Thank You Tex, I did have some trapped air bubbles OK many trapped air bubbles and I used a really slow setting resin, Kim also had the same problems

I tried something like this using Alumilite a few years ago. Total fail! I stuffed shavings into a PVC pipe and poured in dyed Alumilite. Even in a pressure pot, the resin did not penetrate well and what I got looked like a sponge. Hope yours turns out better. Looking forward to the next video.

i know you don't generally use a vacuum for the resin projects; however, i wonder it might have helped pull the air pockets out of the shavings? just a thought. it turned out very nicely and i went and checked out her video as well. they are both very nice. keep up the good work.

Nice! What if you mix the dyed shavings in separate colors in resin and make some mosaic cubes for a rim on a bowl? Maybe not... Not yet anyway... Cheers from Sweden!

Does the dye migrate into the resin?
I did not notice that it had Valerie, it looks like it as the resin amplifies the colors but once I got it thinned down I could see through it
