Thanks for the video. Last time I bought a spear fishing wet suit was about 15 years ago and it's getting pretty trashed. So this was a good little update on what's on the market today. I look forward to visiting your store sometime, but I live in Chilliwack, so I get into town only rarely. Heard about your store originally from Marco Spearo, so kind of neat to come across your channel.
Thanks for watching! We don't have those wetsuits in the shop, but PNW Samson has done some reviews on those wetsuits, definitely check out his channel.
CAUTION-1 mil wetsuits are very expandable and can act as a sea anchor as my dive buddy learned today. After scuba diving off a boat in the Caribbean, he stripped down to the waist legs only and jumped back in to “pre-rinse” his wetsuit. BUT a mild surface current filled the legs like a balloon due to the pliability of the 1 mil. and started to pull him under as it had very little buoyancy and also pulled him away from the boat. He grabbed the stern bouy line and was pulled in. But, be aware or this potential danger. ⚠️
What are your thoughts on titanium lined wetsuits? I've heard from one person that they're warm and great to put on, and others that they're cold, cause chafing and hard to get off. Thanks
@@paulmarks7185 If the water temperature is 65 F, you can get away with a 3.5mm open cell wetsuit if you have decent cold tolerance. If you get cold easily you may want to go with a 5mm wetsuit. Also depends on how intense the thermocline is where you're diving. Here in Canada we have pretty intense thermocline so I would probably suggest a 5mm wetsuit. Not sure where you're located but probably a good idea to ask some local shops around your area what they recommend or find a local dive group on facebook and ask locals. Generally people will be using the same kind of wetsuit in one area.

Do you ever wear the top only in warmer shallow water?
Really depends on how warm you're diving. What temperature are you thinking?
