INGREDIENTS I USED:
Baked at 325 degrees for 1 hour 15 mins. (Time may vary depending on your cake pan and/or oven.)
3 Cups AP Flour
3 Cups Sugar
6 Large Eggs (Room Temperature)
2 Sticks UNsalted Butter (Room Temperature)
1 C Milk (Room Temperature)
1/2 C Crisco
1/2 Tsp Salt
1/2 Tsp Baking Powder
1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract

I made your mommas pound cake today. It is so light and moist. I never considered adding the extracts in with the butter. I even use greasing and flooring my pan. I give honor to you and your mother. God bless you sweetie.

Hey Donna! Guess we're buddy's with mommas cause today is also my late momma's birthday. She would be 87 years old today. Gonna really be watching you here cause my momma didn't like to cook period, baking or otherwise. So, as the oldest child of 14 I had to learn very early. Thank God for my grandma in Louisiana and the village where I grew up. So, now at my age of 70+ I'm always looking for new and/or better ways. My momma was a good cook but, absolutely disliked it. She was a good mom except when it came down to that. When I moved out, she would come to my home each day for meals.
Keep up your great teachings to help the many that are now learning or just trying a new or better way. I do with anyone that expresses the desire. I also direct them to you for the "goodness" factor.👍
