    Paul plays the guitar and speak about it, as if they recorded Thriller last week...so wonderful.
    You guys should bring together all the people involved and talk with Quincy Jones about it... that would be a true UA-cam Perle. EVERY MUSICIAN on this planet would watch that...
    perhaps you can manage to finally mix some of the demos who weren't published yet... damn that would make an album I would buy instantly ... with all the instruments of that era, and the session players... Bruce Swedien can't be replaced, but it would be still a BIG THING....Thriller 2

    *True Confession:* I remember when I bought Thriller at the tail end of 1982 that I loved it so much I even loved how it smelled. There was some special ink or something they used on the cover and sleeve that it had such a unique smell, and I associated that smell with Thriller ~ and always loved it, I still remember how it smelled.
    That makes me think - whomever is running this channel, you should try to interview some of the people who designed the album cover/sleeve/photographers, that would be interesting to hear !

    Lukather was all over beat it (and is credited for it); except for the solo. What did PJJr played on it ? I'm a bit confused.

    I'm confused.. The interviews that I've seen - Steve Lukather says that Quincy Jones brought him in and he (Luke) played the guitar parts for Beat It except for the Eddie Van Halen solo. What part(s) did Paul play on Beat It?

    • @musician069
      @musician069 Рік тому +1

      I hope i can answer this. Sooooo the original “Beat it” track had Paul on it. The story Steve said he was brought in because they were trying to splice Eddie’s solo with the original track and it got screwed up. Nothing synced. So Quincy was freaking out and Jeff Porcaro and Steve had to recreate the track. Steve playing bass and guitar and Jeff the drums. To match Eddie’s solo and the rest is history. Im sure you knew all this. But I think Paul must have played on the original tracking of Beat It.
