EA have responded on Twitter saying "Attention, Star Wars: Battlefront II players! We're aware of an ongoing issue where some players have experienced a loss of progress in the game. 📷 Our team is actively working on resolving this issue. We appreciate your patience as we work on resolving this issue. Stay tuned for updates! May the Force be with you." As expected, they communicated and are fixing it.

I signed out of ps4 ,created a new password and signed back in and problem fixed
It’s absolutely inexcusable, that EA, a company with basically infinite resources can’t leave behind a skeleton crew to push out quarterly or semi-annual bug fixes!
I cannot believe this had to happen on the most emblematic day for the Battlefront 2 players, May 4th…
If it makes you feel anybetter, I havn't had starcards, heros, credits or skins for the past 3 days, they have come back but then It dissapeared again. It came back for lile 10 minutes but now its gone again, whenever I fix it the problem just returns soooo yeah......
And it happened to me right as I was about to break a losing streak
This really confused me, I'm glad to know it wasn't just me
i was devastated at first, but then as i kept playing all my progress restored itself

It was really unfair aswell! I usually use the NT 242 in sniper battles and I couldn't! While for others they seemed to not be affected at all and could one shot me 😡

Hey ya'll, here's a more technical explanation from a good friend of mine.
"The events system utilises kill switches that were originally intended to lock down broken features while they work on a patch. In this case it is safe to assume that something has gone wrong with the event and the result is that most post-launch unlocks and some other systems have been kill switched. It will be fixed when the event ends or when someone at DICE intervenes - whichever comes first."
for me, i had this issue about an hour ago as id only just hopped back on after a week.
dooku, grevious, anakin, and obi were locked, al star cards locked and unselected as well
all i did was joined a coop game, leveled up my lowest class (specialists for me) and by the end of the game it had all reset. hope this helps others too
cannot speak on the points and crystals as i had the celebration edition on ps4,but the heroes and star cards all came back fine
I just straight up deleted the application and redownloaded it 😭

update, played a few different game modes, and now its all locked again? i can spend credit to unlock the 4 heroes again and i do have the credits but thats still odd?
all of the star cards have gone from my other classes though, im trying to level up again to see if that changes it, i will update again.
my classes areall high levels but the star cards are saying theyre locked until i reach level 2 etc. so im gonna try and level up. before, 25k xp would b the amount needed to level up a class when you were at X level, so im going to try and do that. the classes have a grey bar underneath represesnting how much xp is needed to level up but considering the circumstances im just gonna aim for the highest amount of xp to see, it might think im level 1, but then if i make 25k my assault class might go from 41 to 42, that might regist and then update my stuff???

Games still riddled with hackers. Wouldn't be shocked if they caused this
nope. they are not the reason. nothing to do with them. I said in the video it's just a sync visual issue
I think it’s just players being better than others. So many people and kids default to screaming HACKERS when they get out played
just get good, learn how to jump strafe, hit headshots, if you're playing jet learn how to hit shots while in the air, and optimize your star cards, i don't think there are any hackers, people are just good at the game
I play on ps4 atm, and I don’t experience hackers on my end..
I don’t think it’s necessarily hackers, but the only problem I would say that there is, are people that use a XIM, now I don’t know if I’ve ever run into a someone who has, there was one time I believe the person was based upon their movements, and it wasn’t just high sensitive, but maybe they weren’t idk, but if they weren’t, mad respect because they were really good, but it did seem a bit suspicious
Guys if ur on ps5 ,i figured it out its really simple , so once ur glitch no money cards looked u afk in the main lobby let ur ps5 go into rest mode by its self once the system shuts off turn it on u will get a thing saying disconnect or wtv then u connect and ur good to go
the thing that helped me was closing all ea apps in task manager and i also diddnt get any pre order skins
never mind just chekd and i got them lol

YES! This is exactly what happened to me on May 4th, but everything's back to normal. I'm glad I wasn't the only one with this problem.

I had this problem on May 4th and I decided to play anyway, figuring that the problem would be solved soon.
I just logged on and found out I lost everything I’m glad that their fixing it
So glad i have to wait AFTER the event to use all of the gear i unlocked

Dude I was wondering what had happened to all my weapons and cards and hero’s man I’m happy I’m not the only one either
My games progress has been wiped for over a year now. I put so many days into that game and had every hero maxed and then I get on my Xbox to play with a friend and everything was wiped. No idea why. Even chatted with EA service and they pretty much said I’m screwed. This was about a year ago. No idea if this will even help my cause….
I just got the game today, and It is amazing
I even got my 501st skins locked again along with Grievous, Dooku, Obi-Wan and Anakin but I'll wait till tomorrow to see if they come back
Experienced this glitch today while playing, I’m just glad enough people are still playing BF2 for it to become a recognized issue. It’s still a crime that this game was cancelled just as it was getting the love it deserved
This is really worried because when this happens I close the game after 30 minutes it goes back to normal I have all the star cards, heroes, and blasters but after I play a game or 2 the glitch happens again

I logged in later in the day on may 4 and the event didn’t seem to exist on my end. I played a few games and there weren’t any differences then normal and the next thing I know I don’t have anything and it’s like I have a level 1 account again and logging in for the first time. I tried several things with no success, and I was not at all happy I’m not able to play this event because it didn’t seem to exist on my end no matter what I did. Happy may 4th I guess
I made a comment about this glitch yesterday, and the next day, all my stuff was back

I just got Battlefront 2 for my PC and started working with multiplayer safe mods, I had no idea this was a widespread issue and just assumed losing my data was just something I needed to sacrifice in order to play with mods
I personally not only lost all my progress, but i also cannot earn more things, i’ve been playing the whole day trying to figure out how to fix the problem and I’ve realized that i also cannot earn more crate boxes, credits and skill points, i already leveled up a little (officer and han solo are kinda my mains) and no matter how many levels i’ve leveled up i get the notification that i earn stuff but i still can’t access to it, right now i’m only playing the campaign and trying to get some trophies (i’m a playstation user).
I went back and replayed the last mission of the campaign so it would load my saved data and it worked
Game literally unwinds itself over time.

I genuinely just got back into this game last week after about 2 years and I started tweaking when all my guns and credits were gone and then I reloaded it and it was there again. Now it’s a 50/50 wether or not my things are there in between games and it’s really annoying
I do believe that the squadrons servers will go down first then bf1 and then bf2
I noticed that too like I was scared already

I played one game without everything then I got my stuff back then took a break and booted the game up again and lost all my stuff again so this very weird how it’s affecting certain people and not everyone

It happened to me, but my levels and cards came back after a couple of hours, except for my Heroes card levels.

It’s weird but all my currencies in battlefront are glitched aswell
I've given up on the unlimited power event. No exaggeration I couldn't play a single full game of Galactic Assault due to the amount of hackers that are hell bent on ruining the even. Next year I'm not even going to bother playing on may 4th
I just played 5 games this past 2 hours, no hackers, germany server.
Mine has been going in and out, the for May the 4th. I just played a few games earlier, with no problem. Got off for a few hours to eat, got back on and now my star cards are missing again...

I have that problem too and sometimes it locks all my cards and weapons and when i can use cards then i cant upgrade them even when i have skill points
Close the game 3 times it usually just comes back on its own hope it helps

Huh had this issue today when I was playing co-op and my characters didn't have their star cards. Had to reboot the game and it fixed it.
I’ve not had any issue so far today
this happened to me and all i did was delete my save file and reinstalled the game, i had to wait for the installation of the game but since the save data is with EA servers you don't lose your progress and I had all my stuff back. I was weird though..it happened to me mid game where I was playing as Dooku then I died and he was locked.

So basically, just reset your game, a bunch or play a bunch of matches until it resets. All my stuff just came back, but I have to re-equip everything.

Happened to me for the first time and was absolutely heart broken, thank goodness it’s an easy fix. I raged on the night of may 4th and should’ve just took a deep breath and looked what to do

I lost my skins, emotes but it says I still own the emotes, and when I try to buy my skins back and I can’t it just says error purchasing and my cards. Is it just my problem with all this stuff missing?
Funny enough, I just had to check my battlefront and I got all my heroes and weapons back, just not my starcards, crystals or credits

All the glitches happened to me and I tried leaving the game and joining another twice, that didn't work so I closed the game and opened it up again and it was still there sadly... SO then I turned my whole console off and on and it was still there so hopefully they fix this soon 💀

Yeah it’s like some sort of server glitch for me this is what’s happening
Anakin, Obi Wan, Grievous and Dooku locked
Hero star cards locked and skins to
Reinforcements Star cards locked and skins
Credits and Crystals gone
But for some reason the levels stay the same
Also I switched my controllers and I just had to reequip cards and skins it worked for one game and then didn’t work again but it could work for other players so try the method if you have more than one controller
Phew, I thought I may of been the only one
mine started before may the 4th i think it was like may the 1st when it started and its still happening non stop. glitches i found: heros costing 400 to play as instead of 4k, grevus dooku kenobi and anikin being locked and the game asking for creadits to re unlock them, star cards locking and my money [gems and creadits] geting set to 0. i remember back in 2019 when i got it for my birthday and was exited i got it as a early present and i loved it. it had no bugs back then from what i found and was one of my favorited games ever but now the bugs made the game from 4 star to 2 cuz MY DATAAAA!!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! MYYYY MONEYYYY!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOO!!!!! :( my 40k creadits and 5 gems :(
So how to fix this? I bought the game from steam, my friend plays from epic and if I join him, my cards and progress disappear and now my friend’s builds are gone, ho we fix this?

It fixed itself parcially during watching this but most of my cards are not maxed they are all level one
Just got all my stuff back, didn't do any method just stopped playing for a bit.
May 4th I tried to play, mine was a little different. Some classes were at rank 1. Some lost half of their points. But all of them had no star cards available, even the ones that kept rank. I did all the solutions possible and to this day it's still the same. Now I'm getting wrecked by max level players. Help

This is honestly terrible. So many people will be coming back to play for May 4th, and having this awful glitch. This is just unacceptable, especially for how long this has been out for.
i downloaded it again yesterday and proceeded with frosty with my old mods, i thiught I had done something wrong lol

seems like you have an issue with your input device or software on your pc blocking it

I play this game on both PC and Xbox and I gotta say hackers can still appear on Xbox, but are extremely rare where hackers are more common on pc

Leaving the server did nothing for me personally I tried it 4 times everything was still locked. Ill just wait for EAs patch so I don't have to reinstall. Since it'll be soon. And also yeah the PC hackers are growing alot. I was playing supremacy and one of the republic heroes had no cooldowns so kept spamming abilities infinitely

24 hours but it is on due to them trying to fix the issue
