I might be late, but to be honest pulling on limited banners is actually the best way to get characters. For beginners/free players, yes it is not wise to spend visiores unless you have enough of it (especially Thancred). If you have saved a lot of visiores then it is possible to pull limited banners and even max them out. Also some benefits in pulling limited banners is that there are chances you can get other non-limited UR characters or even other UR vision cards. I pulled for Orlandeau and manage to get him as well as several UR characters and UR vision cards like Engelbert, Xiza, and Yerma. It might take forever to build them but at least I can farm there shards per day. EDIT: I recommend for free players in awakening the scion of house beoulve vision card for tactics banner at least 2 stars in my opinion, very good for pvp and even for pve. You can get more of its shards for the 2nd tactics banner if you want to further awaken it.

I’m not really advise to keep your rank down, for example, rank 12 you only can keep your energy capped at 45. Which means every 2.25 hours your energy is full and you will miss the opportunity of regenerate if you never login every 2 hrs to clear the energy. I’m now at rank 48 and now that’s give me around 75 energy pool (a full regenerate is 3.75 hrs). Imagine if a player rank 12 keep losing 1 hr worth of energy vs a rank 48 players, in long run, you’re slowing yourself down the road.
That's not what I mean of course 😂 Do you know there are players who kept collecting EXP and sitting at so much stamina because they kept leveling? I'm not sure which part of the video confused you but yeah, it's actually saying not to keep leveling and stack unused stamina. Hope this clears up for you haha.

Np, thanks for watching! That's really fast progression (ok actually I'm really slow lol). For Mediena Black Mage all the way! There's a Ninja passive skill you wanna pick them next time that gives her Move and Jump +1 which is really good for her. Unfortunately her shards can only be farmed via Hard Quest in World Quest daily and also from gacha for now. It's definitely gonna take awhile but this is a long-term game too so take your time!

I mean you can lol. But I wouldn't. For me I pulled Mediena, Sterne and Oelde. So ideally I would prefer Engel and Ayaka as well but eh, I don't feel like trying for that combo just because you know how hard or rather it's just gonna kill you trying for that. I'm just using what I got - Mont as tank and Cadia as heals even though we don't really need healers right now until later on.

@@anemon2232 Personally, I would prioritize Mediena and then Engel first. I wouldn't work on Yshtola at all since I've already have Mediena which is the better mage here. Ayaka you can work on her last. Ifrit is definitely going to help but problem is Vow of Love might be a better pick since they both provide Atk Up Party Ability but Vow of Love gives taunt/aggro. Party Abilities don't stack btw, just in case anybody else sees this. According to the JP wiki, Ifrit as an Esper would be good to pair with a Spear user as his board has some Pierce and atk up in it.

Gilgamesh is good but he's a little hard to work with as for some reason the rates for him is half and also to get his fragments is 2x harder than other UR so it's your decision. Haha oh, this is a tough one. Engelbert is the best tank, so you can choose him over Mont. While Mont is easier to train him in the beginning since you can buy his shards cheap and easily at the shop (50k gil). Ayaka is the best healer but imo should be given priority after your dps>tank. Ziza/Xiza is a great unit but her AI can be funky sometimes and makes her a not so great auto unit. I had her in JP and she's a beast when I used her manually but can be random in PvP. Y'shtola feels a little underwhelming for me, so her only saving grace is her shards can be farmed in the current event. You can do more homework on your own before investing because these resources are hard to come by. Personally I would work on Xiza/Ziza > Mont/Engelbert (Choose one), Ayaka. You can work on Y'shtola immediately too if you want since you can use her to farm 1-1-3-3 (False Accusation) and actually another stage 1-2-2-1 (A Fighting Retreat I) very fast. Not as fast as Mediena but still fast.

Right now I'm trying to balance them but in the future I believe it's better to have single weapon type teams like example Slash Team or Pierce team as they can chain well, then also elemental teams will be required but for now just use whoever you have (Especially the good URs)

It's not a must as you can farm those in events (dungeon) as well so they just cost energy but if you create in multiplayer it cost half or free if you join people's game. So technically you can grind for those materials indefinitely.
Should we definitely buy the Rainbow Fragment of Thought and Rainbow Vision Sphere when starting out now? It seems like we got over 2m+ gold when starting out. Do we just buy those two things no matter what?
I wouldn't say definitely because you might wanna spend it on some other things now but those rainbow stuff will bottleneck your progression later on as it doesn't come as often as we level our characters and if I remember correctly, they sell it as gems/paid gems in some shop banners.
So far I have Level 35 Mont, Lvl 38 Sterne, Lvl 37 Oelde, Lvl 30 Machere, and Level 30 Mediana. Is this a good team setup by chance? Also thanks for the tips!

Hey there, what/who are you waiting for? Haha no worries, I'll try to answer them. They are both really really good cards so definitely worth investing in. Vow of Love stick it on your tank to generate some aggro and Trousseau is good for Magic Up - Party Ability. Espers are kind of limited tbh, but generally the UR summons are obviously better than their lower tier counterpart. Also there are very few overlaps so try not to waste your leveling materials on the 'worse' espers if you know there are better ones you have yet to pull. I think it's fine to invest about 12 levels so that you can unlock like 20points for them you can get some stats gain. The first few levels are pretty cheap so I personally think is fine even if you don't use them anymore.

Mediena is my priority now. I'm f2p too haha so I try not to make mistakes this time. Those rainbow rocks and shards gonna bottleneck everything so don't waste them (I did in JP lol). If you have Mediena I don't think you should work on Y'shtola (though I think it's fine to collect her shards enough to Max Limit Break her, in case you wanna use her in the future). Mont is perfectly fine to work on too since his shards are readily available, though you do have Engelbert which is the same role as Mont but better. Only concern is Limit Breaking Engelbert which might take sometime if you compare to Mont, so you should choose only one now. I'm also using Oelde now in PvP and he's really tanky and does decent damage for a DPS. Xiza/Ziza is a mixed bag for me when I used her in JP, she's the fastest unit I had and great for manual combat but not so great for auto and this is a auto game mostly. But I would also advice you to do some homework/research and see what works best for you. Hope this helps!

It's quite different from FFBE in terms of resource management if I still remember my times in FFBE haha. I feel like the 'problem' with this game is the power gap between UR and SSR/MR is noticeable, I have the same concern as you. Thankfully for Mont his main role is tank and even as a SSR/MR, he feels a little closer to a UR than the other SSRs. I'm using Mediena, Sterne, Oelde, Mont and Cadia now. Ah friend list is kinda full now but you can add me since I constantly remove inactive so I could accept active players.
That's a tough one, you have quite a number of good URs. I would keep this and maybe work with what you have right now because Golem and Ifrit card along with Vow are cards I wanna have as well. Personally I would have this account over an account with only Mediena but you can decide which feels better for you.
Hi Tanna so recently i got mediena (lvl 40 no limit break and 31 shard) and gilgamesh (lvl 48, 2 limit break buy the shard from event) both are ice unit, which one should I invest ? And now should i save visiore for next anticipated unit or spent it for unit shard (especially for mediena and gilgamesh) ?
Since you have already invested in them, I guess you gotta settle with it. I would pick Mediena over Gilgamesh as she's easier to build over Gilgamesh. As mentioned in the video Gilgamesh will take basically 2x the time/resources to build. Generally shards are worth buying especially for time-limited units but even if they're not, general consensus is they are worth spending the Visiores on. Personally I don't buy shards for non-limited characters as you can farm them very slowly via Hard Quests and also from dupes.

17:02 u don’t have to be strong to actually do it. You can play smart. The enemies don’t move if you didn’t make any move so you can hit your allies to farm AP then heal them. Repeat until you can get their Ults so you can easily kill all the enemies. I literally done it when i am only lvl 10 but the required lvl is 60. and it wasn’t hard at all
Oh I mean auto, but now I can do it already haha thanks for the tip! Now I'm having problem with EX (Auto) so I gotta manual and find time to grind for those awakening materials. Personally I have to juggle hard with the time I have to grind 2 games and make videos for 2 games haha.

It's not bad, just not ideal if you wasted energy I guess but that's not the worst wastage. I would choose Sterne over Xiza/Ziza as Sterne auto battle is better than Xiza. She's a really good unit but most of the time we're playing on auto so..
If you have ways to increase her faith (via Fina) then it's fine! But I don't have her and lazy to use a friend Fina now so I'm leaving her out of the barracks for now lol.
If you think this game requires crazy amount of resources to advance, try Rise of Kingdoms. I just stopped playing that game because unless you're a whale, you become irrelevant and weak fast while everyone else is advancing. The resources and rewards in RoK are soooo horrendous
I played that once when I was having my holidays in the US. Worst decision to play that game as the few days we were just playing that and had to quit because I'm tired of whales bullying my little guild 😂 that was the worst mobile game I've played.
@@TannaTime Yeah, I have 40m of each rss to advance to city hall lvl 24 and overnight, an alliance attacked me over 20 times and zeroed me. Everything I did gone overnight.
Honestly not worth it unless you going all-in on him and even so, he's good but falls off later in the game. I used him for quite a bit in JP but didn't go all-in on him and kind of regretted raising him because he shares the same awakening materials (light) as Ramza that hinders my progression on Ramza. This time I will probably just keep him as collection if I happen to pull him in the ticket summon.
Yeah you gotta grind a lot for her (not that I recommend doing it though, haha). She's not bad but not great if you get what I mean, but if that's all you have then I guess you can make do with it. Problem with investing in this game is resources are so precious and you do not wanna waste them as getting them, especially the higher tier materials are hard to come by (rainbow rocks/orbs) and elemental awakening materials.
Im gonna answer this too if u dont mind. If u lack of magician like me, ysthola can be your option. She's excel at magic(atk,heal,buff,debuff). Beside u can mlb her very easily thanks to the event and her tmr is very very good. If u are f2p and dont have good mage, raising her will help a lot
You are the only Wotv youtuber I subbed to, but this video is way too fast to learn. I have played the game for 3 days and know where all these menus are, but even I get lost in how quickkly you go into and out of menus. A total beginner will not be able to follow you mentally.
Haha sorry about that, there's a lot factors to consider when making these videos. If it's still confusing, try rewatching again maybe 1 week later I'm sure you'll understand it :)
I believe for balancing purposes and of course for whales to feel like it's worth their money. That's just how gacha games are these days, doubtful it will be better in the future.
Yeah Oelde is fine, I use him too. Very tanky DPS especially in PvP. Ayaka is the best healer in the game and Mont is definitely a good tank to start the game off with. Rairyuu is a pretty decent unit as well.

As mentioned in the video you should only invest in Limited Banner only if are sure you can get all their shards, otherwise you'll be stuck with a non-max character. Hope that helps. Engelbert is the best tank btw!

hey tanna... i just want to ask, what units are your currently developing? i read article out there that suggest f2p player (me) to invest in 3 char and max them (limit burst & awakening) that makes sense i think i'll go with mont,yoshitola,&(mediena/oelde/ziza/engelbert) i confuse to choose... Mediena is my priority now. I'm f2p too haha so I try not to make mistakes this time.
Those rainbow rocks and shards gonna bottleneck everything so don't waste them (I did in JP lol).
If you have Mediena I don't think you should work on Y'shtola (though I think it's fine to collect her shards enough to Max Limit Break her, in case you wanna use her in the future).
Mont is perfectly fine to work on too since his shards are readily available, though you do have Engelbert which is the same role as Mont but better.
Only concern is Limit Breaking Engelbert which might take sometime if you compare to Mont, so you should choose only one now.
I'm also using Oelde now in PvP and he's really tanky and does decent damage for a DPS. Xiza/Ziza is a mixed bag for me when I used her in JP, she's the fastest unit I had and great for manual combat but not so great for auto and this is a auto game mostly.
But I would also advice you to do some homework/research and see what works best for you. Hope this helps!
@@TannaTime yeah i know that the resource is very important, i've played similar game like this too (FFBE). i know that mediena is better than yoshitola, while engelbert better agains mont and the rest of my party unit are UR too, it really concern me if we have good unit but cannot reach it's maximum unit potential in early game, thats why i thought maybe its better using those unit(mont,yoshitola) this really makes a dilemma...

It's quite different from FFBE in terms of resource management if I still remember my times in FFBE haha.
I feel like the 'problem' with this game is the power gap between UR and SSR/MR is noticeable, I have the same concern as you.
Thankfully for Mont his main role is tank and even as a SSR/MR, he feels a little closer to a UR than the other SSRs.
I'm using Mediena, Sterne, Oelde, Mont and Cadia now.

That's a tough one, you have quite a number of good URs.
I would keep this and maybe work with what you have right now because Golem and Ifrit card along with Vow are cards I wanna have as well.
Personally I would have this account over an account with only Mediena but you can decide which feels better for you.
Hi Tanna so recently i got mediena (lvl 40 no limit break and 31 shard) and gilgamesh (lvl 48, 2 limit break buy the shard from event) both are ice unit, which one should I invest ? And now should i save visiore for next anticipated unit or spent it for unit shard (especially for mediena and gilgamesh) ?
Since you have already invested in them, I guess you gotta settle with it.
I would pick Mediena over Gilgamesh as she's easier to build over Gilgamesh.
As mentioned in the video Gilgamesh will take basically 2x the time/resources to build.
Generally shards are worth buying especially for time-limited units but even if they're not, general consensus is they are worth spending the Visiores on.
Personally I don't buy shards for non-limited characters as you can farm them very slowly via Hard Quests and also from dupes.

17:02 u don’t have to be strong to actually do it. You can play smart. The enemies don’t move if you didn’t make any move so you can hit your allies to farm AP then heal them. Repeat until you can get their Ults so you can easily kill all the enemies. I literally done it when i am only lvl 10 but the required lvl is 60. and it wasn’t hard at all

It's not bad, just not ideal if you wasted energy I guess but that's not the worst wastage. I would choose Sterne over Xiza/Ziza as Sterne auto battle is better than Xiza. She's a really good unit but most of the time we're playing on auto so..

If you have ways to increase her faith (via Fina) then it's fine! But I don't have her and lazy to use a friend Fina now so I'm leaving her out of the barracks for now lol.
If you think this game requires crazy amount of resources to advance, try Rise of Kingdoms.
I just stopped playing that game because unless you're a whale, you become irrelevant and weak fast while everyone else is advancing.
The resources and rewards in RoK are soooo horrendous
I played that once when I was having my holidays in the US. Worst decision to play that game as the few days we were just playing that and had to quit because I'm tired of whales bullying my little guild 😂 that was the worst mobile game I've played.

Hey Tanna, what u think about Thancred Unit? U can got him from FFXIV event...
Honestly not worth it unless you going all-in on him and even so, he's good but falls off later in the game.
I used him for quite a bit in JP but didn't go all-in on him and kind of regretted raising him because he shares the same awakening materials (light) as Ramza that hinders my progression on Ramza. This time I will probably just keep him as collection if I happen to pull him in the ticket summon.

Yeah you gotta grind a lot for her (not that I recommend doing it though, haha). She's not bad but not great if you get what I mean, but if that's all you have then I guess you can make do with it.
Problem with investing in this game is resources are so precious and you do not wanna waste them as getting them, especially the higher tier materials are hard to come by (rainbow rocks/orbs) and elemental awakening materials.
Im gonna answer this too if u dont mind. If u lack of magician like me, ysthola can be your option. She's excel at magic(atk,heal,buff,debuff). Beside u can mlb her very easily thanks to the event and her tmr is very very good. If u are f2p and dont have good mage, raising her will help a lot

You are the only Wotv youtuber I subbed to, but this video is way too fast to learn. I have played the game for 3 days and know where all these menus are, but even I get lost in how quickkly you go into and out of menus. A total beginner will not be able to follow you mentally.

Yeah Oelde is fine, I use him too. Very tanky DPS especially in PvP.
Ayaka is the best healer in the game and Mont is definitely a good tank to start the game off with. Rairyuu is a pretty decent unit as well.
