Omg! I visited this on the weekend and I blown away. Food tasted like grandmas cooking. Definitely the Menudo is my favorite ❤
Glad you loved it!
Love it,,,,my good friend,,,its not the only buffet in town,Traditional Mexican families have buffets every day at home,, called dinner
I grew up on a red dirt farm in Georgia, but when I returned from Vietnam in 1969 I was stationed at Fort Bliss Texas in El Paso. That began my love affair with Mexican food. Your meal looked wonderful.
Wow. True legend, thank you so much for your service. I hope you have a nice new year!
@xc7525 Thank you. Every day God gives me is a blessing. Hope yours is a good one also.
That is an incredible story. Thank you for sharing!
@@habakkuk4711 🙏🙏
El Paso! Did you have Mexican food or Mex Tex?
Great video! Mex meatballs soup is called adbondigas. Put celantro onions and lime and chilies in your menudo, makes a world of difference!! I'll have to try this place.👍
Thank you for the tip!!
Hope you enjoy
That meatball stew is called Albondigas!!! Lol
Thanks!
@@armandofernandez4204 Yes, I learned that word in middle school when I took Spanish, it means meatballs in Spanish. Lol
Hi there! Chile Rellano is usually a pablano pepper. Yum!
Thank you!
It's chile relleno.
Paul & Amy, Happy New Year. This was a GREAT video, and I have to try this place this weekend. It looked like being at Mom's house, they wanted to load up your plate and make sure you were full. No matter how many times you said that's enough!
😆 🤣 you're so right
Hope you enjoy it!
12:49 THATS MY BOY ALESSIO IN THE BACK YEAAAA🔥🔥❤️❤️
Awesome!!
People at the restaurant were very nice
I saw a video for the Sunday Brunch at lL Toro E La Capra that looked really good too. Thanks for checking out this new one.
That place has been on our list. We'll have to check them out!
@bestfoodreviewroadtrip7612 The one I was thinking of was Los Cucos Mexican Cafe Explore Vegas did, and it appears they are gone already.
Buffets are BACK baby! Across the country, Buffets are now making a comeback due the price value.
Hope you are right!!!
We enjoyed this one
Just amazing food. Everything made fresh daily. No frozen food used. No microwaved food!!!
We agree, it's really wonderful
I live in Northern Mississippi which has several Mexican buffets, usually priced around $18 per person. I was shocked to see no shrimp dishes, no guacamole, and most importantly, no queso!! The best part of an all you can eat Mexican buffet is all you can eat queso and guacamole, lol!
This looks more like traditional Mexican food
This is more authentic than what we often find in a lot of Mexican food restaurants. It was a real treat to try some of these dishes
I may try them out at some point when in LV.
Yeah we don’t eat queso here on the west coast that’s more of a Tex mex thing. More traditional Mexican food here in California, Nevada and Arizona and that’s what this food is.
@@patriciap9307 Well I’m from Colorado and are authentic Mexican food looks totally different there in the city. I’m from his probably 70% Hispanic. I grew up on Mexican food, so Mexican food is very regional from people from different regions of Mexico. There’s a lot of the same foods but they’re always new ones if you’re on the coast of course you’re going to have shrimp.
So many people uneducated on Mexican cuisine. Amazing to me. I am not Mexican but do believe in learning about the culture of the food I like to eat.
One of the reasons we love traveling is trying new cuisines
Flecha also has a buffet on the weekends.
Good to know!
Glad to see this daily option open
Born and raised Vegas here, there used to be a restaurant here called “Ricardo’s” and they had a FABULOUS lunch buffet sooooo good miss that place but anyways, I’m so excited for this! Gotta try it!
Thank for the content! ❤
You're so welcome and thanks for watching.
We're relatively new to the area and are loving the choices
@
Check out Sabatinos pizza! So good! 😊
that is a big bonus to eat Mexican buffet. l agree, you never come across. l bet it was all pretty flavorful. Not sure if l'll ever make it back out to Las Vegas again, but good to know that there's a buffet out there for Mexican
It really is a great buffet!
I'm Mexican, so to me it's something that we grew up on. We're going to Vegas in April, so we'll give this place, a try. It looks delicious and authentic. Thanks for the reviews.
We hope you enjoy it! The family running the place is delightful 😊
Thanks for the video. Happy New Year!
You too! Hope you had a great one.
Thank you so much for the suggestion! :)
Hope you enjoy!
4:16 I'm right with you, Amy, I've never seen a Mexican buffet.
This one is on my list, no doubt!
As always...
... stay classy!!! 😆
The masa is nice and thin, just how I like it. That’s what my daughter is making for our dinner tonight, tamales. Food looked good.
Sounds yummy!
I have visiting Mexico for 50 years and I have lived here for 9 years now so I just wanted to say I Hope you enjoy the food.
We were very impressed with the selection and the quality of the food!
We love Mexico and hope to be able and plan another trip there at some point soon
14:00 chicharrones with salsa verde is amazing with some scrambled eggs for breakfast…
Sounds awesome!
Wooow amazing 🎉
For the love of god, someone tell them it’s called masa 😂😂😂 killin me with the ‘cornmeal.’
😆 we try ... thanks!
😂
La vencida has buffet . The meatballs are usually more soupy with spicy broth
Is that every day?
I thought they only had a weekend buffet
@ my mistake
Happy New Year guys! That looked pretty good, no way would I eat those chicharones but the other food looked good.
Happy new year to you too!
The texture was a bit strange and apparently we need to learn how to pronounce "chicharone"... 😆
Great video as always, I'll need to check out that buffet next time I'm in Vegas. Also, the Chile 'relleno' is pronounced 're-yeno'. 😅
Thank you and hope you enjoy
I love that the staff is doing most of the servings one time I went to a Chinese buffet, and I saw a person dig all of the beef out of a beef and broccoli and I haven’t returned to a buffet sense because it stresses me out too much to see how greedy people were lol
Excellent point
It's probably more hygienic as well
We watch
Every
Day
It tickles
My heart
Thank you!
Happy New Year. Thanks for another awesome video
Thanks, hope you enjoy it!
I make a spicy chicken gravy to put on my tamales. Delicious
Sounds wonderful!
That looks amazing, but I'd be asking where the sour cream, hot sauce and guac are!
It was great despite the lack of condiments 😆
BYO Hot sauce
@@peeeeyton Lol! I guess that's one way to remember you're not actually in Mexico where it's on every table.
@Turkey U dont eat most Mexican food with sour cream, hot sauce and guac like if ur eating nachos or a burrito lol. A lot of these stews are made with chili peppers, so they have a bit of heat to them already. Adding those condiments u listed ruins the stews. Stews condiments would be a little cilantro, a little diced raw onion, lime, crushed pepper flakes and sometimes oregano.
@@theejayzeeable In the town I stay in when I'm in Mexico, there is hot sauce on every table and many things come with sour cream and guac or the option to have them. The only thing I don't need more heat on is their prawns because my favourite place makes them gorgeously spicy. I put sour cream and guac on almost everything down there other than seafood. That's how I like it.
Flawless pronunciations😂 chick-a-roni's, rey-lanos, vayer-day. Food looks good. Thanks for the content.
We'll work on that 😆
Looks good, will try asap
Happy new year
@@clydesdalecityhappy new year
Try El paso Texas there's a lot of Mexican buffets here. Then go into Juarez and the taste is way better. See u here for a great bite
We drove through that area awhile back and wished we had spent more time exploring. Maybe we'll plan a trip that way again
Always fun finding new places to dine in. Wonder how long they remain successful with those meat heavy menu selections?
Oh but the meat was so good!!
The meatball stew is actually a soup called Abondigas. Very easy to make at home. Menudo also very easy to make.
Thanks!
We've never tried it before
We've got an amazing Mexican buffet here in town. I love it.🌮
The food looks good plated but the line reminds me of the Vegas Vacation film buffet.
😆 you're so right!
"I'll take some of the yellow" 😆
Oh thanks. I have seen a couple of things about this place. Great vid.
Thanks!
We hope you enjoy it
very different i must say happy new year guys from NZ
Happy New Year to you too!
this would be worth a trip to vegas. mexican food is my fave, i could easily eat my weight in tamales!
It's like eating at Abuela's ❤️
@@bestfoodreviewroadtrip7612 my abuela is cuban haha, so it won't be like eating at my abuela, our food is entirely different. but being born and raised in LA.. yeah, i'm basically half mexican at this point. i love mexican food more than cuban food. sssssh, don't tell my mom! i cook authentic mexican food, so we'll see how i find this buffet. fyi. "relleno" isn't the name of the chili, those are chiles poblanos. relleno in this context means spanish for "stuffed" basically. so the chiles are rellenos. meaning just "filled or stuffed". not correcting you meanly like others were. just giving you some clarification on what re-yeah-nos are (two LLs together makes a Y sound in spanish). hope this helps without any shade to you.
eta: chicharrones is like ..chee-cha-RO-nays (that's the best way i can type it. it's more like nes)
just so people dont make fun of how you say things. i think this was a nice review and i subscribed.
@SoCalCubanGrrl You're just looking for an excuse to come to Vegas because SoCal has a ton more Mex restaurants than Vegas does lol.
Happy New Year’s Eve
You too! Hope you had a great night
❤ BUFFET LOVER
❤ MEXICAN FOOD
❤ CHILE RELLENO
👍 Paul's HAT
I also prefer to SERVE MYSELF at a buffet! DRINKS INCLUDED!! While it may be somewhat limited ... it still looks satisfying. YES, where is the GUACAMOLE, CHEESE, and SOUR CREAM for those CHIPS???
agree, a buffet is best when you can serve yourself
There is another Mexican buffet it is called El Maguey it is in Baton Rouge Louisiana near Arkansas it is bigger and has so much like Jam Pack with choices 🌻🌻🌻
Sounds delicious!!!
I gotta check it out when i go out there this year
Hope you enjoy!!!
Great video, Gracias
Gracias for watching!
A estas 2 personas les gusta vivir y disfrutar de la vida.
Si! ❤️
fun couple... dude is funny and animated.
Aww thank you so much!
We get enthusiastic about for and beer 🍺 🤪
It'd be great if they used the birria juice left at the end for birria ramen! Glad to see you liked the chiccarones verdes!
Birria Ramen is the bomb
Try Panchos Mexican buffet in Texas in the cities of Arlington Texas or Fort Worth Texas hands down better then the one in Vegas check it out . Houston has one also
Amy remembers Panchos and their sopapillas!!
Definitely going to take a friend with me to check this joint out
We hope you enjoy!!
No sauce for chili rellano ?
Not offered 🫤
That was Carnitas and not carne asada. And a little bit rude on the second round and you called something “disgusting” btw love The Depeche Mode shirt
Actually, it was asada de puerco, the word asada through me off
What about Flecha? Not considered full Mexican?😊
Is that every day?
I thought they only had a weekend buffet
Only Sunday brunch
Happy new
Happy New Year to you too!
The citrus tasting salsa is a tomatillo based salsa. The tomatillo has a citrus taste. The red looking one looks like a chipotle salsa.
Thanks!
We liked them both
Wow! Thanks for checking this place out.
ETA: the negative comments on this video are cracking me up. Another LV channel had a great tip that the best “ethnic” restaurant food tends to be rated 3.5 on yelp because the highest rated is usually more Americanized.
They are probably spot on about reviews. We take scores with a grain of salt.
People like what they like, and unfortunately, sometimes that's not authentic ethnic food
We prefer to try it all and be honest about flavors but also the overall experience
@sarabrucker It's true. Ignorant people are asking about sour cream, salsa and guac for the stews like if theyre eating nachos or a burrito lol. Stews condiments are a little chopped cilantro and onion, lime, crushed pepper flakes and sometimes oregano.
Flecha ia Excellent, Buffett only weekend or just Sunday, I don’t remember the exact day for buffett
We'll have to check that out!
Marky Mark knows Mexican buffet on weekends. Donnie Wahlberg.
Donnie is his brother
Thank you
Hope you enjoyed the video!
So while they dont have lobster tails, shrimp, or prime rib steak
the food is very good and not expensive at $22.99
and its all great food
You got that right!
It was really unique and delicious
Do we have to bring our own guacamole and sour cream?
Honestly it didn't need it. The food is delicious
No salsas?
They were at the end of the buffet. Amy put two kinds on her plate
We eventually got there
First time viewer, you should never say something looks disgusting infront of the people working there. Extremely disrespectful
We are careful to share criticism when staff aren't nearby. If that didn't happen this time, we apologize.
We do our best to be honest with viewers.
Despite appearances, the food was delicious!
17:04 glitch in the matrix , girl in the background appears twice lol
😆 right???
That disgusting thing was Rajas con crema. Usually poblano peppers cut up in strips, some ppl add corn, and sour cream with condiments like onions and garlic. So so good! She should have tried the disgusting thing 😂 sometimes its the most delicious 😊❤❤
You're absolutely right!
We found most of the things in the buffet were delicious
@bestfoodreviewroadtrip7612 ❤️
Texas has Panchos Mexican Buffet
Amy used to go pancho's in the 80s when she lived there! Can't believe it's all around
This restaurant used to be in Deming NM
Interesting!
Bro there's a few my boi
This is the first time Paul made me “yuck”. Stomach doesn’t sound good! Sorry Paul. I love fried pig skin! Happy New Year 🎊 🎉
😆 Amy was like, nope.
Is chile relleno 😋
😆 thank you!
WHAT? No sour cream or guac? That is sinful! I am so picky when it comes to Mexican foods. I would do the Fajitas, Tamale, no Enchiladas on the buffet? Tsk tsk. Maybe they switch up the dishes on a daily? So much missing on the buffet. Happy New Year! 🍻
It's less "American" than so many restaurants and we appreciated the authentic dishes despite the lack of condiments 😆
Pork ribs in green sauce, not asada, good try, though the salt in the food accumulative could be a big problem !
The sign over it said adada and we were confused 😕
Meatball soup is albondigas. Chile Relleno (ray en o)
Thank you!
RAY-YAY-NO
It's "ray yen yo"!!
I think the people standing behind the counter helping should have tortillas and different things throughout the buffet, and they need to think about the way they lay out the Buffet so that they can help people make good food choices and help them put their plates together in that regard. Otherwise, people are taking more food and they can eat, and they’re not just going to sit there and eat a plate of meat, five kinds of meat, and nothing else.
If they made some of those changes and help people decide on how to put their plates together for what they want to eat. They wouldn’t run out of food early because why would you charge people the same price for half the food choices? A cup of meatball soup, a cup of Menudo. They don’t need those big bowls. Unless that’s all their eating. Huge waste of good food.
We thought the portions they served were too much as well
The tamale uses masa not cornmeal. Are you from the East Coast? Lol
Yes, masa! Thank you
Just reminds us of cornmeal
Thank you for the video. 😊 You are a cute couple. 😊.The food doesn't look appealing though. Agree with your wife I don't like soggy food.
Thanks for watching! We try to be honest about the food. 😋
@bestfoodreviewroadtrip7612 welcome yes so glad you are honest 😊.
Actually there's 3 more Mexican buffets in LV. Just not this extensive. This has to be the biggest one. It looks good. I would go there.
Are there others that offer a daily buffet? It's the only one we found in our research. Some restaurants only offer buffet service on the weekends
@@bestfoodreviewroadtrip7612 I was just looking at them, This is the only one that have an all week buffet. Those other 3 only provides weekend buffets.
How about the address or do I missed it
It's in Henderson
We found it on Google maps: Cactus Mexican Buffet
Thanks Sunset and Verde Valley
Bro you forgot the other ingredients for the foods like onions for menudo
We aren't always knowledgeable of all the ingredients and do our best
Went there today, January 2, 2025. Overpriced for what is a very limited selection. Nothing special, no beef dishes, no tacos, no enchiladas. Potatoes added to eggs and chorizo. You're served cafeteria style, so every time you want to get another plate, you'll be standing in line. Food tasted okay. Overall, I don't plan to return. There are better options available.
Their options are breakfast and lunch so we also noticed none of those items were offered
The dishes we tried were really good!
YOU GUYS NEVER SAID THE LOCATION OF THIS BUFFET ❓❓,,, OR DID I MISS THAT PART ❓
It's in Henderson, Nevada
Technically in Henderson
Re - La - no 😂😂😂
😆 thank you
So surp🎉rised that I didn't see some normal Staples like tacos, enchiladas and or nopales. Food didn't look very enticing.
It is a breakfast and lunch location
Despite the lack of those items, what we tried was really delicious
It's Vegas and sure,it's not Hatch red or green or southwest influenced it Mexican Buffet. I'll go for menudo Samuel in Vegas Nevada from Vegas New Mexico
It’s true, the flavors are different but we were surprised by how much we enjoyed it!
Where was cheese dip
😆 right?
I think you are expecting Tex Mex.
I’ve lived in Vegas for 31 years. I pride myself on never having gone to a buffet here. No shade meant. Just can’t do it. Yet, this Mexican one I could. Except, no guacamole…ummmmm? No. COME ON!
That takes a lot of self control with so many buffets available!! 😆
I know why aren't there more of the mexican buffets? Food is relatively cheap to cook. Just don't get it. Bad management?
Right?
We could eat Mexican food every day!!
the southern part of mexico does not spice their foods, more bland like the meatball stew :)
Interesting!!
That’s why you’re shaking there’s no alcohol lol
😆 you know it
Whooooooooooooaaaa need to try this place out!!!!
Get onto
Pierce
Morgan
Tv show
🙌
Unless it's any kind of soup
Good point
chich a rones thats the pronounced way not chicka rones lol
We try...
Yes, good try, chi cha rones in green sauce, my favorite ! But we Mexicans tend to over salt our dishes.
To my Mexican ppl (as am I)....ok...yes they demolished pronouncing the food names, yes saying "that looks disgusting" while in the buffet line was cringe AF, BUT.... this is what non-mexican ppl say behind our backs when we're not around so at least they're going on camera AND they are spending their money and obviously telling others that might have never heard of this restaurant before this video!
Rey-EH-no, not Re-la-no; and CHEE-cha-rrone, not Chick-a-roni
Thank you! We're trying 😆
I like chick a ronn , the way you said it better 😂 seriously, I am a Spanish speaker
Missing Chile y Limon
Is it?
The relleno is pronounced, ray-en-o
Thank you!
