Honestly, I'm happy about this video. Tsukasa is honestly my favourite character alongside Rui and I'm happy to hear someone's insight about him :D It's kind of like the feeling that you claim to like reading but then you realise there's a lot more to reading than just reciting words and then you realise that's why you like reading so much
I love this analysis SO much! I always viewed Tsukasa as a character far more than a flashy goofy sunshine character, and I enjoyed watching you explore and navigate Tsukasa’s journey and conflicts. It’s interesting to see tbh *all* of pjsekai’s characters go through their fair share of troubles and challenges, and seeing you explain that alongside the very well crafted songs is pleasing. Please more of this psycho-analysis esque videos!
I cannot believe I hadn’t run into this video until now, believe me when I say it is stellar! The introduction to the video had me on the edge of my seat to begin with, after all. Addressing the fact that Tsukasa’s storyline is a Man Versus Himself at the end of the day is something I’ve barely seen anyone do (hence, the distaste for Seibai’s event story, despite it doing it’s job). Tsukasa not being inherently talented will never not be one of my favourite facets of his character. The way you worded all the commissioned song analyses as well, stars, I love it! You managing to predict what Filament Fever’s event focused on (treading toward the future while still not forgetting the past - As this event story is where Tsukasa addresses the fact that he is only here due to what he had seen in the past, yet also taking a step forward by being accepted into the Nakayama movie production) definitely shows how well you understand this character. I’ve never seen anyone title filafever a splice between Tondemo and 88 before, it makes a strange amount of sense. The way you discuss Seibai’s purpose when it comes to Tsukasa’s story is a wonderful observation, I’d never thought of things that way and is a perfect route for Tsukasa to go in! The summary of his growth around the end was beautiful, and that Tsukasa6 prediction is certainly a natural way for him to go! Wonderful job! ⭐️
I do hope to see for the other two “Nene and Rui” as I did saw for Emu and Tsukasa that you did so well, and WxS are my top favs and I’m reading their event stories thoroughly, but your videos are just so nice and on point to let me understand them more
This is so good! You dug so deep into a characters story, it's so admirable on how observing you are! Keep up the good work :3 Edit: also from what I heard, the filament fever event is about him taking a side role and him sort of becoming him? Leading to the whole evil Tsukasa cards arc and the Nakayama au.
I hate commenting on a video twice but I have another theory regarding Tsukasa's cards. So uhm, here it goes. I'm sure we're all familiar with the trained cards for Tsukasa's focus events, right? There's the King of Smiles one, Torpe, yeah. But the more we go on, it's somewhat funny on how Tsukasa's focus event cards suddenly take a leap from this cutesy yet bright and happy theme(?) to this dark and somewhat evil atmosphere after the Torpe event, starting with the Hidden Circus card. In this card, the set itself is dark and just malicious in some way, completely contrasting to the other cards that appeared before this one. The lighting is dim, there's a lot of cold colours present, it's just 'eerie' in some way. Then we have the other sets, the Nakayama event and the 'Seibai ItaÄ̶͕͋Ã̸̱̭A̸͔͍͑͂Ḁ̵̉͘Ã̵͎su!' card. Both feature Tsukasa with red eyes and also a way more dark and monotone setting, often associated with evil. My theory is, as Tsukasa continues his journey, he becomes a way better person, but in exchange of this, his feature cards became more dark. Another theory is that this is to contrast the to, similar to a filter, the good qualities tend to go to his actual character instead of his cards and the negative qualities went to the trained cards. This can mean that Tsukasa is slowly starting to realise his negative qualities and start to finally learn from this, the trained cards being a reflection of his bad qualities. Which could add onto this videos title, 'How Tsukasa is His Own Worst Enemy'. The Trained cards could be the 'villain' and the actual character is the 'hero'. He has to realise the villains weakness in order to defeat it and my theory is that his cards will only get more and more dark till the end where the falling action or resolution happens/ I don't know, just a cool detail that's probably unintentional. Thank you for listening to my TedTalk. But hey, that's just a theory, a PJSK card theory.
Can you make one about how WxS is important to all of them? You already kinda said it here. U can read translations of rui bloomfes side story (they already exist so yippie) and our happy ending
