The majority of thrash and crossover was bred from the anti-establishment ideas of hardcore punk, which leads to the anti-government and anti-religion themes commonly seen in thrash. It’s literally all over the place Anthrax, Power Trip, Suicidal Tendencies, Sepultura, Gama Bomb, Vio-Lence, Toxik. Hell even in actual conservative thrash bands, they were very left wing while they were still thrash, Metallica - Disposable Heroes, Megadeth - Hook in Mouth.
Numbers wise, most thrash is small hardcore-ish bands, and the vast majority of these are anti-religion and anti-establishment, two major ideas of the left wing.
