ALONG THE TRAGIC PAST of Thai-Burma Railway - from Kanchanaburi to Hellfire Pass

- I've travelled from Bangkok to the bridge over the River Kwai in Kanchanaburi and to Hellfire Pass along infamous Burma Railway, which was built by Japanese during World War II (between 1940 and 1943) to supply troops and weapons between two occupied countries. I'm sharing the history about the construction of this deadly network, as well as beautiful scene of rural Thailand.

A well made video. I was first there in 1981. There was virtually no facilities or paths then. A lot of good work has now been done to tell the story of the railway history.
Agreed. Perhaps, you should consider visiting it again, since a lot has changed.
Yes, perhaps I should. I would like to walk stretches of the railway. The TBR videos offer a very informative guide. ua-cam.com/video/TQxXW-rMk7c/v-deo.htmlsi=j4f9HZARtXCj4d35 @@SoAndrew
My cousin James Joseph Towers who was a deckboy on the Empress of Asia. James died age 19 at Hintock on the death railway on the 13th June 1943. James is buried in the Kanchanaburi war cemetery. James you died at the cruel hands of the Japanese Army. I hope you are at peace now. God bless.
