- In today's video, we'll have a comparison between 3 different Squier Mustang guitars.
We have a Squier Bullet M
Mustang HH in Sonic Grey, 2 Squier Classic Vibe Mustang's one with single coil and one with a DiMarzio Hotrail in the bridge.
I'll play to a backing tracking concentrating on the 3 different bridge pickups.
All 3 of the Squier Mustangs have the been fitted with the same 10 gauge Fender strings and have been setup pretty much identical.
Which Squier Mustang do you think sounds the best?

Very nice trio .I got into offsets at Christmas when I bought a Fender Blacktop Jaguar 90 in Candy Apple red and have now bought a Squire Bullet Mustang in black that arrives tomorrow .It's a 2020 so hoping it has a 9.5 radius fret board the same as my Jag and my Teles It's a unique guitar and everyone will know it's a Bullet so I won't try to pass it of as a Fender like a lot do.
I have a sonic mustang and it's a beautiful guitar. 💓🎸.
Classic Vibe for me and I'd love to see one refinished in a contemporary colour with matching headstock, like Mystic Jade with Texas Tea racing stripes or vice versa 😉👌

@@theguitarmanifesto I bought one of these too and I totally stripped it down. Gonna do it in competition orange for my son. I was going to do a single HB in the bridge but I might just stick with the stock one

prefer the standard classic vibe (#2) but that modded #3 is probably the best with distortion. i really want to like the bullet but it sounds off, ever so slightly, i dont know if its the pickups or the intonation or what, but something is off-sounding about it.

How does the feel of the neck of the newer bullet compare to the CV? Asking because I had a bullet mustang with 12" radius and it was just too skinny for my taste.
It's still skinny unfortunately one of the downside to the bullet, especially when you have large hands like myself 🤣
They all sound great. How do they compare when played perfectly clean with no effects at all?
The start of each demo they are clean, to be fair all pretty much sound the same the single coil CV was a tad thinner sounding

I was wandering how each of these stack up to the Harley Benton MS-60. Not sure if you still have that from the earlier videos?
Yes I have the Harley Benton Mustang videos up in the archives, to be honest the Squiers all wipe the floor with the HB

No worries at all, they're a better modding platform too being a standard Mustang shape unlike the HB
I have a bullet and love the thin neck as I have short hands. Are the necks the same on all ?
The Classic vibes have a thicker neck

It may need some fine tuning around the neck pocket, they can vary in size by a few mm

@@theguitarmanifesto I don't think anyone cares if you play a Nirvana riff but if that's actually an issue, any heavy riffs with power chords and a DS1 pedal would be really helpful
Videos get demonertised for paying copyrighted music, I talk from experience. Like I've said I've made plenty of Nirvana content in the past go check them out for Nirvana sounds.

Hello everyone, I just put the HH Olympic White one on layaway for 80.00! It looked to be in pristine condition too. I only put it on layaway too stall for time since my wife might lose her shit if she sees another guitar. I have been having some awesome luck at the pawn shops recently with great guitar finds. Will something strange happen if you swap out the stock Mustang neck with a Strat neck because the difference of the scale length? I am just curious.

I own both, all stock no mods, and Bullet is much better for grunge tones than CV. Stock CV's pickups are too bright and jangling.
