    I passed the 3 year mark of doing the WHM breathing everyday and it has changed my body and my life. I don't think I'll ever stop. Thank You Wim, so much love

      What are the benefits and charges you have. Will be great if you can share. Thanks.

    • @_MasterP
      @_MasterP Рік тому +56

      @@roselinesuki6931 sure, this is my experiences doing 4 rounds per session. I found very quickly (4 days to 4 weeks) inflammation reduced in my body (for me, gums & abdominal) and I had more mental clarity around emotions and thought. After maybe 3 or 4 months the fat on my body completely rearranged and was in the places it's supposed to be and not where it isn't. All bodily systems seem to get into harmony and your health gets more and more solid overall. I can genuiniely feel my cardiovascular system has Greatly improved. When around people that are sick with cold flu etc, I never get ill.
      The charges... you HAVE to make the time, but it's only 15-20 mins (I now do 20-30 mins) and, I feel, WHM breathing is an energy practice, so be prepared to undergo some changes as you readjust to your body having a nice ctrl+alt+delete reset everyday.
      I have experienced and heard of others who say their ears ring more often (I've had that most my life) but it's momentary and doesn't do any harm or damage.
      The only other thing, if you are to take it seriously, is to know you start to use your heart alchemically. You should feel things easier to cope with emotionally and less anxiety in general, which can feel abit weird at first if you worry about things that's all!
      Hope this helps :)

    My first time ever trying the Wim Hof method (2 days ago), I was able to hold my breath for 2 minutes, couldn't believe it, second day 2:30 minutes. First day cold shower, I didn't do the breathing prior, I struggled to stay in the cold shower for 30 seconds, second day, I did the breathing first, then easily did 2 minutes in the cold shower. Today is my 3rd day (and my 4th day of Fasting). I fast quite often and I have to say, doing the 4 day fast this time has been extremely easy - I have had so much energy - doing intense cardio sessions in the Gym with 3 days of no food. Unbelievable. I can't wait to work myself upto having the Ice Bath in the middle of winter. I wish I found Wim Hof years ago. Thank you Wim Hof.

      @Ronathon02 - one more thing I forgot to mention. Try fasting over the weekend for your first 3 day fast, that way you don't have to worry about work, maybe start on a Thursday night (after dinner), then eat again on the Sunday night.. But try to do something to keep your mind busy and active during the fast.

    I have experienced that when I sometimes have too many thoughts spinning around during the retention phase it automatically gets shorter, whereas when I am not distracted by the mind and just follow the feeling I can hold the breath for a bit longer. I think that length & quality of holding the breath also very much depend on how busy your mind is with thoughts and how much you follow the actual feeling.

      Think of the both as a tool to cleanse your body.
      The breathing exercise is a broad sword. It will always have an impact in cutting through your emotional baggage/traumas. A broad sword will always have some kind of effect, that’s why is easier and more suited to our western culture.
      Meditation however is more like a scalpel. It usually takes more time and care but you can be way more accurate and aware of what you are doing within yourself. But that takes time to learn. Training, in a way. In the end a scalpel can have the same impact as a broad sword tho.
      Hope that helps.

      @@joannakd5479 that is the purpose, you are putting your body into a stress response state and then training it to calm itself with the breath hold and mind relaxation. the benefits of the breathing also include the alkaline cleanse of your blood and reset of your system. so do not fight the anxious feelings when breathing, accept it and let it flow through you, then enjoy the peace of the breath hold and breath it all out once more.

    I have a question for all you amazing people doing the breathing exercise everyday.
    I have been doing the Wim Hof method for going on about 2 years now, and I've only made it to 2:17 ONCE. And to be honest, I was distracted by Wim talking (on the app the first time), and wasn't thinking about how long it had been. That seems to be what pulls my brain back to thinking most of the time. (How long has it been?) It's a fraction of a second thought, but it snaps me back to trying to hit an imaginary mark, and therefore, thinking, about the times. And it messes with my state of, not thinking? Presence? I don't know what to call it lol My avg breath hold (retention) based on what the app says, is anywhere from 1:30-1:45. I usually get 2 minutes on round 3 almost every time. (The last round) Also, I'm doing the BREATHING before bed (3 rounds, 30 breaths) and in the morning. (3 rounds, 30 breaths) After experimenting with more rounds for a while & more breaths, That's what feels good to me. (No forcing) I've been doing it twice a day for about 6 months, but at least once a day for almost 2 years. I also take an ice bath EVERY DAY. In the morning after my breath work. For about a year now. I'm up to about 10 minutes every morning.
    The myriad of benefits I have come across are almost too long to list. I won't do it here, I'll spare you all lol 😆 this is already long as hell & I'm assuming you know most of them anyway.
    All that to say, I want to improve my holds/retention times. I wanna hit 3 minutes. But when my body starts to feel what I can only describe as immense pleasure & tingling during a hold, (about 1:30-2:00 in) it's almost as if fear, anxiety etc.. makes me inhale and I always feel like I could have done a little more. I'm afraid I'll pass out, and my brain, no matter what I do, goes into what I like to call, "INHALE NOW" mode. Like a subconscious, uncontrollable, state of panic, or fear, that I feel, if I kept going, I would be forcing it. As we all know Wim says "NO FORCING!" But would I be? Really? Or is that a trick or the mind???
    After all this time, I feel like it's finally time to get past it, and hit that 3 minute mark. ANY help or advice to improve the times is super appreciated, and I'm very grateful for your help.
    And if it's a lot to type, or anything like that, I'm down to have a voice conversation maybe on Instagram? I dunno. I'll leave it to you guys. Let me know. And thank you in advance for your time and help.
    And if anyone wants any other info before answering, I'd be happy to reply with whatever you want to know.
    Thank you all!
    All the love, all the power. ❤

      You still come across as very ambitious while beeing rather unrelaxed.
      The key for me is this: mind control and calmness. The more you think, the more oxygen your brain eats away. Feel deep into your body, enjoy the sensations and learn to control your thoughts by focus on your feelings and awareness. It's not a race to the 3min mark. It's more like a "Oh, we're already past that? Didn't notice the time flying by..." cheers!

      @franksixer Рік тому

      @@dustrider9306 Thank you man. I appreciate the compliment. I'll try to only feel my body more, I completely understand what you saying about the feeling being an awareness. I know it's an ongoing process, just like the 1 min mark, and the 2 minute for that matter. I'll get there eventually. Believe it or not, just writing this comment out gave me a little bit more confidence and going a tiny bit longer, and I'm averaging about 2:05 now. Thank you for answering, and sending your positive vibes my way. I'm very grateful.

    My question is: Do you take a break between the rounds? After you hold your breath for 15 seconds and slowly let the air out, do you do the next round right away?

    • @julian444
      @julian444 Рік тому

      He has breath along videos on youtube, pretty sure after that 15 second recovery breath you start straight away with the new round tho. But look them up, he has them in multiple languages as well, if you want something different from English haha

    • @PrimoStracciatella
      @PrimoStracciatella Рік тому

      @@julian444 I've watched those videos and posted the same question in the comment section of two videos, no replies. I guess you're right, if he doesn't mention a break then there's not supposed to be one.
      When I started the method I breathed 30-35 times for three minutes; after holding it and breathing in again, the effect was so strong that I felt the need to "recover" for a minute or two before starting the next round.
      Well, in this video Wim says to listen to your body, to do it the way it feels right for you, which is different for each of us.
      I just wonder if anybody is also taking a break or if I'm the only one.

    I don't understand what I am doing wrong.
    I train Wim Hof breathing now daily for over 90 days and I barely reach the 1,5 min mark breath holding. Sometimes not even the 1 min mark and I never got longer than 1,5 min. I watched several times in other videos how Wim Hof is breathing in and how I should release the air without pushing, so that I breath in more air then I release. But whatever I do, I always reach the point of uncomfortable asphyxiation-feeling around 50-60 seconds and at the latest at 1:30 min I HAVE TO BREATH or I pass out.
    Any one any ideas what I am doing wrong? ):

      It's normal, don't worry about that, I think wim is talking about the 2-3 minutes when you do multiple rounds... You can try and see how you do. For me on the 5th round I used to do around 1:50 and my average according to the app is 1:24, so don't worry, you are not alone :D
