- A Louisiana sheriff says a 1-year-old “miracle baby” survived two days of sometimes stormy weather before a truck driver spotted him crawling along a roadside the day after his 4-year-old brother was found dead and his mother was arrested in Mississippi.

New born babies are the most adoptable and if these pos women really cared about their offspring they would give them up on day one so they have the best chance. I gave my son up for adoption...I found parents for him before I gave birth...they were waiting to hold him immediately after he came out of me. He has a great life and a great family. You're just being rude for the sake of being rude AND have YOU adopted a child? If not, then I suggest you stfu.

Thank God the 1 year old survived, but my heart still breaks for the four year old that didn't make it. May he RIP. Why would any parent desert their child/ren in the middle of nowhere? If you don't want your kids, take them to a local hospital, police department, or fire station. Give them a chance to survive, at the very least. I hope they charge the mother of these children with 1st degree murder over the death of her older child if she intentionally deserted them. Since the mother has been arrested, I assume this was the case.
At this point they are only charging her with failure to report a missing child. I would imagine they will have to autopsy the 4 year old for cause of death to come up with more charges.

Absolutely horrific. That child could’ve starved to death and even devoured by an animal or hit by a car There is just no excuse at all for abandoning a baby! I never had children I’d imagine that two days without water or food is very extreme for an infant. Thank goodness, the rain cooled the hot sun weather The baby may have gotten water, little , from the rain. We all have an eight survival skills., even infants. That’s why that baby was crawling. The baby was looking for help.

As a mother of two (4 and 1 as well), it has always been my fear that if ever something happens to me and their dad is far away, what will happen to my kids?
I’m starting to teach my eldest how to make emergency call to their dad, just in case. Since we don’t have 911 in our country.

I have no words to express how heartbreaking this story is. What a Blessing the baby survived and a trucker was observant enough to see the baby crawling. We will never know how that baby survived alone for 2 days without water or food. I say he is one of Gods Miracles and his Guardian Angel stood guard.

When a society normalizes talking down on kids and equating them to annoying burdens or cracks jokes about pets being better, it's bound to become more common. Society now is less about helping kids and more about other causes. It's sad, although she had the option of giving those kids up she chose to end them by abandoning them. Another question is where is the father?
I try not to get angry, but this makes me seriously angry.
While driving and sitting at a red light during rush hour traffic I observed a two yr old toddler standing on the curb waiting to tumble into the street with no adults present, I was shocked and turned my car around, parked and grabbed that baby and walked into a nearby business and called police.
I held that baby for three hours before police arrived and when we walked the surrounding neighborhood, NOBODY was out searching for them. We found the home and told the officer I wasn't going to let that baby go back to them unless some form of legal action was taken. Luckily the officer felt the same way. The baby hadn't even been noticed being missing! 3 whole hours! The care takers didn't feel it was a big deal.

While driving through a middle class neighborhood one summer, I saw a toddler standing in the middle of a side road, swinging her arms. She was so pleased with herself, no one was in sight! I jumped out & held my hand out to her, she willingly came to me. I knocked on the closest house door, & they were totally shocked. 🙄Not too long after that, I was relieved to see that they had put a sturdy fence around the yard.😌

Aw!!! That little baby boy crawled for two while days and was almost to the highway so he'd be noticed by cars passing by!!! Either his natural survival instincts kicked in OR his very own guardian angel showed him the way ,of which if either of them scenarios didn't take place I believe you can only go 3 days without water ,,not talking about being outside in the elements and in a dirty diaper most probably!!! What a superhuman baby he is to last and tough it out,,,all the while probably looking for it's Mom,,the person who I believe already had killed the baby's brother and left him ,,the baby for dead by dehydration,animals killing him or just exposure's to the elements,and or heat exhaustion!!! Miracle's DO indeed happen even in this evil day and age!!! We all need to believe that miracles STILL happen so we don't get anymore discouraged in this life and in our world!!!
