- Finally some new content. I'm very hyped. And indeed, Adoration was a very good episode of Miraculous Ladybug. Filled with some premium angst, and pretty sweet moments, I actually enjoyed this episode. Good times. It's a shame that Zoe is still a major bystander though, even in an episode dedicated to her. And when is Chloe going to go away? Anyway, enjoy this review for Miraculous season five.
I'll give Zoe this though. She's better at confessing her feelings than Marinette.

zoe being confirmed as an 8th grader when the others are 9th graders literally confirms that audrey cheated on andré. i was hoping zoe was older so that wouldnt have to be the case. André is so wronged by his family, and is also quite mature about treating zoe like his own child after his wife cheated

I know right I mean it was like one minute you're seeing two lovestruck teens about to kiss and then the next thing is Gabriel doing 'peekaboo' jumpscare in the dark with very poor lightning like the creepy grown man he is. That had spooked for sure and it's not even Halloween yet
The episode wasn't all bad, but it has many inconsistencies, like Sabrina refusing to steal because everything her father taught her even though she has already stolen before, or Marinete present her room to Zoe saying that she has never been there even though she has been in the fourth season. It's like the people who wrote this episode were emergency newbies who didn't have time to rewatch the show 😅
And if we would talk about the real world, none of the accusations would last long. The first thing, the real police would do, is taking fingerprints. And i would bet, that there are only fingerprints of Marinette on the cloth of her Parent's bakery. Maybe on the instruments of their friends band. But that's it. And after that, the whole case would be crumbling down.
Also: I don't think an expellation from the school because of simple accusations would be possible

I really feel like Zoe having a crush on Marinette came out of nowhere. Same with Adrien liking Marinette in season 5. They deserve better! Also way too many people love Marinette!
On my opinion it doesn’t feel like it came out of nowhere unlike Adrian did, because Marinette was her very first friend and trusted her Marinette open Zoe up have her make more friends Marinette sign her shoes

nah, Zoe was always there with her sapphic chemistry with Marinette. since her introductory episode, her and Marinette had this awesome dynamic and were super cute and wholesome. Zoenette genuinely makes more sense than Adrienette

I know they just wanted to create drama, but seriously, how does everyone believe in Chloe without even a doubt and even expeling Marinette from school right away? How her own parents do not even doubt even though in the third season the same thing happened and it was proven that Marinete did nothing? They could at least remain serious in this scene. If I were Marinete I wouldn't trust any of these people in the same way anymore and would be very happy to leave that school...

He's a good guy who's too easy to persuade and who's so deathly afraid of disappointing his daughter and his toxic wife that he's willing to put aside morals to try to make them happy and love him. The mayor is kinda a tragic character in that way. It's his own fault, and yes it's horrible the things he'll allow to happen, but you've gotta kinda feel bad for him. His whole family only sees him as a tool / pet / way to raise their social status, and if he can't do what they want they'll hate him or abandon him for new York 😞
He’s a good person when not in the presence of Chloe or Audrey and is actually a caring father figure to Zoe despite being her stepfather cuz Audrey and Andre were still married when Audrey was pregnant with Zoe and is strongly implied that Audrey has an affair during her stay in NY and didn’t actually marry Zoe’s father Mr. Lee so it’s good that Andre doesn’t hold Audrey’s affair against Zoe cuz it’s technically not her fault.

Honestly I could see Marinette and Zoe as sisters before I saw them as dating. Their personalities are super similar.

Ever since someone somewhere suggested that Zoe was a time-travelling Emma Agreste that's ALL I've been able to see her as. As in "Zoe" got the cat miraculous and Plagg's loyalty so quickly because in the future she's the next holder, I saw her interaction with Scarabella as auntie-niece, and her interaction here as mother-daughter. I know it's not supported by the words spoken but I in my personal life want better family bonds so I see familial love everywhere before I ever consider romantic love (which is non- existent in our household so I wouldn't know how to understand it outside of reading stories.)
As for how if "Zoe" is Emma then how is she impersonating Audrey's daughter? Simple, as we see in this episode, Audrey can't tell anyone from anyone else. There probably is a real Zoe but Audrey would have forgotten her age and not contact her regularly enough to know that the real Zoe is still in New York. Therefore, I've been watching these 2 seasons expecting something to happen that "Zoe" intervenes and reveals herself but it didn't happen in Transmission so that fun idea has all but passed.
@@keriannekerr1876 The show has a serious writing problem when it comes to development and being convuluted (a dozen miraculous, Chloe's tossed redemption arc, Adrien's lack of screentime, Marinette being hypocritical, etc.), so I never would've gussed about the time travel theory. I usually don't indulge in theories without proof--and that goes DOUBLE for this show. My ideal version of this show would be vastly different from what it is now.
And question: since you said you can't understand the romantic feelings in the show, do you not enjoy romantic aspects in the media, and how do you feel about the show pushing Adrien and Marinette together?

Well if it was made correctly, this is a good way to make us hate chloe. Giving her no consequences to her actions. But I feel like marinette is a Mary Sue in this scenario. They are trying so hard to make her feel “victimised” to the point it’s not realistic. If it was more relastic like an investigation actually happened and all evidence points to marinette it would make more sense.

The funny part of Sabrina given the dog miraculous and that she was able to keep up was to really fetch the item to help frame Marinette

Except Marinette proves to be likable and kind to her friends unlike Velma. She makes mistakes, but she always tries to make things right when she feels she is in the wrong, she also does things for others, it's not always them doing things for her. Velma on the other hand is not only ugly, she's mean, selfish, a hypocrite, dumb, arrogant, egotistical, and so on and so forth, there aren't any good qualities about her, and they never give a valid reason for anyone to be friends with Velma let alone have a crush on her. Marinette having people like her is way more Believable

Interestingly enough that was indeed a flaw with her, but it's unfortunate that her stalking habits stopped when she simply had no time to stalk him, was trying to convince herself she wasn't in love with him, and when she finally got him. There could have been more growth, or her being held accountable for her actions
My issue with this episode was the lack of continuity with other episodes. Everything from Chloe suddenly being super-territorial about the hotel lobby to Vanisher suddenly becoming a willful pawn of Chloe and Lila instead of wanting to target *them* for revenge (Vanisher got her powers because she felt invisible) really seemed off from a character perspective. I get the idea they want to push is "adoration" can make you do some crazy things, but they really bent the characters to tell this story.
Plus, while LGBT rep is good, why does yet another character have to fall for Marinette? Wouldn't it have been more fitting if Zoe was actually into Sabrina and Marinette mistakenly *thought* the target of Zoe's crush was herself. Sadly that would have come from out of nowhere, but it would make sense if Sabrina and Zoe bonded over Chloe's mistreatment.
That's excactly what I was thinking, Zoe falling for Sabrina would actually make sense and unlike this, would probably be referenced in the future. Since Chloè is beyond redemption, they better have Sabrina break free from her, their relationship has become less "tsundere" and more "genuinely abusive".
If they wanted LGBT reps. Jule/Rose and Marc/Nate are right there, Juleka and Rose have had that energy ever since season 2 and they are amazing freinds to each other and are the only ones who understand each others conditions + Juleka feels comfortable around Rose in comparison to the rest of the class. Marc and Nate would make a good pair if they just got more screentime too.
I actually thought this show was against having LGBT representation, because Juleka and Rose were established as really good friends rather than lovers. Honestly, it felt like LGBTQ just didn't exist in this universe, like everyone was heteronormative regardless of how close a friendship they had. That was until Zoe showed up. I agree, having a crush on Sabrina rather than Marinette would have worked better.
If both Gabriel and Nathalie were to die I think Felix and Amelie will just move into the Agreste manor so then Adrien doesn't have to leave his friends and also so Felix can be closer to Kagami
That sounds amazing, but I don't want Natalie to die ..... She has done pretty unspeakable things but she deserves a second chance because she started to care a lot more for Adrien's happiness and wellbeing than Gabriel and his plans. He deserves to die

What I’d love to know is, on a practical level, what exactly was the point of this episode? They had already had ships that paired both Adrian and Marrinette with others only to sink them instantly after they came to fruition and have been fully headed towards Adrinette ever since to the point that the love square that contained only Marinette, Adrian and themselves was all that was left. So on a meta level what was the point of giving Zoe a crush on Marinette that had zero chance of happening this late in the game? Even if it was to give Zoe some substance, why have it be with a character that they aren’t already having tied up in their OTP?
Because they can't have rose and juleka be canon without losing the Chinese audience so the wanted to put a gay character in somewhere that would be easy to dub over

In my opinion, I think it was hinted in Transmission, Deflagration, and Perfection that Zoé was not happy with the Adrienette set-up and that might have hinted she had a crush on Marinette

Zoe's affection for Marinette came out of nowhere. We never saw that she was in love with her since she appeared, not even seeing her blush when she talked to Mari or being shy when they hold hands. Also, if the teen loved her all this time why she confessed only now? Zoe is not affraid of sharing her feelings with others. I don't know this character a lot but i'm sure the girl is brave. At least she isn't jealous of Adrien and won't forced him to eat with her like Chloe did, she is boring but polite 😂
zoe did actually blush a little in sole crusher when they first met, but even then just because someone doesn't blush or act shy around their crush doesn't mean they can't be in love? also im pretty sure that since zoe knew marinette was in love with adrien she probably thought she didn't really have much chance and so there would be no point in confessing + in the beginning zoe was going to give up on her at first anyways until andre encouraged her

I think their first interactions during Sole Crusher was pretty flirty ngl. I even shipped them a little bit back then. Also, I think Disney can't put it so openly and that's why she didn't blush and stuff

Vanisher using her new power was so cool. I hate that stupid people in Paris still believe Chloe. Zoe saying she had love at first sight is so BS because the signs would have been obvious from the start. I agree that Marinette & Zoe talking in her room all mature didn't feel like middle/high schoolers. Those Zoenette shippers will be going wild for this on Twitter sadly.

Zoe always had sapphic chemistry with Marinette imo. ever since her introductory episode, her and Marinette had this awesome dynamic where and were super cute and wholesome. Marinette helped Zoe settle into a completely new setting - a different country, new school, new people and helped her stand up to chloe's bullying and pretty much abuse. Zoenette genuinely makes more sense than Adrienette

i think adrienette is pretty similar though, marinette has been severely bullied by chloe for years and when she met adrien she assumed he was a bully too; but yet he was still kind and gave marinette his umbrella even though she misjudged him. i feel like that really touched her since he went out of his way to do all of that for her and she probably wasn't ever really treated with that amount of kindness before. but other than that though i agree!!

I'm happy Zoe is canonically queer because... yeah, duh, but it's so disappointing that her crush is Marinette. At the start of the episode I thought she was crushing on Scarabella giving how they flirted in Kwamis' Choice pt. 1, then Zoe blushed when she saw Marinette and Alya and I was so excited but then the show had to let me down like always. Not in a "waaah but muh ship" way, I just don't think Zoe's bond with Marinette is special in any way, I don't see any difference between they friendship and Zoe's interactions with the other girls in class, whereas with Alya she already had that moment as Kitty Noire

I'd say Zoe's feelings felt as abrupt as her sudden appearance in the show itself but they were handled in a somewhat more believable way. Nice to see André being a decent dad once in a blue moon though he's still such a pushover, sigh. Watch him completely flip and bend over backwards to satisfy Chloé's every whim the next time a chance presents itself. All in all, while I don't really feel one way or another about this development, I don't exactly understand what the purpose of this episode was. Could have used a stronger connection to the overarching plot, perhaps.

@@cheribitch5396 I disagree that Zoe is a Marry Sue because one of the problems she face is standing up to her half sister and at first she had a hard time fitting in saying she feels like she’s playing different roles and can never be her true self. She doesn’t have as much flaws as other characters in the series but she does have problems that she faces

To be honest the most sensible person in the show that’s left is Chloé… Like yeah marinette has proven time and time again that she is a terrible person and deserves to be exposed at least once, and Zoe is literally implied to be the daughter of Audrey’s affair with another man. Chloe disliking Zoe so much is actually very understandable in context
It would understandable to hate Audrey for cheating her dad. It would make no sense to hate the child that was in no ways responsable for that. Or even existed when it happened. Instead she worships Audrey and hates one of the VICTIMS of her affair (to the the bastard unrecognized child of an affair makes her a victim, getting the stigma and the lack of one parent growing up. Not that having Audrey as an active mother presence in her life would be an improvement, just look at Chloe…)

yes WE understand its the mom who is horrible and that zoey wasn't treated well and is just as much a victim of the situation...but on a emotional level it might have felt like the mom left due to zoey and it doesnt change from chloe's perspective zoey was with the mom while chloe wasnt.
not to mention zoey has returned and while chloe is still 100 percent in the wrong.....from chloe's perspective everyone in the class likes zoey better as well and zoey has kindness come more easily to her and has the understand that chloe doesn't really have.
chloe knows what kindness and goodness is in a way...but chloe honestly didnt REALLY understand it to the point some of her greatest progress wasthrough a butler helpig her to try to be nice to not disappoint her teddybear who in chloe's eyes was there for her properly. chloe at times WANTS to be good but doesnt GET it. and due to the influence of her parents burnsthe bridges of the few attempts to get through to her.

so your right that zoey doesnt deserve the hate from chloe...on the other hand emotions are not logical and from chloe's emotions zoey is better liked by theclassmates, has a easyier time understand stuff chloe struggles with and had the time with the mom and chloe had wanted and zoey's existence probably did cause a rift between the parents that probably made it easier for the mom to just leave.
WE see its obvious zoey wasnt treated well by the mom either...but its not like chloe actually really knows zoey very well...abd now zoey is here is paris and is better liked after chloe was already feeling at her lowest and doubling down and what she finds more familar for comfort after chloe was influence and cornered by hawkmoth into giving into him and betraying ladybug by a master manipulator...manipulating her feelings.

At first I thought it was nice to see Zoe finally have more development to her character, but then they turned it around to serve right back to Marinette confessing her feelings to Adrian. I get it it's a show all about them, but it would be nice if the writers could focus on their side characters instead of just making their development only to serve alongside the love plot. This kinda also came off as a bit queer baiting since OF COURSE the ship wouldn't sail.
Of course Zoe is in love with Marinette, who would’ve seen THAT coming 🙄 I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t add another wasted love interest character with no personality to fall in love with one of the worst main characters known to TV 😂❤
That’s wasn’t the point of what I said. There is nothing wrong with the concept it’s just the execution of these love-interest characters. Some if not all of them are just there to be in love with the main character and have no personality of their own. In fact, the main character also needs some work. also quick side note: Marinette is now getting development i just feel that it was a little too late for me to root for her anymore because all of the things that she did that was wrong and then some were even justified and not corrected when it needed to be. I feel like most of if not all of the writing for the characters, even the show itself is just forced and “development” only happens because the plot said so not because it was character driven.
Take Chloe for example. She had actual character development that felt organic to the character and the story. But the writers forced her character assassination all because the creator of the show hates her. Why give her development only to take it away in the end? It’s a waste of time when we could’ve had episodes to further develop other characters and the, I don’t know…. ACTUAL PLOT OF THE SHOW??? I mean the main love interest literally for most of the show was toxic and then all of a sudden it gets developed after 5 whole seasons of waiting for them to actually be a normal healthy couple and the writers expect people to care after waiting for something good to invest in? I also couldn't help but laugh when Gabe backed out in the shadows 😭 I'd say the episode was a bit messy with the pacing, but it was nice. It is kind of a big deal to have a girl confess to another girl on a kids show, and Miraculous is watched in the whole world, so I found that kind of a significant step from the Miraculous writers. There wasn't really a lgbt character explicitly stated (even though we know Juleka and Rose and the emo character that likes to write stories...). Yeah, it's a good thing.

It’s something annoying I’ve noticed when it comes to female friendships these days. Gals are naturally more outgoing and expressive, especially with their other gal friends. Can’t tell ya the number of times my friends and I were/are so open around each other in public. Yeah we love each other, in a very platonic way and don’t have any issues distinguishing friendship from romance, familial, etc.
However, these days no two characters can ever be purely platonic 🙄 I can see Zoe admiring and appreciating Marionette for being her first friend in France, but I really don’t like how they quickly turned those emotions from good friendship to crush levels 🙄 it’s so annoying to see and just adds to the nonsense of Mari being “oh so loved, and good, and pure” blah blah 😒

While it was certainly a little clumsy on the writing side, I don't think Zoe's feelings necessarily came "out of nowhere" like some seem to feel; it's fair enough if it really felt that way to them, but I feel like it was at least loosely set up for S5, even if not in S4 - her interactions with Marinette this season have always... stood out, in a way, and this contextualizes that for me
In either case, I do think the source of those feelings is reasonable enough, especially considering how I was as a teenager. I'd also like to add that, for what it's worth, I did stay friends with my own ex throughout high school as well

I get the feeling using an unrequited lesbian crush as a plot device for the advancement of straight couple is probably not going to go down too well with some lgbtq viewers, especially if Zoe liking girls just completely vanishes from the story, as that would likely meet the definition of queerbaiting the audience.
Hopefully the show follows through with a new relationship option for Zoe, even if it’s a subplot or background event. But considering how out of nowhere her crush was written, I wouldn’t be surprised for the writers to just as jarringly never write about it again.

I agree, I've been both the person who confesses and someone people have confessed a few times when i was in middle school and high school. In every one of those situations I've maintained friendships with them after the confession until like a natural drift has happened ( mostly people moving away/moving schools), or there was a fight for a different reason. But I think it comes down to the maturity and how much each person values the friendship.

Well there’s a reason for it. I’m very glad for you that your friendship was retained, though I have seen so many others destroyed because of a confession of feelings. Heck sometimes either the confesser or the one being confessed to gets treated like absolute garbage or ghosted completely.

Just to be clear: I don't mind Zoe confessing her love to Marinette here. I think it adds to both ladies their characters. However, since it's so close to the season finale and the confession is between her and Marinette, I do feel worried for Adrien. They've been trying to build up Adrienette for an entire season and it finaly got somewhere in this episode, so why did the writers add another love option for Marinette so close to the ending of the season? Why didn't they just confirm Rose/Juleka or Mark/Nath as couples, since it's been hinted at before?
In my tin foil hat theory, I'm afraid that something will happen to Adrien in the finale, so Adrien and Marinette will be unable to be a couple, so Zoe will step up and comfort her as a love intrest. Cause despite how nice Marinette has been, plague was the one who helped her stand up for herself. It only took a few exchanges of dialogues between plague and Zoe,then she was just able to drag Chloe back to her seat.
Also did you not notice how funny Gabriel was when he walked back into the shadows at the end. He was literally doing a tip toe walk🤣🤣🤣

I don't have a problem with lgbtq+ characters..., but I was nervous that it might come across as forced or unreal, but I was really surprised at how well they handled it. I'm not a woman or gay, but I thought it was quite authentic, so yeah, I thought that scene was really good
- the family scene with Gabriel and Nathalie was just great😂..., I love how Nathalie just keeps being the queen of the show. She was great👍🏼
- WOW. I'm so happy that we are seeing a lot from Lila this season..., she will most likely be the next big villain, so I'm glad that she's appearing more often before she gets that role..., cause in S4 we pretty much didn't see anything from her. Lila, yet again, proofs how smart she is...
- The dynamic between Chloe and the akumatized villain was really interesting. We never saw such a relationship between a akumatized villain and a human being. The first time we kinda had that, was in Oni-Chan with Lila and Oni-Chan
- Chloe was so funny😂😂😂, i know that it was supposed to be serious, since she accused Marinette of stealing those things..., but the way Chloe speaks and acts is just so funny to me...
- I really loved how Zoe protected Marinette..., (i did that once too for a friend of mine, yet i couldn't rely on Ladybug to save me😂)
- Okay, the ending was just INSANE, like what tf was Gabriel even doing😂😂..., the scene between Marinette and Adrien was really nice, real and actually cute😅..., and then Gabriel's voice comes in and I was like tf😂. And the way he moved in from the dark and just said NO with that odd facial expression and then moved back into the darkness, was just scary, creepy and i actually got goosebumps😂😂
And yet again I felt really bad for Adrien and Marinette, but I really liked how concerned Marinette was after that, like, you can really tell that Marinette cares for Adrien's safety.
The way Gabriel literally controls Adrien makes me feel so uncomfortable, like imagine being in love with someone that is controlled by his/her father..., so sad

I was asking because anytime I saw some episode, someone likes Marionette which confused me since they’d move on as if it never happened like it was supposed to be that ONE episode and one alone. Adrien popularity came from his ties with his father. Not much to question there. I do, however, think they made too excessive but I also feel as if they’re making fun of die hard fans? I’m unsure.
As for the others, I’m not watching this show the minute an episode comes out, so I don’t think I’ve seen anyone attracted to the side characters other than Nino and Aliya who are dating.

S5 has been nothing but plot convenience and outright pure stupidity. I just can't fathom how anyone could think this season is good (except maybe Passion and Jubilation). Seriously, ive reached the point where i watch the show just to give me confidence of my own writing skill. Cuz holy smokes, this is something that a group of professionals came up with
For people who'll argue that Zoe's crush on Marinette was a pointless development: you're missing the fact that it finally pushed Marinette into telling Adrien she loves him.
She needed to see how a confession of unreciprocated feelings is not the end of the world.
And as for the maturity argument, after everything she went through, how would Marinette not be too mature for her age? Season 1 Marinette might have fumbled the situation in a believable manner, but she has grown.
Zoé, who's in love with Marinette, shows no reaction whatsoever as Marinette keeps talking about Adrien with heart eyes and pictures of the boy pop out from everywhere in Mari's room.

In all honesty, I kinda rolled my eyes on the idea of Zoey being into marionette. I'm not being a dick, but it's most likely a one time thing that won't be mentioned later on, just for the sake of diversity.
When it came to the dad's advice on love, I cringed at it. This man both runs a hotel and is mayor, but he's such a weak man who spoils his legitimate daughter and cowers to his wife. If this is what love is about, romanticized abuse, I don't want it.
Weirdly enough, we get the literal opposite with Gabriel, who is controlling, overbearing, elitist, apathetic, and obsessive. The "I love you so I know what's best for you" type. Once again, if this is love, no thanks.
What I can believe this is the third or second time marinette been framed yet somehow her friends and family don't believe it's her and believe someone like chloe over her

Hey I'm a teenager boy and I'm 15 and i had a crush on someone that i could never be with and i did make the same confession as Zoe . The only difference was that he didn't hug but he consoled me (because i almost cried because of feeling guilty) and said that love is a natural feeling and I'm not guilty of anything❤❤❤❤

While I do think the crush Zoe had on marinette came out of nowhere. The whole confession scene I fell is realistic while uncommon. I say this because I experience this exact thing when I was in high school. A really good freind of mine (who is also a girl) confessed to me. I rejected her as I’m not interested in girls and already had a boyfriend but I knew it was something she had to get off her chest and we are still good friends to this day.
So I knew that Zoe liked Marinette before watching some of the newer episodes and I could see a little bit of hinting in the episode before this, but other than that, it was really out of no where. Her flirting a little with scarabella in a previous episode was actually a nice inclusion about her character that was surprising, but made sense.
I saw another comment saying this and I believe her feelings directed at another character would’ve been a better choice. I understand it Marinette because she’s the MC but like come on, she’s got everyone over her (Nathaniel, Nino, Adrien, Luka, etc) and that’s just of the top of my head. It would’ve been refreshing to see Alya be Zoe’s love interest instead of Marinette and we could’ve delved deeper into the previous but short-lived dynamic between their alter egos and see that play out in their suburban lives, even if it wouldn’t have worked out because she’s already dating someone.
And the confession scene was honestly horrible. It goes from marinette assuming it’s Adrien, to Zoe actually confessing, but then it’s back to Adrien again, like what? It would’ve been nice for that moment to be about them, possibly flashbacking to when Zoe realised, or them having a nice heart-to-heart about their friendship, and then afterward, Mari realises if Zoe can confess, so can she, but instead Zoe has to tell Mari this and it really cheapens the moment.
Side note: Finding out Mark and Zoe were both actually in year 8 was surprising, and makes me wonder if we delved (not really, but we did) about Zoe’s friends moving away next year, what about Mark and Nathenial? We could’ve had a nice moment in that Representation where they were holding hands, and after Mari leaves, they could’ve talked about the future. Honestly wasted potential.
Unless Zoe ends up with another young female character *cough* Sabrina *cough*, what was the point of making her gay other than to give her some personality. Even though having someone's sexuality being part of their personality feels like a 90s trope. I feel like it was a pointless addition to another LGBTQ+ character (even though Nathaniel, Marc, Juleka and Rose feels more like representation than Zoe in my personal opinion)
I remember they confirmed she was pan, it could be a blue haired guy know how to play guitar

Okay this is cool and all... but when are we going to get confromation in show that Rose and Juleka are dating like I'm sure they're suposed to be? You've crossed the line show now come on and do what we all want.
I also felt that Zoey falling in love with Marinette came out of nowhere.
But strangely, I can see it.
Marinette was her first friend when she arrived in Paris. In her eyes, she seems like an amazing person that helped her in her time of need. So maaaybe having a crush with her isnt the most surprising thing in the world for Zoey, after all, love is strange and it can happen when you less expect it.... also taking into consideration that she doesnt know too much (to the extent of her other classmates) about Marinettes...ummm you know weird stalking obssesion...
What I dont see realistic is how Zoey doesnt immediately back out or got super akward after seeing all the photos, magazines and umm the presents for every birthday....? (I swear what the hell Marinette). In real life any teenager would had AT LEAST started crying internally at how akward and sad its to see your crush having a crush with another person.
Even though I dont like Zoey (because she is just a filler character for the absence of Chloe with no personality whatsover...) I felt this episode was kinda harsh on her...also i dont even know why this episode even exist, after all, Zoey in the end still acts as If nothing have happend after she got rejected...which is strange...but whatever I wont keep questioning this
