Thanks for this video. I have face masks I bought last summer when I had a water leak and mold developed. I was told to wear them when cleaning stuff up but now I'm leery of wearing them because of shortages. My oldest son passed away Dec. 2017 from cancer and I had bought him a bunch of bandanas to wear at his request and they have been sitting on a dresser since then. When they mentioned cloth bandanas, I though "great, now I have something of his to use" and you have shown me how to do it. I don't go out much but this would work great for grocery store and I'll feel him watching over me during this crisis.
Thanks for the great tutorial. I used this on fleece and it looked loose, so after I finished crocheting the number of rows that I wanted, I went back and reinforced the blanket stitch with clear silicone thread. It really made it more secure.
Found this video after watching bandana video. Both my grandmothers did this on pillow slips, towels and washcloths. Some were four inches wide on the pillow slips and gorgeous. Still have them. They tried to teach me but I have no patience!
Am teaching myself how to crochet and want to add some short sleeves to a t-shirt. I really appreciate how clear your instructions are, especially with the overhead view. This is a lovely pattern too. Thank you so very much for sharing your tutorial!!
I was thinking about how to crochet on to the edge fabric last night,I found your tutorial this morning ,now I have many more projects in mind to do..x
Love this and easy to follow instructions! I want to crochet on he bottom of a straight bottomed "sweatshirt" I bought.. that is darling but too short... so thinking of doing a longer crocheted bottom, about 2 inches or maybe even 3. Will use that main pattern and then do the petals at the very end. Thank you so much!
Yay just what I needed thank you! Instructions very easy and clear to follow. Love that ur okay with "fudging" it on bigger projects lol. I am SO that person! 😁
I was so happy when I found your video. I am teaching myself to crochet an edging on fabric and love this pattern. Do you possibly have this in a written pattern as well? I would to follow along with written instructions as well as the video. Thank you Kristin!!!
Your videos are very good and helpful...I have wanted to crochet on fabric for a long time. After watching your video I feel confident to take on the challenge. Thank you!
That was the best instructional video I have got to see as of today. So easy and So beautiful. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. Truly is a gift. I can't wait to get started.
you have an amazing gift! You give people inspiration with all your projects. I love that you give us the tools (knowledge & learning) then we are free to create items with our own spins on them! You are my hero! I love your brain lol your creations are amazing!!! Thank you!!
thanks so much for an amazing video 😁 im left hand so its better for me to actually watch someone do it rather than trying to convert a pattern so thank you very much 😁
Thanks Kristen for your great channel and sharing your knowledge and talent with us! So many idea's for creation is endless! You are a talented crochet GENIUS!!.. :-)
Im learning to sew and curtains are my going to be my first sewing project (besides practice), I am a pretty good crocheter though, so I think I can do a pretty edging to my curtains
Beautiful .. Could you please also show us what stitch to use when we need to sew an already crocheted lace as a rim to a napkin or a towel .. Thank you!
a beautiful pattern this ... jz wanted you to add one more possibility ... we here in India do such edgings on sarees ... I will try to do this for my next saree ... thanks for the tutorial ...
This is the nicest work I’ve witnessed thus far, and you chose beautiful contrasting yet complementary colors to teach us with. How would you suggest I learn to crochet and learn the terms such as chain 2 etc. etc. etc.....
Thank you very much! Please do you have any tutorial where I can learn how to make the armhole of a sweter smaller ? Like crocheting around? Thank you very much 😍
I have been looking for a crochet edging to add to a denim skirt I just made from a pair of jeans, and this one is just perfect! Also, I believe the type of needle you're describing that is needed for the initial blanket stitch foundation row is a chenille needle - it's a type of embroidery needle that has a large eye and a sharp point (unlike the usual tapestry needles we use in knitting & crochet).
Love your videos! But I have a question! I just finished a lovely wide crocheted edging, and would like to know if it’s possible to attach it to fabric with crochet instead of sewing it on.? No one seems to address this question! Help.. Thanks, ANDREA DERN \
I would be inclined to make measured marks along the fabric to know the distance is uniform right across before doing this. Especially as a beginner or first time at doing this.
Hi, thank you very much for that tutorial. I want to do that around table placemats (for a gift I promised to my aunt a couple of years ago). How would I do the corner. I noticed that when you did the very first row with a needle, you started in the corner. To do the border all around, where would you start and how do you do it in the corner at every row? Thanks in advance for your help and again for your very helpful tutorial!

Thanks for the great tutorial. I used this on fleece and it looked loose, so after I finished crocheting the number of rows that I wanted, I went back and reinforced the blanket stitch with clear silicone thread. It really made it more secure.

Great! I have a whole series of videos dedicated to left hand crocheters. Have you seen them?
I find it easier to work blanket stitch from left to right if you are right handed.
I do it the same way. That also makes it easier to create a marker on your pointer finger to ensure uou keep the measurement exact
Thanks Kristen for your great channel and sharing your knowledge and talent with us! So many idea's for creation is endless! You are a talented crochet GENIUS!!.. :-)

You can make some little marks on one of your fingers to help you keep the distance between stitches more regular.

I have a whole playlist called crochet on fabric. I have lots of patterns on this on my website too! Yes you absolutely can crochet right onto fabric.
Thank you, beautiful pattern. How do you turn corners for a square piece like tablecloth?
You will need to add corner increases to your crochet.
Do you have a video to actually show the foundation row of blanket stitches around the corners and then how to actually increase when crocheting.
I would be inclined to make measured marks along the fabric to know the distance is uniform right across before doing this. Especially as a beginner or first time at doing this.
Do what works for you! :)
Thank you very nicely explain
Thank you very much!
Just lovely!
+Theresia Smolevitz Thank you! xoxo, Kristin
WISH someone left handed would do this....confusing.. I'm trying to imagine doing it backwards but confusing. Thank you, looks Great
You can probably download the video an then flip it...then she will be left handed!
Oh man. I got all the way to the end when I realized that I did an extra scallop and it hangs way over the edge and I dont know how to fudge it.
Could you tack it down and sew it on top of another scallop?
Awesome great idea
Like from Brazil!
Thank you!
Thank you.
Perfect way of edging my dupatta.
Most welcome 😊
