The rest of their songs are a mix of this. Got to see them twice before the band stopped being a touring band. Their last show was 200km away on a worknight. Show ended at 1am and I was up at 5am to drive home and go to work. Was so worth it.
Perfect concept band Ice Nine Kills : The Silver Scream and The Silver Scream 2 Welcome to HorrorWood. The videos of their songs piece together into their own slasher horror movie. Each track’s lyrics play on the themes of your favorite horror/slasher movie franchises… deep rabbit hole to go down. #Horrorcore
In the idea of concept albums, I feel you must do Operation: Mindcrime by Queensryche In my opinion it’s the greatest album of the 80s if not the 20th century. Yes I think it’s that good.
Great tune! In my teens I listened to a lot of hardcore and such else, the crazier it was the more I liked it. In my 20s I got out of those vocals as I discovered Symphony X, Dream Theater, Ayreon, Shadow Gallery, and more than a few other bands with amazing vocalists. In my mid 30s I got back into the harsh vocals. They need to be done well though, and with enunciation. This is what I heard in this song. The balance in this song was really nice. That said you should check out Enslaved if you have not. Excellent mixture of clean and harsh vocals. From Below the Lights and onward.
About concept albums & collection I'd have one!!! Ayreon (musical theatre, do you remember?) They (Arjen Lucassen) did 6 albums about the same concept! "The Final Experiment" is their first album and the first of the whole concept that goes through: -Into the electric castle; -The Universal Migrator (Part 1&2); -The Human Equation; -01011001; -The Source; And now let's get back to the reaction. EDIT: as you I like the instrumental part, it was a very good song. About the vocals I don't like Growl, but if the song it's good I'm okay with it.
When I saw them live, many years ago, they were lovely. The harsh vocalist had such power in his presence.... I was hypnotized by the simple act of his breathing, in-between sections when he was roaring... His heaving chest was just so hypnotizing & I fully realize that this sounds like smut.... Eh, it might be ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This was a lot more prog than I expected. I'm not sure what I expected entirely, but the name gave me a more industrial death metal feel - I guess I expected Fear Factory but heavier and with deeper and less shouty vocals? This was very cool actually. That post-solo section was so incredibly Opeth. That was my first thought as well. 😂
@@slayercred James joined The Faceless and Andy joined Rivers of Nihil. Andy said they'll still make some stuff in their spare time, but not sure who will all be in the band, but as a touring live band they're dead.
The vocalist of Black Crown Initiate is also the vocalist for Replacire, an awesome Extreme/Technical Death Metal band with a proggy twist to composition. He's also the current vocalist for The Faceless, a prestigious Progressive/Technical Death Metal band.
James Dorton. He is also touring with Ne Obliviscaris. By the way you should react to Ne Obliviscaris: beautiful clean vocals, emotional extreme harsh vocals, very dynamic composition
Here is one that switches from clean vocales to harsh. Ingested - A Path Once Lost. This song is forboading and matches with the lyrics perfectly. It's a slower beat that leads into a pretty surreal guitar solo. ua-cam.com/video/m5P5Q10F-pA/v-deo.html
I really enjoyed the guitar work on this song! Cool band, damn good song! Please check out the video for Bloodline, by Slayer. I know that You like songs about Vampires! Keep up the great work My Fine Scottish Lady! ❤❤❤

You put word to why i really like Black crown initiate when you said it felt Opeth. I really do love Opeth as well so it tracks :)
BCI s phenomenal. They are SO under-rated. Unfortunately, theyre not really a thing anymore.
@@Christian-vq8rd their last album was not that much time ago, what happened?

You have to give "Selves we Cannot Forgive" by these guys a try. Highest level of songwriting for these guys.

I'm not sure if you have reacted to the pretty reckless, but I feel like this maybe a band worth a reaction. Female singer, Def not death metal.
