In this video, we take look at the throw of 16yr old, Luke the Nuke Littler.
My channel is exclusive to darts only content. I create my content as I simply love to play darts and want to help other dart players improve with my own channel.
All my video's are based on how to play darts as well as advise on equipment and general darts setup with the aim to guide any new players in their darting journey as well as provide more experienced or even professional dart players with dart content to help improve.
I throw around an 80 average myself with my left hand due to injury and dartitis in my right arm.
I may, on occasion, use footage from the Professional darts corporation (the P.D.C) as well as The British Darts organisation, WDF and Modus. These are used under fair use legislation, and all credit should be given to the rightful creators. - Спорт
Luke is fantastic to watch, such a talented lad. Great video as always Daniel 👍🏻🎯
Another outstanding performance in video quality. Natural talent as well. Thank you for the quality performance here.
littler is the best thing that could happen to the sport of darts
what a confidence
what skillz
what a brilliant throwing style
what an incredible display of power he is throwing here at this world championship as an unseeded player
what a player!!!
Another superb analysis as always . Thanks Dan keep them coming please
Awesome vid! Sound quality is probably the best around;)
Great analysis Daniel!
Most naturally talented young man since MVG.
adrian lewis?
Bully Boy?
Luke Humphries?
Josh Rock?
The Wayne Rooney of darts
Even people who don't play are asking me about him because I play a lot of darts. I don't remember that happening since someone like Tiger Woods. Very exciting for the sport, I hope he continues his progression and goes where we all hope he will.
Cheers
Not shore if u have already but could u do a joe Cullen?, very good content 🤙
Awesome video. The kid is awesome. Quick question though: How wide is a PDC oche that we see on stage? Thanks!
3 foot is the regulation. :)
Thank you very much!@@Straightdarts
Hi mate, can you do an analysis of Luke Humphries' throw at all please? Keep up the good work!
He is on the to do list, buddy. Thanks for watching :)
Can you do a Dennis Priestley throw pls , his has changed so much from 1991 to present day
I'll put in on the list and see what clips are available without a copy right. :)
yes good points made , he walks on his last dart , not picked up and needs to get rid of that . my top tip is play and hold 4 darts , so the third is thrown like the second , plus a backup if point breaks .
Yeah, loads of fast players move on the last dart, you'd think they would work on it. 🤔 I could never keep consistent whilst walking. 😄 🤣
Nice mate can you do a Chris Dobey throw analysis?👍🏻
Ok, I'll see what clips I can get without a copyright strike. :)
Hi there, thanks for technical analysis. What Target Swiss Points is he using? What length? Thanks a lot.
He was using the SWISS GRD POINT in 35mm. But I looks like he had standerd 40mm pints in, that have been roughed up with a diamond file and a drill.
Thanks buddy ❤
@@Straightdarts 40mm points from the Swiss Point workshop? Do you have a link, please? I would like to configure the exact same darts that Luke uses. Thank you.
@AktivacnyPracovnik I don't think you can buy them that big. None on the target Website.
@Straightdarts iv just put 40mm in my darts from 32mm it makes then now land on an angle I was surprised how much difference it makes
Not sure if you have already, but could you do Gabriel Clemens and maybe John Henderson? Great content mate!
Great suggestion!
@@Straightdarts Hendos my favourite player, think coz of the MVG draw (I’m not even scottish XD) and I like Clemens throw for some reason aha! Anyway, keep up the good stuff mate!
Hi, I'm curious to know if the professionals only train with one pair of darts at a time or, for example, they have 2 pairs in their hand so they don't walk back and forth every time
One set, your first dart is tge hardest and most import dart. When that dart goes wrong is difficult to hit bug and things cab get scrappy. But useing multiple sets, you practice the most important darter the leased. :)
@@Straightdarts I usually miss with the last 3rd dart😄 like 60,20 and then 1 ore 5🤦
@kvajeblostari That's in your head, I made a video on fixing this, give it ago: ua-cam.com/video/xt9u0CtE_LE/v-deo.htmlsi=UA2nihyy2pJpOvQY
@kvajeblostari Me too! The first two darts are usually good trebles such as 20, 18 or 19, then the third darts hit either the 1, 5, 3, or 7 if I'm playing the 19 segment😂
How does he grip the dart? I’ve not seen any pics showing this?
He grips the dart with his first finger and thumb, right on the rear of the barrel (slightly on the shafts) and then uses his ring ringer as a stabiliser, touching the center of ther barrel very lightly. :)
I have same dart turn on my throw. Any ideas how to fix this ?
I have made a video on alignment that worth ago, but I can take a few personal sessions to get it right for some. You Need your elbow and shoulder pointing down the same path you want the dart to fly. (Somwere under the double 3, when throwing at 20s) 😀
Perfect analysis and hints for probable weak points Luke can work on to get more constant results.
Would be interesting to get an analysis of one own throw.
I noticed something in the final of the world championships, and saw it again yesterday in the Premier League: his “bad” darts tend to go left. Not because he’s pulled the dart left, but because the tip is clearly angled to the left when it hits the dartboard.
This is clearly going to cause some inconsistency in the future. Can you see what’s causing this? And why don’t darts players have technical coaches to try to iron these faults out before they become too ingrained??
He’s already a phenomenal player, but if his darts went in straight he would be even better.
Its probably causer by uneven present of the grip. And some do have coaches, to date I have coached 16 players that's have appeared on T.V, most of them tour card holders. It's not common practice to have a coach yet, but it's getting there. :)
Amazing lad. Incredible how good his throw is despite his young age, and how accurate he is despite that slight Mardle memorial turn. If he's not going to win at least four World Championships and become #1 in the Order of Merit in the near future, I'm from Venus.
Luke Piewalker. A player and a half.
Another great video mate. Could you do Rob cross as I think he has one of the most consistent and standard throws in the game? Cheers 👍👍
It's on the todo list :) thanks buddy 👍
Cross seems a lovely fella, but i absolutely hate watching him play, just can't stand when he is on.
@@johngreenhorn8853 I agree,... the moment he releases darts, his hand seems to be under the "voltage"! ...And the design on his jersey don't like as well.
@johngreenhorn8853 He is a brilliant player but I can't stand watching him too unfortunately because he fidgets too much😂
@sarahwelty9223 100% just hate watching the guy,but as I said seems a decent guy and obviously a great player,I just always want him to lose just because the way he plays is annoying as hell.
What gram dart does luke littler use?
23g :)
Btw, what point does he use and how long is it?
After looking at some footage I reckon HD has stopped using Swiss points and is using a set of 50mm MIB points.
How the hell do they manage the get the darts so close to each other, like the tips are touching?
Long points help at that level, but its a case of remembering the path your arm went down on the throw and replicating it. :)
@@Straightdarts aye I get that but the width of the darts and when we’re playing if it touches a dart already in then it knocks it offline no matter how slight the touch is. I will never understand it🤣😂🤣😂
Who doesn't want the throw like littler. Omg what a talent. Brendan dolan needs to be on top of his game from leg one or it's bye bye dolan
Noticed all these insane rythm players all gripping the stem and barely touch the barrel . Seems like the darts stand a lot nicer with this technique
Do you know what gram darts he uses?
23g :)
Which KLEX size is Luke using ?
06 flight and short.
Can you Josh Rock Analyse too ?
Already have :) ua-cam.com/video/oBBlZfDYW9I/v-deo.htmlsi=6fn1-BtaMcWE9uj6
Isn't it peculiar that his thumb and index finger are at home on the shaft and not the barrel?
That bugs me. All the attention, science, and engineering in the world to produce the most sophisticated barrels known to humanity, and he holds his dart by the shaft. WTF?
Few pro players do that like for example smith, humphries
It's because it make the dart play more front heavy. Steve Beaton and Andy Fordham used to do it as well. That what there darts kicked so much like Luke's. It's much easier to get the height and power and when you consider how short luke is, its definitely a big help. :)
