20 years ago I worked with a hmong girl in Oklahoma in high school. She would always say to me "mow kow" and start laughing. What was she saying? It sounded like mow, lawn mower, and cow... Mooooo. Mow kow.
I live n ear a really haunted place. Its a swampy set of woods near a dam, and there's legends about it being a battlegorund between the Miamis, Potawatomi and Settlers and US Calvary. During the day its absurdly quiet, not even birds sing or chirp in this area. At night its even worse as the vengeful spirits are not at rest and are hostile. Plus there's been a few murders and a lot of occult activity which perobably angers the ghosts more than anything. There's a murder that took place in the 70s where a camper went out alone to camp there and his body was never found but his campsite was trashed and there was signs of a struggle. Back in the 2010s there was a murder after someone stumbled on a meth lab with the "chemists" at work. In 2017 there was anohter murder and a body found in said woods. There is no amount of money to make me stay the night in those woods. nope, not going to happen. Though down the road near the dam there's a campground that supposedly was a small calvary camp where a native girl was kidnapped and r-p3d to death and at midnight of the anniversary in the women's showers you supposedly can hear a blood curdling girl's scream.
Story 3 is most likely from an alternate dimension’s version of himself watching him, as from what I remember/personally believe not all timelines occur at the same time if that makes sense
4:49 I think I may know why the forest was so spooky, in relation to it being so quiet. If I recall correctly, when a forest goes quiet, it’s because there’s a large predator around, or some ecological disturbance. It makes animals hide and go silent, as if they were heard, they’d likely be killed. That’s probably why humans are so paranoid or fearful when things go quiet; it’s a self defense mechanism from eons of evolution. At least that’s how the theory goes, if I recall correctly. There is a good reason to be nervous in quiet forests. As for the psychic, it wouldn’t surprise me if she had heard about those woods, and had an inkling about it.
I used to live near a big dam in Tennessee. It was simply common knowledge around there that there were catfish bigger than a human living near the dam.
New Orleans cab drivers refuse to pick up fares late at night to avoid ghosts staling rides like the girl in the last story.
Hmong person here. Always nice to hear my people get mentioned.

Bro, your people are MY people! Hmong New Year in my city is always a blast!
Being a multicultural person, others are incredibly fascinating to me. ☺️

My dad told me about that damn people would use piano wires to catch those catfish😮

River Monsters did an episode of the Catfish in story 1. Truly huge fish.
Really interesting stories only thing i wanted to mention is the hmong is pronounced just mong the h is silent
You either don’t believe in ghosts or you believe you saw one. Those things are mutually exclusive.
Having seen the movie Gran Torino, I know that you don’t pronounce the h in Hmong. It really bothered me. Lol

My personal theory is that he became so fixated on it that the energy and unease carried over through time. But that's all I got.
@@psuedomyspace true, kinda like a messed up thought form
American here. It’s spelled Hmong, but it’s more pronounced like Mong. Source? Hmong coworker listening to this creepfest with me. 😂
