I went through all the settings several times and nothing changed except (Resetting all Settings) described in #10 and it worked like a charm for my iPhone 11! Easy, and fast! Now I can hear a normal conversation without using speaker phone. Thanks!
I just did that an it worked . Thank you for the help because girl my phone was messed up for weeks an nun of those methods worked . But once I saw your comment an gave it a try it worked . If I could hug you I would lol .
I thought I was going insane with the low volume when listening to a phone call . I called Verizon and Apple to no avail. Why is this so complicated? Who is designing these complicated, complicated features nobody needs while removing the whole purpose of a phone call: to hear the person who is calling. You are amazing for sharing! Thank you!
You were the third person / video I listened too fix this problem…..it worked on your suggestion to change from automatic to speaker. In the CallAudio Routing. Thank you so much…❤❤. Had this problem for months…..👏👏👏👏
I had this issue awhile back and forgot how to fix it when a friend came to me saying her phone had this issue. She had tried everything. NOPE! The hard reset, Force Restart did the trick! Made her day and mine! Thank you and God bless!!
Thank you! I was just thinking of mailing back a refurbished phone because of this issue. I don’t know which step fixed it, I went down the list- but it is FIXED 🤗
For me the hearing aid activation worked but the sound is still at a low volume like 30-40% from the normal volume. With hearing aid disabled i hear nothing. Will try all te rest if the solutions, it seems to be a software problem. Thank you!!
I have an iPhone 12 after I updated to iOS 17.3 my iPhone ear speaker stopped working completely. it happened right after the night my phone got software updated . I was very worried did everything I can searched a lot of videos. I cleaned my ear speaker with brush but no success. I watched a video on which I was told to turn on hearing aid compatibility after I turned it on I got 20 percent volume coming from ear speaker which feels like someone is speaking from a distance in the wood. from that point I updated to all iOS updates now I have reached iOS 18. I think it is a software bug because if it was a hardware issue why 20 percent volume comes when hearing aid has been turned on. apple should give a software update to resolve this issue. or if someone can help out I will be very thankful.
@@macjohnsokoto3614 use a QTip with a small amount of rubbing alcohol to clean the speaker. It’s the last part of the video. Turn the phone off beforehand.

Take a few pieces of tape and work them into the grove where the speaker is located for a few seconds. Then pull the tape off slowly and that will pull out most lint and debris that generally block the tiny holes that let the sound out. I had the same problem and after a few times everything came out and my sound was back to normal
Nothing worked for me, its so frustrating! I can make and receive a call but there's no sound until i press speaker then i can hear perfectly fine, but once you press speaker again no sound. It'll also work if i connect to my earphones. What do you think the issue is 🤔
Making a call fixed my problem thank you!!! Because I realize that it was connected to my headphones and I didn’t realize it before because it didn’t indicate a picture that I was using Bluetooth-
My iPhone 12 ear speaker was working just fine both bottom and ear speakers, all of a sudden it just went super low and I factory reset my phone and it did not work my ear speaker is super low apple needs to do a software fix for this,NOTE:I just bought the iPhone 12 😢
I watched to much videos but no solution but I am watching justnow your video here is solution 😍 really you are genius 👌 my iphone perfect oke thanks alot
My iPhone 7 top speaker doesn’t work with music or any videos except for calls is that normal because I hear the tiniest buzz from it like it wants to play music but it can’t also looked like it has a indent like say a ramp on both side and the bottom speaker puts out more sound on call then the top
What did I do!!!!! My phone would make calls but I could only hear on speaker then I did the step 5 fix and now my phone won’t make any calls at all!!! Help me please asap
i find its alot easier to clean the power port by hold the phone with the back facing you, as this makes it so the pins are facing upwards, and while cleaning, it prevents from accidentally damaging those pins. just something i do all the time.
Thanks for the video and info!! I have a iPhone 8 and When I receive phone calls I can barely hear them and I can barely hear someone if I’m talking without speakerphone with speakerphone I can hear them but without it I can’t with speaker do I need to replace? Excellent video, my problem was solved by changing audio routing to speaker. Close to a dozen videos I watched earlier did not suggest this solution.
Thank you! Almost did an "erase all reset." Powering my phone off fixed it for me. Thanks and God bless!
Hearing aid compatibility brought my sound back but it’s only quiet better than no sound

Resetting all settings did the trick
We did the reboot and it brought back the speaker. Thanks
Thanks, restarted the phone and it works.
In the end, it was the rubbing alcohol and QTip that did it for me 🤙

The ear speaker will need replacing, and you'll probably lose your face ID in the process.
