Dear,Mr. Duns Hello, I'm a normal korean boy in middle school who loves to play tinwhistle. so first of all I thank you for your amazing and wonderful free lessons you have uploaded. Second of all please keep upload those brillient tinwhistle songs. Regards TripleH(nickname) 'have a nice 2013!! ^.^'
Brilliant tutorial. It has truly inspired me to grapple manfully with learning this particular tune. Seeing the written music might help a bit but it's ok. Your style is perfect and it's a totally delightful tune. Keep up the excellent work! And thanks for sharing.
Jesus Mary and Joseph thank you all the other instructions I found where absolute shite. Notes that don't match and fingers of fury all over the place. Yours is the first video I can follow along with and you explain it well even the parts I didn't get where easy enough to work through.
Love this video. Helping me sooooo much just stuck on the BEE FEE AEE FEE, the whole part. Having trouble deciding wether to tongue or ornament... Good at neither haha. Thanks again for this GREAT VIDEO :D
At The Session there are seven versions of this jig. They are all similar in general, but how much can a tune change before it becomes a different tune?* "Morrison's" is also listed with 11 title variations. Other tunes at The Session may list over a dozen variations and a dozen or more names for what is being presented as a single tune! *variations of some tunes do seem to be so different as to be different tunes.
I was doing so good and then got confused at the end. I have to convert all the letters into numbers and it makes me slower, but then the ending just lost me. I'll get some sheet music and figure it out though. I love your tutorials. I have learned more tunes from you than anyone else.
Can you recommend any tin whistles in particular? I have been using the Clark D and C whistles and i enjoy them much more than others I've used in the past, but your's seem to be on a whole other level.
Hello there, Ryan. I share a great respect for your work and playing like all the others on YT, for sure. One question: Is there any chance for you to make tutorial on ''Night ride to Armagh'', tune wrote by Brian Finnegan? It's a bit more fast and i can't manage to figure it out... Well, that's it. All the best to you, man, thanks.
Can you teaches step By step..The Carraroe jig which its one of The well knonwn jig ..right now I am struggling The find The tunes. There is easy for you to teach :-) so I may ask kindly
I do too , when I try to play a high note it's very screechy but the only thing Really to do is keep practicing then you'll get the rang of it, you know what they say "practice means perfect" , then you'll start to get a more of a nice fluid on the tin whistle

Could you reply the note to me so i could follow the notes please? It will help me more than pausing the video to write every two seconds thank you
If you have trouble with tonguing then play a note and say Ta as u play it.
Could you explain how you did the rolls with the first two notes, please?
Whistletutor another YT whistle tutorial site, explains rolls in more detail.
I seem to be having difficulty with the higher octave, any advice?

what's the model of the tin whistle?
What is the name of this tin whistle?
Do you have a tutorial on applying cuts, strikes, and rolls in tunes? I really need help with understand how to do them and apply them properly
A good written source is Grey Larsen's, "Essential Whistle Toolbox." Mel Bay, publisher.

I am interested in picking up a tin whistle and learning how to play... do you have a good one in mind for a beginner like my self?
I know the Generation whistles are pretty popular, but I like the Clarke whistle. Both brands are under 15 bucks, so you cant really go wrong.
How do you do that at 1:41?
It's a roll, I'm not sure if he has a video of it or not, but there's loads of tutorials on UA-cam for them:)
Cool tune but I got lost my after the first B section. Can you note this out?
Go to The Session.org Endless free sheet music, staff and ABC notation.
what key is the whistle please
Key D
sorry for the bad lingo, did not know you were a priest,,great teacher though,,
thanks first of all, but if you really want to help somebody to learn this why dont you provide the chords then - it is really hard to comprehend without chords at the end of this video
