Was there for F1 and had forgotten to snag a reservation at Din Tai Fung in advance of the trip. Much to my surprise when I checked on Friday morning, there was a reservation available for Saturday at 12:30. This supports my Lyft driver's theory (I left early Monday) that generally there were far fewer visitors in the city over the F1 weekend and that the vast majority of visitors were there exclusively for F1 vs. weddings, parties, etc. And for that to be the case even with the Raiders in town on Sunday seemed surprising, though hard to judge with it being the weekend before Thanksgiving. I'm just glad I got my Din Tai Fung fix.
I just want to see the properties get rid of the fees, all the little fees that keep getting added on are getting old… the worst is resort fees, they continue to rise and are just padding the company profits…. When is enough-enough and people start avoiding Vegas in search of other destinations? We are considering dropping to once a year and traveling to other locations, which is sad because it used to be a relatively inexpensive vacation for my wife and I. Thank you for producing the show once again! Good content as always. Would be curious on your thoughts of rivalry weekend in college football?

Have been to Top Golf in LV and liked it. Have not been at Atomic Golf but friends who have say they really liked it and were surprised when there that it was not very busy at all. Seemingly they just need better marketing as friends also thought the prices were reasonable.
Went to din tai fung with a friend and his Taiwanese wife. They knew all the amazing dishes to order which is great because we aren't that adventurous or knowledgeable about the cuisine. Everything was amazing and we were so stuffed by the time we left. We never got to see the price because our friends treated us but even if it was a couple of hundred each I still think it was worth it. I'd go back there every time over say Bazaar meats.
This is another good reason for me to buy a knock off Rolex watches or Richard Mille watches if I can find one. Not only will I impress the ladies with a nice looking fake watch, I will be able to piss off any thieves that think it is a real luxury watch if they steal it.
Resort fees, parking fees, fees on fees, I have to come there once a year for a conference and that is way too often. There are too many great places to go in this world to spend time in Vegas. Why not get Chinese food in Hong Kong, Italian food in Rome, great French food in Paris?
If you haven’t tried them, try out Mila for soup dumplings… they do great mail order (frozen!) and are also carried in some costcos and other grocery stores. So good.
Overcharging for everything on the strip will reach a breaking point at some time. Till then, I stay off strip and get some value for my hard earned money. Forgetaboutit.
Vegas in the 60’s 70’s and early 80’s was so cool. Not anymore. It’s like Disneyland for grown ups. A slick, plastic, impersonal machine designed to strip you from your money as fast as possible while telling you what a great time you had. Sad.
Totally agree, been goin since 1978, to many great stories and events to talk about. There was some class back then, no kids, no strollers, a true adult oasis. 18:37 But today, Disneyland with gambling, crazy prices, poor service, more crime, strip full of garbage and vagrants bothering everybody and fees for everything! I live outside the States and going there used to be doable but not anymore. May last trip to 2019 to Vagas was at Mandalay Bay, $80 for 2 padded lounge chairs by the wave pool, $30 for a 15” no buzz cocktail, $25 for a hamburger and fries , we shared, $12 for a soda a 2 bags of chips, and the wave pool wasn’t working. I play local, no tax on winnings, no kids, no fees, free rooms and food and parking, nonsmoking plus plus. I am glad I was there when the Mob ran it, when it was what it was supposed to be. Regardless, it is still a place to visit once in your life. If you do go stay off the strip Green Valley Ranch, Durango, Red Rock etc, rent a car or take a cab to the Strip for the afternoon and evening a couple of times. Don’t spend all your time on the crazy strip, plus gambling is better off the strip. Good Luck.
The town will never be the same. After the Tangiers, the big corporations took it all over. Today it looks like Disneyland. And while the kids play cardboard pirates, Mommy and Daddy drop the house payments and Junior's college money on the poker slots. In the old days, dealers knew your name, what you drank, what you played. Today, it's like checking into an airport. And if you order room service, you're lucky if you get it by Thursday. Today, it's all gone. You get a whale show up with $4 million in a suitcase, and some 25-year-old hotel school kid is gonna want his Social Security Number. After the Teamsters got knocked out of the box, the corporations tore down practically every one of the old casinos. And where did the money come from to rebuild the pyramids? Junk bonds
I was in Las Vegas December 2024 and stayed 6 nights on the Strip and was comped 4 nights with the other 2 nights at a reasonable rate of $40 a night. Sure I had to pay to the resort fee but nowhere in the United States can you stay in a decent hotel for only $50 a night. I ate at the casino food courts hamburger, subway, Popeyes, pizza to save food costs. I got $150 free play from the casino. The Orleans, Palms, Gold Coast, downtown Vegas are only a bus ride from the strip. If you want to get to Red Rock, Green Valley, Durango rent a car for a couple of days or take Uber. The local casinos have better odds for gambling and there are cheaper food options. The Palms and South Point buffets are very good value.
when you get knocked out of the survivor pool you get as a consolation 2 free nights at circa and a bed at stadium swim. I used mine thanksgiving and got to see my bears lose in spectacular fashion on the big screen
It's probably fair that the fan got ejected for breaking the glass at the football game. That glass isn't the same strength as the glass at the hockey game that people bang on and the players get checked into. At any rate, I'm gonna watch my step if I end up in an aisle with glass like that so I don't go flying off the top deck 😂
you bring up a good point - the glass looks weak enough that it might be a counter suit - am i the only one who'd like Yugo or steve lehto's opinion???
Early vegas had the Mob who controlled everything especially street crime against high net worth patrons. The owners today hope a legal framework will prevail as they can not do anything else. That said, I can not imagine anyone can truly commit crimes without facing charges at some point. Unfortunately that may not coincide with the victims needs. Thanks for the fun insider content.
Was a 3 to 4 times a year player. Full comp. I am finally offended by the food costs. It's just not right. Still had to pay tips. $300 for dinner and $35 for breakfast is just not right
Surge pricing is just a thing here unfortunately. 10 years ago, I did some software work for one of the multi-property resorts. Most POS systems only let you temporarily discount but not temporarily raise prices. Surge pricing was something that we programmed into the POS. They could raise prices at one or more properties for some or all products for particular time frame (ex., during F1) all from HQ.
I eat at DTF in SoCal and in Taiwan. The Vegas one is not the best representation. I went a couple years ago and I remember the dumpling portion having 6 dumplings instead of the usual 10 and just seeming overpriced for what it is. I like DTF but there does come a price point where it just doesn’t seem worth it to me. The Taiwan locations are still the best by far. Plus they have seasonal vegetable items which are usually incredible.
It’s harder to sell a watch without Box and Papers. When I see this then it’s usually stolen. Richard Mille are way overrated. Overpriced too. They are good watches but it’s mostly because of the hype. Why the high prices. It’s also hard to actually tell the time. Which kind of defeats its purpose for a watch.
Tired of politicians giving themselves statues, naming things after themselves or other politicians, and otherwise acting like they deserve special recognition. We STILL don’t have a proper memorial site for the October 1 victims, yet we can somehow get a park and statues dedicated to two politicians? What a joke.
1. Adele was okay, Celine Dion was the Greatest. 2. Don’t wear bling in Vegas , nobody cares anyway. 3. Binions Marketing is Cringe 4. Virgin Las Vegas … no. 5. I love Tortas, I’ll have to check Tortazo out, the Cubans is calling my name. 6. I miss Aria buffet , it was so convenient and the Naan was super good 7. Din Tai Fung is good, but the old Aria Cafe had the best BLTs and late night snacks. 8. Oh the Pain, I can feel it. 9. Yay A Filipino Cultural District? sign me up! Can’t wait to visit. 10. Atomic Golf is Spacious and Fresh, sad that it’s not doing well, wish The Strat would have put in a rollercoaster… 11. Such a nice Plaza, thanks for all their hard work.
During 2002-2017 I went to LV 2-3 times a year, but after that time LV got hit with the pandemic and look like things change a lot. I never backed to LV since then. Miss the old time.
Resort fees RUINS the magic of Vegas. There are coworkers who've mevrr been to Vegas but want to but don't want to pay the fees. I recommended a couple of hotels that do change the fees!
I'm not a really big fan of hers, but I had no idea that Adele was playing in Vegas. there hasn't been one bit of advertising. I'm shocked when you say there was a residency here. She does not have a good manager because I would have went to see her. had no idea she was here.
Aria did that for the Super Bowl too. We came in the next weekend and at one place got two different menus. One with higher prices and one with lower prices. We asked which one was right and they said the higher priced one was from the Super Bowl. They literally will be more profitable on volume sales. We weren't affected by it, but as an accountant , left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
You are actually surprised that venues will get gougey or even super-gougey when a limited time big event rolls into a town? Happens with huge sporting events and San Diego Comic-con.
The watch stealing is not exclusive to Vegas. At a recent event Dodgers ace pitcher Walker Buhler had a $400,000 watch jacked along with afew others. The tend to target crowded events ,swarm the victim distracting them and they don’t even realize their watch is gone.
You ask people to not climb up on ledges where they shouldn’t be or remain in designated areas, then when things go wrong their only reply is “oops, sorry” 🙁
Shaun, coming from the UK to Vegas often,wa5ch your videos to keep intouch, just stayed in main street station, don't get too exicited ,but they are fitting a new carpet!,watched it being done - very interesting, knowing your thing for carpets, perhaps you ought to check it out?
Went to Atomic golf on a Thursday night to check out the free drone show. It was also ladies night. The place was at best half full. The music was extremely loud everywhere in the entire building - the staff were complaining about it too but said management wouldn't let them turn it down. Service was also extremely slow, we ordered a round of beers for four people and after over 20 minutes waiting we were so close to just walking out when they finally showed up. The drone show was nice but you actually get a better view from the street although the folks on the street there can be kind of sketchy. Gentrification has not taken over there yet.
Atomic Golf’s craft beer system makes sense in one way. If you’re paying by the ounce, that means you can sample what’s available. But, yes, you should be able to order direct from a server once you know which beer you want.
I have always enjoyed places with that type of set up. Just seems inconvenient for most people there since it is so big. They should at least list them as options for full beers and then say you can also do the card thing.
Many Wall Street pros hedge their positions before reporting date. Wall Street pros are much bigger gamblers than the people gambling in the casinos. If I were that guy in the circa pool, I would have hedged my position.
3:06 actually it won't keep happening if the people who do it get arrested and people realize it's not worth going to jail for 25 years for stealing a watch. Versus the "you can have the cookie if you stop crying" method of punishments😂
In Singapore, there is a Din Tai Fung in almost EVERY mall... no lines, and cheaper... Also, the buffets in Singapore out class the overpriced drec in LV... LV is on the no go list... LV is no longer the best at anything except for ripping off the consumer.. Even the F1 in Singapore has less impact on the population, and they try to do right to the population...
After every Union contract that's negotiated, the prices go up, so it's expensive to begin with, but then you add the surge, ridiculous. The same thing happened with taxi service on the strip.
Yeah, the fan should not have been standing there banging on the glass. He should have been kicked out of the game. He certainly violated whatever terms of service comes with the ticket.
It's stupid to have a cheap glass rail at a stadium. Adele just stands there and sings. Not a real show Mariah is doing a vegas series of shows but I dont know if it will sell

I was staying at Ceasers ,during Covid when she canceled! The poor ticket holders had to get Covid testing to get into the venue and she didn’t cancel until the day it was supposed to start. The poor ticket holders were out plane fare and their hotel .It was an ugly day.
i really don't know the fine line between normal expected use and something just beyond that - looked like he did nothing intentionally - maybe we can send this to the YT lawyers.
0:44 no he's going to get a lawyer who takes the case for free and cash is in against the company who made that safety glass and against the management company of the Raiders facility for harassing his customer and not dealing with the fact that he almost died due to their negligence😂
Nah the glass is designed to do that. That kind of glass breaks into tiny shards like that thatcstill primarily hold together. This prevents huge sharp chunks from being formed and causing more harm than good. Windshield glass is the same way.
You're correct, but can you show me as I turn to the jury where is the warning sticker is on the glass? If it is on there, is it visible to the general public? Imagine your small child breaking through this glass or your loved one falling over because they've had one too many drinks served by the establishment! 😢😅😮😅@@BullmooseBeerTalks
@davidwaVR there doesn't need to be a warning label, the glass didn't break. The glass supported a 200 plus pound man rocking and hitting it. All his weight leaning against it for an extended period of time puts ALOT of pressure against the base. The glass "pre shattered" before it fully lost its integrity, giving the man a visual warning to stop what he was doing before he got hurt. The glass did its job, and the man was asked to leave for causing damage to the property. Also, I don't have the terms and use, but there's a really strong chance this is covered in whatever "I agree" the guy clicked when purchasing the ticket.

My friend got like an iphone 5 stolen in Mexico City and he is like those thieves are gonna be so pissed when they see what they got haha
Resort fees, parking fees, fees on fees, I have to come there once a year for a conference and that is way too often. There are too many great places to go in this world to spend time in Vegas. Why not get Chinese food in Hong Kong, Italian food in Rome, great French food in Paris?
Din Ti Fung is amazing. One of my favorite restaurants in Vegas
🤌🏼
Prices will increase until punters stop spending!
@@mikereddy-x9f if they want people to gamble reduce your prices and fees , if not replace the slots with pinball machines.
Thanks!!!
Thanks Joan!
If they try to charge them ask for the glass and say you will take it to get inspected for safety and they won’t push it any further.
The best soup dumplings in town are at a place called Taiwan Deli. Spring mountain and Arville.
I'll have to check it out!
Junk bonds
"Things changed from how they were when I was young and it makes me feel scared, so I'm going to complain how bad everything is now"
@@jeremys.travels Sounds like a quote from the great movie ‘Casino’.
Been to all of Rick Baylee’s spots. All are very good .
when you get knocked out of the survivor pool you get as a consolation 2 free nights at circa and a bed at stadium swim.
Haha same. Don’t want to count on that glass to save me.
you bring up a good point - the glass looks weak enough that it might be a counter suit - am i the only one who'd like Yugo or steve lehto's opinion???
Yeah it has been in place for awhile at gift shops too. Digital menu boards make it a lot easier to change prices too.
So we can blame you for this? JK...LOL
Thank you for sharing info
Just some person in a basement pushing buttons to raise prices haha
That is what I first thought - there is no way anyone looks at that to check the time
Still so much for me to explore in Chinatown.
Tired of politicians giving themselves statues, naming things after themselves or other politicians, and otherwise acting like they deserve special recognition. We STILL don’t have a proper memorial site for the October 1 victims, yet we can somehow get a park and statues dedicated to two politicians? What a joke.
Agreed!!
Used to go to Vegas every year at least once or twice since the early 80s been three years its not fun anymore. My favorite place is South Point.
1. Adele was okay, Celine Dion was the Greatest.
2. Don’t wear bling in Vegas , nobody cares anyway.
3. Binions Marketing is Cringe
4. Virgin Las Vegas … no.
5. I love Tortas, I’ll have to check Tortazo out, the Cubans is calling my name.
6. I miss Aria buffet , it was so convenient and the Naan was super good
7. Din Tai Fung is good, but the old Aria Cafe had the best BLTs and late night snacks.
8. Oh the Pain, I can feel it.
9. Yay A Filipino Cultural District? sign me up! Can’t wait to visit.
10. Atomic Golf is Spacious and Fresh, sad that it’s not doing well, wish The Strat would have put in a rollercoaster…
11. Such a nice Plaza, thanks for all their hard work.
Just got back from 5 days at Caesars constant sticker shock $12 for a bottle of beer
It’s so bad.
Gotta hit up one of the 1243 CVS locations and grab a case instead! The prices suck when not gambling for sure
San Diego Indian casinos has the loosest slots.
I'm not a really big fan of hers, but I had no idea that Adele was playing in Vegas. there hasn't been one bit of advertising. I'm shocked when you say there was a residency here. She does not have a good manager because I would have went to see her. had no idea she was here.
You really can't beat a good torta, if you ever make it out to palm springs, ca, get some latin food there. I've never had better.
Very true. I feel tortas are under appreciated.
You’re an accountant, not a business owner paying exorbitant leases, lol. This is a common practice, unfortunately.
Great Video
Thank you!
Thanks for watching Steven
The watch stealing is not exclusive to Vegas. At a recent event Dodgers ace pitcher Walker Buhler had a $400,000 watch jacked along with afew others. The tend to target crowded events ,swarm the victim distracting them and they don’t even realize their watch is gone.
Four
Hundred
Thousand
Dollars !!!!
for a stinkin watch 😵💫
You ask people to not climb up on ledges where they shouldn’t be or remain in designated areas, then when things go wrong their only reply is “oops, sorry” 🙁
Yeah he was up on the curb so I get it.
love it love it
Who needs a watch these days unless you are at work and wont let you look at your phone.
The music was noticeably loud when we were there too, like club level. Don't think it needs to be that unless you really have the place packed.
I thought I was subscribed damn, sorry gents. Is there any news on the new food court at the Ven/palazzo
Thanks for subscribing! I don't think there is anything new on it
No reason for Aria doing surge prices.
Yeah that was sneaky.
I have to insist on more carpet content.
🔥
Many Wall Street pros hedge their positions before reporting date. Wall Street pros are much bigger gamblers than the people gambling in the casinos. If I were that guy in the circa pool, I would have hedged my position.
3:06 actually it won't keep happening if the people who do it get arrested and people realize it's not worth going to jail for 25 years for stealing a watch. Versus the "you can have the cookie if you stop crying" method of punishments😂
👍thank you. Heres one for the algorithm.
Danny Gans was one of the best acts that no one ever heard of. Now we're stuck with guy with electrical tape on his mouth and a carrot head.
Hey Carrot Top is the 🐐
i really like this guy Michael Nugent - heard of him for the first time at Grannyfest
I miss the Aria cafe in the same spot that asian restaurant is now. More variety.
The food in Singapore is top notch for sure.
Lived in the Philippines too for eleven years. Manila. Filipinos are very friendly. Good to see that they will hopefully get their space there.
The fan did nothing wrong. That glass is not what it was purported to be. Someone made some $$$ shorting the stadium.
After every Union contract that's negotiated, the prices go up, so it's expensive to begin with, but then you add the surge, ridiculous. The same thing happened with taxi service on the strip.
🏈Go Redskins
Sad to see Atomic Golf struggling. It looks like such a cool space. I still remember Din Tai Fung as the Aria Cafe. I loved brunching there.
Yeah Aria cafe had such good food!
It’s a great space.
Yeah, the fan should not have been standing there banging on the glass. He should have been kicked out of the game. He certainly violated whatever terms of service comes with the ticket.
Yeah he was on the curb below it too so breaking the rules. Hopefully he isn’t banned permanently since he wasn’t trying to break anything.
It's stupid to have a cheap glass rail at a stadium.
Adele just stands there and sings. Not a real show
Mariah is doing a vegas series of shows but I dont know if it will sell
Finally some decent carpet content.
Slipped in there neatly.
Was good to see you today. Wasn’t sure if you would be on. Was a nice surprise. Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving.
Thank you! I hope you had an awesome Thanksgiving as well.

Thanks, we needed someone to show up and thoughtlessly bloviate.
@aheroictaxidriver3180 you've never seen the movie CASINO obviously 😂🤣😂
@@jeremys.travels The original was a lot better.
Who all reading this isn’t going to get this shout-out??
I was staying at Ceasers ,during Covid when she canceled! The poor ticket holders had to get Covid testing to get into the venue and she didn’t cancel until the day it was supposed to start. The poor ticket holders were out plane fare and their hotel .It was an ugly day.
Yeah it was such a mess. Then once it got going it was so smooth and you didn’t hear much.
It's not that hard: you broke it, you pay for it.
i really don't know the fine line between normal expected use and something just beyond that - looked like he did nothing intentionally - maybe we can send this to the YT lawyers.
Adele made more money here in Munich in 2 weeks,….for herself….than working for Moria in vegas for a year
If you can spend $300K on watch you can afford to lose it.
0:44 no he's going to get a lawyer who takes the case for free and cash is in against the company who made that safety glass and against the management company of the Raiders facility for harassing his customer and not dealing with the fact that he almost died due to their negligence😂
Hope he sees this
Nah the glass is designed to do that.
Warning this is turning into lawyer graphic material😂
