    The omega is totally machine finished. They haven’t chamfered the screw slots either so that would also imply a machine process to polish them. Hand assembled yes, hand finished no!

      Agreed. Mass produced for sure. One must be very careful with Swiss marketing. It's not as transparent as Japanese or German regulations.

    Mesmerizing. Also if i remember correctly, if you take your Ed White + a secret handshake to Jeff Bozos, Jeff will take you to space for free in one of his rockets.

    To be honest I think Grand Seiko movement finish is much better than Patek, especially considering the price.

      Patek ismalsomlargely machine-produced, only to very very high calibers are hand-finished.

      No totally disagree. The patek movement looks way more luxurious

      That sentence makes no sense. You say that the price/quality ratio (value) is better with Grand Seiko? Nobody would ever dispute that. The value decreases the more money you spend.
      If you say that Grand Seiko has better finish than Patek in absolute terms, then I advise to stop taking the drugs you do and seek psychiatric help

      @@ThriftyCHNR no way man, GS is by far better.

    I would argue that giuoshe (or however it's written) is a type of CNC machine just the computer is mechanical.

      Not sure what you mean. Operating the rose machine by hand to create guilloche is an old world craft.

    Very surprising how "badly" finished are the Omega calibres, even PP is not as astonbishing as I would expect... GS is really far above and yet you didn't chose their best looking calibre.

      I just finally realised what that little flower on the video screen of the iPhone meant. It's just the macro mode. I'm a bit tech-challenged...

      @mybrainlikesthings День тому +1

      The advantage and user-friendliness of using iPhone's macro mode is that it has a very wide focal range; Other macro or microsopic solutions will only show you a tiny bit of your subject in focus.

    I’m not a believer that anyone has been to the Moon. I mean, have you actually looked at the videos of the “Moon Landings”? Anyway, I was just thinking, if the craft is mainly digital in nature, unlike the Soviets Example for a Craft, why then weren’t there digital clocks that could be used as timers? No, use a mechanical watch instead, right? 😂

    Very rough finishing to be honest, nothing to be proud of
