Ye I am so confused about this features change. It worked perfectly before but now I either don’t see any messages or i have to flip my phone during the night to mot see the messages displayed because you can’t set it to open homescreen only

Those apple geniuses just had to f@k up the one thing I loved about my phone , now when the do not disturb is on , all the calls just go through and there ain’t even no options to fix that. It should actually be called “ disturb the sh$t outta you “ mode

so go to focus and make sure it’s on then go to setting then press messages and it will say allow messages to access focus

This wasn’t actually a “fix” for focus not working. You merely showed us how to manually turn it on and off
Thank you for this video. I understood your “how to” however it dose not address what to do when the feature just doesn’t behave as expected. Nothing complicated. I set the “Do Not Disturb” to turn on at 11:00PM & off at 8:00AM, M-F. Yet during the middle of a week day, I will find it on, keeping calls and other forms of contact muted from me. Then it will be off when I need it to be on. Now anyone who sends a message from other time zones will unknowingly disturb me. Just wondering if you have any thoughts on that or could point me in the right direction of someone who could answer this dilemma that shouldn’t be.

Hi all, i think i might have found the solution. I believe you want the same I do: no buzzing or screen lighting up when not using the phone (except when getting called), but still recieve notifications when hsing the phone.
I stumbled upon an apple forum thread where someone said this:
If you go to Settings > Focus > Do not disturb and set it so that no apps are allowed notifications, then on the same Do not disturb screen scroll down to Lock screen > and switch on Silenced notifications to Show on lock screen. Then your notifications don't vibrate the phone or light up the screen but they will still show on the lock screen if you look at your phone! Happy days! :-)

I have nobody on the “allow notifications” yet I still get texts. Whether I’m using my phone or not people still get through to me.
At first it was just one person who was able to bypass (even though he wasn’t on allowed people)
But now EVERYONE is getting through. It’s very annoying and I literally don’t know what to do. At some point I just don’t want my phone to buzz and it still is

How do we set our automated reply with the new update?
Any idea why my Share Across Devices is Greyed Out and switch is set on Do not share, yet all 3 of my devices are sharing the Focus settings.
This video doesn't address the problem, (BUG), that everyone is having with DND on IOS 15.
The problem I'm having and most everyone with an iPhone running IOS 15.x are complaining about is that "Do Not Disturb" does not turn off as scheduled. I have always had my DND scheduled for 12am to 6am, and it's worked perfectly in IOS 13.x and 14.x, but since this Focus thing is now forced on us in IOS 15.x, it's a huge problem. DND is "sometimes" staying on after the 6am mark and will not turn off unless I go to Focus settings and manually turn it off.
I'm an Android phone user for my personal life, but this iPhone 11 is a work phone and I'm missing important calls and messages due to what I and many on Reddit and other sites are calling a bug with Focus or DND. I thought it would be fixed in IOS 15.2 but no. This bug still exists since today DND was still on even though I have it scheduled to turn off at 6am.
I wasn't sure if the other Focus settings, (Driving, Personal, Sleep, Work), were causing the issue. All of those weren't "Set Up" since so I don't see how those were affecting the issue, but what I did today was delete all of those other DND settings so all that's on the Focus settings screen is Do Not Disturb. I guess I'll see if this fixes this horrible bug.

my do not disturb mode is on but none of the iOs sounds are muted for some reason. i thought do not disturb should mute all notifications like imessage received etc currently i see no difference with dnd on or off.
I need help because before my dnd would block out messages and calls while I’m on my phone but it only blockes out peoples calls so can u help me I need every notification to be blocked out

My DND used to auto send calls outside of my favorites and emergency bypass . and all the calls are coming in . i tried everything to get my setting back to how it is orginally how they are

Basically before (ios14 and so on) I was using it for saving up my battery so every time I got a new nofitication that wasn't necessarily important whilst working etc my phone didn't go off so in my opinion it saved the battery throughout the day... buuut what I really liked it was getting every notification whilst using the phone, so for example when I was scrolling down facebook or whatsoever, I still got a whatsapp notification with a new message, so I could respond immediately etc and now it's gone 😭everything is silent and I need to open my notification centre to even notice that I got a notification from another app and it drives me crazy, not gonna lie. Does anyone has any tips about that? I'm gonna be really grateful 🥺

I want my screen NOT TO LIGHT UP when I receive a notification but i want to see the notifications "accumulated" in the blocked screen when i touch the lock button, BUT ALSO, i want to receive the notifications WHILE i am using the phone. Am i making myself clear?

Problem: Every-time I have my phone on Focus mode or DND, I STILL KEEP RECEIVING PHONE CALLS AND TXT LIKE WTF. I even turned the settings off for allowed phone calls and notifications for NO ONE & I still keep receiving calls and text, literally what’s the point of having it on when it doesn’t work? I hope you can fix my problem because it’s so annoying 😭

DND while at this location remains on after leaving the set location. FOCUS just keeps updating your current location as the DND location and never turns off. Any ideas? Thanks
I have my do not disturb on correctly but it’s not telling people who text me that my notifications are silenced and I don’t know why? It’s done totally correct . The only one that works is the driving focus. That tells people I am driving but is there a way to fix the do not disturb so people can see it? I have it set up correctly . Thanks

I’ve same settings like yours but I’m so much can say in pain as WhatsApp calls still on, I received watsapp calls even don’t disturb on, I sleep very late and I need a sound peaceful sleep but these calls making my life worst
My phone never ever notifies me of anything anymore. My husband gets angry bc he can’t contact me and he was thinking that I just intentionally keep it on do not disturb. I used to keep it on a lot due to spam calls but since those have died down some that’s not the case. I just can’t switch it to any mode other than “Do not disturb” or “Focus”. I have been trying to find information online as to what is happening and how to fix it, but I’m have no luck.

Go to DND Settings>Allowed Notifications>People. On the top there are two tabs (People and Apps). Click on People. Under the “Also allow” category click on “Calls from” and switch to “No One”.
Repeat the steps and do the same for the other tab called “Apps”.
That doesn't work! I still get text notifications from people not in the "allowed notifications." And although I have hours set, DND blocks notifications 24 hours. I've tried every combination of settings, even using a custom focus, and nothing works.
I need it to keep showing the notifications on my lock screen but to not activate it for it to go on whenever a new one comes. I need them to just be there and I'll check them whenever I get the chance, but I need the phone to, literally, NOT DISTURB ME when the notifications are arriving

You could turn off buzzing for notifications (not calls) entirely. Downside is that your phone never buzzes when using it, except when you get called
it does not answer the question, you still can NOT just tap on the screen on/off do not disturb option and there is no do not disturb option any more on the screen, personally i don't need that multifunction crap, it sounds more like Samsung and androids now soooo bloody complicated and not user friendly

My Samsung S10 running Android 11 has an uncomplicated and totally user friendly Do Not Disturb setting.
In fact, not much has changed with the DND settings since my first smartphone which was a Samsung S4 in 2013.

Sometimes it will not turn off when scheduled for over night.
It's a bug. I thought that IOS 15.2 would've fixed it, but NOPE!!! This morning at 11am DND was still on when it's scheduled to turn of at 6am.
What I did today was to delete all the other Focus settings, (Driving, Sleep, Personal, Work). None of them were "Set Up" but just to be sure I deleted all of them. But since this bug is intermittent, only time will tell if that fixes this. However, I'm pessimistic it will.

Same thing happened to me. Do not disturb is on but phone still rang and woke me up. I have my phone setup to let phone ring only when someone from my contact list calls. Maybe that’s why? Still it pissed me off

@@briansmagicalfunland Hi… nearly. I took it to 3 different O2 shops and they all fiddled with my settings. Each time I thanked them and walked away happy. BUT still it didn’t work.
Finally I turned sleep mode on and then selected NONE in the contacts and apps section.
Now it works EXCEPT my sky news alerts and my cctv alerts still come through.
But im leaving it like that. Best I can possibly do.
So …. Apple, if you’re listening … SORT THIS SHIT OUT !!! if three O2 professionals can’t do it, and I’ve got it 95% working after hours of UA-cam videos etc, ITS NOT US … ITS YOOOOU
