Highlights include SHOPPING! Everything else pales in comparison. But there's also some tight platforming, fun with special weapons (isn't there always?), an unconventional fight with Cloud Man, and an impromptu ballet of pain in the Robot Museum.

Junk shield is the PERFECT combination of dust crusher and power stone! Making for some surprisingly good showoff potential.
Interesting! Never thought of it as part Dust Crusher, but the resemblance is definitely there.

Actually the two empty glass containers in the boss room probably contained Wood Man and Cut Man considering you can fight them in MM8 for the Saturn.

The more I rewatch these, the older I feel.

I knew you'd reference the whole rampaging through the "middle" of the city thing. I always find things like that to be quirky.
Also, really nice job with Mash. He always gives me trouble. I'm not a fan of bosses that use bouncing attacks to begin with, I always find them too random.
Thanks! Bouncing isn't a problem; it's bouncing boss + bouncing projectile (his head) + specific weak spot (his head) that makes him more trouble than necessary.

I think the broken stasis tubes in the background belonged to Cut Man and Wood Man since you can fight them in Mega Man 8 for the Sega Saturn.

Junk Shield is really, really good. It's not one of the best shield weapons in the series but THE best.
Jewel Satellite in MM9 is superior thanks to its deflection powers and ability to hold up indefinitely against weaker enemies, but Junk Shield is easily the best up until this point in the series.
Looking back on it, actually, I’m very surprised that Capcom hasn’t represented Mega Man 5 as much as the other games. Sure, its weapons are unorthodox and clunky to use (not unlike Mega Man 10), but aside from the concepts of the famously-larger buster shot and Beat as a character, I’m disappointed its representation only stays limited to its legacy collection. It didn’t even get a proper representation in Smash Bros.!

Mega Man 7 does have really nice backgrounds. Mega Man 8's backgrounds are ridiculous, though. Also, I know you don't like Proto Man's whistle in Mega Man 8, but what about in 7?
One of the problems I have with MM8 in general is that, visually, there's too much going on. MM8's the only whistle I have a problem with; I'm cool with all the others.

so Wiley breaks into the museum, and only steals Guts Man? I'm sure he could've activated the rest of the Robot Masters while he was there.
It's likely that all robot masters were just empty shells, and need new circuitry and stuff to be "reactivated". He stole guts man because he's his favorite.
I love the Robot Museum idea, but it does raise a whole heap of questions. I'm inclined to agree with Erick, though the backstory for MM&B makes it sound like the robots just need to be turned on and then they're ready to take over the world.
I'm not a massive MM nerd like you are, so you're most likely right. Maybe they were different museums and this one strips them, and MM&B one is lazy and just tossed them in.

My Little Pony is a fandom like anything else, and like anything else, too much of it can be a bad thing; oversaturation is not necessarily an indicator of poor quality. I think Sailor Moon would be well suited to a crossover game, though I'd rather see more official Mega Man titles made with the same amount of love and care as the fangames!
Ante Vistica Just because MLP got more crossovers than just about anything else doesn't mean it's of poor quality. Mega Pony probably had more effort put into it than Mega Man 10. Lacks in music originality, yes, but it doesn't completely recycle enemies from past games or use past Robot Masters because its lineup wasn't original enough. Crossovers are more signs of continued fan interest in a series than a sign that a "cult" is destroying the world by "poisoning" it with new ideas. If a series gets a fanmade crossover or game, that's about the ultimate sign of a permanent fanbase.
Ante Vistica I agree with your points to a degree...I do prefer fan made game that have a feel of originality as opposed to the many "hacks" that exist that merely have an insane difficulty level just to say it's "original." The only exception to this, IMO, is Mega Man Ultra, but even it felt like an original game outside of the recycled bosses from MM2.
Maybe I should have posted my original statement on the GCDotNet page under the Mega Pony videos. I was just merely saying that there is a HUGE following for Sailor Moon (besides myself), & it deserves a fan made crossover/game, too. I would work on it myself, but I don't have the time or the skills to do so.
GintaPPE1000 I find it hard to sympathise with your argument since you said MM10 didn't have heart. Otherwise, I agree with your statement and like how you made it sound inoffensive (for the most part).
But Mega Man 10 was designed for nostalgia, and thus more thought went into gameplay than storyline. That's the problem I have with it, especially since Capcom already proved they could design a game that excelled in both with Mega Man 9.
