muy amable!
Do you spray the plaster down from time to time?
Yes, I like to use a diluted bleach water to spray it down with when it needs a bit more moisture to keep it from getting moldy.
you can also just use water tight containers. evaporation will be next to 0 and you dont need a plaster bat

How much does the box weigh?
