I've been driving the same Model A Ford since the sixties and this is the first time I've seen what the baffles look like inside my tank! Thanks for the videos...
Coming along nicely. When did a lot of us get indoctrinated into the red rims and trim rings, but the look of rims and tires. Makes it look fast, and provides motivation.
heath, That tank was in nice shape; however, the added space is needed. I feel the way when I cut up parts of an old car that is in decent shape. I get a case of "THE GUILTS". You have done a good job on tank removal, and no need to feel bad. You are getting closer to 1K subs. As always, a great video & good content Rick
Great Job. Yeah it hurts to cut something like that. Hey as a teen. I destroyed a car I wish I could go back in time. Beat me up. 50 Ford Woodie Wagon.
You guys really discussed me. There are hundreds of tanks with rusted out holes in them you could have bought ,or even been given. But no , in your infinite wisdom you go and chop up one of the best gas gas tanks I ever saw. I'm not a restorer I am a got rodder that tank would have been perfect on my rod or someone else's
Years ago I put a new tank in my 1953 Chevy 2 door and I wanted to use the bottom of the old one as a drip pan. I filled it with water and got on the ground to start cutting when a helicopter started hovering right over me. I guess they were disappointed when I didn't blow up because they left right after I started cutting it. Now that tank bottom is under my stock 1929 Model A engine. Jim
Good work as always Heath. I will be doing this soon on one of my upcoming videos on my '28 coupe. I wonder how similar the baffles are in the 28/29 tank? I've never cut one, so we we will see how it goes. I always enjoy your videos, thanks for sharing!
I hated to cut that tank is was perfect on the inside and out. But sometimes you have to do what you have to do. Thanks for watching and commenting !! Take it easy..
Have to ask, I saw in an earlier video you cut the fire wall for the V8. Have you seen or have reason not to remove the fire wall and flip it around. What are your thoughts.
I have seen a lot of Model A's with the firewall flipped around and they look good to. I would like to keep as much leg room in the car as possible. But I will probably still recess the firewall even on the 32 chassis but not as much as the Model A chassis would have required. I would love to have a 32 firewall to install in the Model A body I think that would look awesome but pricey and this is a budget build. Lol Thanks for watching and Take it easy!
When I built my 32 frame for my model a it is stock dimensions just like a stock 32 frame. I didn't pinch the frame it fits shape of the 30-31 body perfect I am not planning on running fenders now but I am pretty sure I could run 32 front fenders and 32 rear fenders with out hardly any modifications. But I think I would have it with no fenders anyway! Thanks for watching and commenting! Take Care !
Your doing it Right, build it for yourself And Enjoy it! Thanks for sharing this.
Thanks Tom. Thanks for watching !! Take care

great job brother , just 1 question what year is this model a?
Thank you! It is a 1930. Thanks for watching and commenting! Take it easy!
Probably should have done that to a roached tank!
I should have for sure!! Thanks for watching!
As far as i know..if you use a 32 frame , you cant use fenders. The frame is pinched in to fit the model a body.
