Just for your information, the leather used in this holster is identical to that used by
    Galco

Excellent! I'm glad that you found my review helpful. Take at look at the NSR Tactical C-1 holster for the shield. NSR has quick ship. nsrtactical.com

+TheGearTester thanks for your reply! Quick question if you have time. Do you recommend a Kydex holster over a leather holster? I have read Kydex will rub the the slide raw but not to worry because this an EDC gun and who cares ect. I have also read the leather holster get ruined faster because of sweat but don't rub the gun raw or your skin. Any preference of suggestion between the two?

Either one will work well. From my experience leather will wear the finish faster in some cases then kydex. Go with a holster from Galco, Blade-tech, NSR Tactical or Desantis. Get on that goes inside the waist band, IWB on your strong side (your dominant hand).

I like the idea of using the nicer Blade Tech belt loops. They look fairly generic, like they may work with other holsters as well. I have a Raw Dog Tactical, which is great inexpensive hybrid holster, but I don't care for the belt clip they come with. Might have to try it out. Thanks for the idea!

Dang near perfect. I've been using the CP for the last three years for my G43. Before I even put it on I bent up a solid 1/8" (.125") kydex belt clip, drilled mounting holes, and tossed the leather loops in the safe. With the DIY plastic clip it holds securely on my 1.5" gun belt and is now easy on and easy off. Super comfortable holster.

Did you find the sweat guard impeded your purchase in the beaver tail area at all. I have an older model cozy partner and it does not have the double thick sweat guard and it works great. I just purchased a new one and the entire sweat guard is made up of the double thick leather, like yours and that trys to restrict my purchase of a good high tang grip. Im considering cutting it down or trimming some of the width.

I appreciate you taking the time to make this review, I thought I would return the favor - you could use a bit of help on your pistol shooting fundamentals. You need to get the web of your hand (between your thumb and pointer finger) as high up on the grip as possible. There shouldn’t be any room between the web of your hand and the beavertail. Improving your grip will help reduce recoil and drastically increase your accuracy. After that you need to work on your trigger press, slow and steady to the rear, don’t jerk it, let off and then repeat. Keep your sights steady and exhale then before inhaling press the trigger. I hope these tips help!

Bought one for my sig p320, and honestly i like the holster, but the inside leather is very rough, like sandpaper frankly. or almost like it has a abrasive like fiberglass embedded into it. this seems very rough on the surface of my firearm. so much so i spent so amount of time rubbing it with a green scotch bright pad and using leather conditioner on it, dp not think i shoulod have to do that after buying it, is should be soft/semi smooth on the inside and not abrasive on the weapon from the factory imo.

We enjoyed very much your videos. Just wanted to share with you the fact that we recently came out with a new series of IWB polymer (mold injected) holsters that gives a good answer to what you pointed out in your video. If you would like to test them we'll be happy to send them over. info@fobus.com

A tension screw denotes lower quality and less attention to detail. A well made, well formed, and well boned holster produced with high quality leather shouldn't need a tension screw. You don't see the higher quality makers such as Milt Sparks, Mitch Rosen, Kramer, Tucker, etc using tension screws.
