Hi Jerry,thank you for the video,my MG4 Excite (standard) just had its 1st service.Before it went in i had the same layout as yours where the Ac Controls are on the right side of the display.Got the car back with AC Controls now missing and replaced with Navigation.How do i change this back.I was under the assumption that the standard MG4 does not have a GPS anyway.
Does Navigation work though? They might have updated your screen with Essence software. You cannot change it back on your own. You need to talk to the dealership

Fantastic video series Jerry, as a new MG4 Essence owner I have found these very useful for all feature on the car! Keep up the good work...! I do have one issue I am hoping you can help with, under the Vehicle menu > Settings > System > Upgrade > Detect New Versions > the error warning states "Your car not registered, please contact after sales for more information". Hoping you will have come across this issue before and can point me in the right direction.
Hi Jerry. Thanks for your videos, shame MG doesn’t do their own. In the manual on page 59 it says you can adjust the steering mode, “light , normal, heavy” via the infotainment system, but I can’t find it in this video. Can you please tell me where it’s covered in your tutorials? Mal in Sydney
Hi Jerry, i would like to be able to turn off the auto speed lock function for my mg4 excite from the manu like the mg4 essence. Any chance of a software update to add this feature to the excite as well?
Hi, thanks for the great videos, very helpful. One thing what you forgot to mention, the system has no memory. I mean everything, goes back to default after cycling the power. Including driving mode, regeneration settings, even the charge settings. As a fresh MG4 owner, I found this very annoying. Is there any way to keep the changes permanent? Not talking about those things, which is part of the safety requirements, only the comfort stuff. At this point, I'm glad I did not pay for the Essence, with even more useless features.
Thanks for the comment. It does memorize your settings for time, air con, radio, display etc. The drive mode and regen brake doesn't memorize because MG choses not to. Honestly, some brands do and some don't. MG is on the "don't" team.
MG owners hope that MG receive enough feedback to change this stance and fix it with a software update on their vehicles. It's the one frustration of all MG owners having to change the drive mode settings every time they get behind the wheel and start the car! A simple driver profile with the preferences selected and saved, would fix the issue! I am encouraging all MG owners to provide this feedback to MG via their website, lets hope they listen to customers!@@JerryPanandCars

I guess its time to make it clear, using those functions becoming less relevant in everyday life, its a pain to set up even just a couple of things every time when jump in the car... Still great videos, thanks for your effort to making them.

Yes, it is in the settings menu if you use the timestamps in the video

No I can’t find that mode either. I suspect the steering mode goes with the drive mode from eco, normal to sports.
