It is nice how relatively easy it goes together. Sure, it’s a bit heavy and awkward for a few people, but once it gets into place, it self-seats itself, more or less.
that is really cool!!! I do have one request. If you are going to be using, Squares, Levels, Tape Measures, (don't get me started in micrometers) could you please have a disclaimer at the beginning of the video? These devise cause high anxiety and sometime hives, I might not be the only one. I will need to see a few hammers used as screw drivers and screw drivers used as pry bars and scrapers just to reset after a show like this. Even if a level, or square is going to be in the shot, let us know so I can at least have the kids turn away. Thanks.
LOL!!! I can’t tell if you are being serious or not! 😂 I’m not sure how else one can ensure the habitat is square unless you have a “calibrated” eye. Although you and I and my brother Bob are all used to using tools as they were never intended to be used, in these builds I kinda have to show those that do not get hives from using a tape measure the “more correct” way to build a box. And here I was thinking we are keeping it simple by using common tools that everyone will have in their garage. Squeamish about ratchet sprays? Look away in the next video! 😂👍🏼
@@HelicoolsHelipad lol, yes, the standards the level and square represent display my inadequacies. My tools of this sort have a way of changing there minds after I nail, glue, or screw, things together! Lol..oh well. Its not me, its the clubs! All joking aside,, Great video, and I am excited to see the progress; would look great your vehicle.
This looks like it will be a great option for those of us who need or will need a box to build from. Does it look like there will be a precut door option? After that last wall is put on you wont have access other than the roof your not going to be able to get inside or see inside until you cut a door or window. Then again you could mount the roof and leave the back open for easy access to work in the box. So far the actual construction looks very thought out and simple as long as you take your time and plan your moves. I'm curious how routing the wiring will work so I'm looking forward to the next installment. Keep up all the great videos!
You have good intuition. The next step is to mount the roof, as cutting the door in the side panel will very nearly cut the panel in half. So the roof will need to be attached first to ensure the integrity of the side panel. Next video to be posted soon!
Спасибо большое за вашу поддержку. Я должен провести еще одну прогулку через несколько дней. Я рада, что вам понравилось то, что вы уже видели. Еще не все! Thank you so much for your support. I should have another out with a few days. I'm glad you liked what you have seen so far. More to come!
LMBO! Are your sure? Yeah, you are right... it all went together with my friend and yours... gravity... and slid into place with the help of a simple ratchet strap! LOL!
Hi Dave, where are the panels made? are they manufactured here in US? or out sourced from other countries? also, if I don't need the mounting part and the wire running part from the extrusion, is it possible to get a customized version? thanks
The panels are domestic made in the great U.S.A. I believe the business model steers away from customization so that costs can be better controlled. This savings is past on to the clients in the form of lower prices. You don’t have to use the wiring channel, they are there for your convenience. I do not believe I would mount the panels in anything else but the extrusions that come with the box. Globe Trekker does not sell any other type of edge brackets.
Like assemble by numbers coolvideo

good morning noble friend Dave, excellent work, it is good to see the pieces taking shape, God bless your life and your family
It was going together so fast! It makes things easy when there is good engineering and parts are cut to specs. God bless your family.
Nice process! The box looks awesome!
It’s coming together very nicely! Easy when there is well thought engineering.

SikaFLEX Dave? I know Sikaplex just rolls off the tough. Just messing with you. Great build... looks easy so far.
Trent... yeah I notice all these things AFTER editing. I hope it was not too distracting.
С нетерпением жду каждую серию!

I didn't see a single hammer used in this video....how is this possible ?? :-)

Total weight assembled (empty)?
Subframe and box is around 2600 lbs. So, just a bit more than the original bed that was on the truck to start with. 😁
How much does a box like that cost
Prices are subject to change, so the best way is to look for the 16' departure angle with brush guards. www.rvglobetrekker.com/
