- Found a nice spot for this beauty. With a NorthEast wind, the water was just right. Silly me though, I left my net at home and that 20lb line did not work lol (rookie mistake)

Had a tarpon on the line last year in Kenner right by the lakefront that lake is loaded with monster fish !! Nice catch !!
Appreciate it. What bait was used to catch tarpon? Never reeled in one of those before.
@@HookemFishing504 I was fishing with artificial matrix shad ! Right by the pumping station in Kenner to the right of the boat launch . The pumping station closest to the city. I was in my boat, but you can catch them off of the land right there by the levee. I have caught redfish, trout, sheep, head drum, Gaspagoo etc I did not get it in the boat but when I mean that bitch jumped out the water about 7 feet in the air , 10 feet from and came off the line . I was shocked I always Hurd of people catching them in the lake and i finally seen one , it was cool
