    When I first listened to this song about 8 years ago, I didn´t think
    I´d ever be able to play it. Now, here I am, lel.
    Sorry for the inaudible 8" Tom, I´m working on figuring out this mixing thing.

    Tight as fuuuuuuu-, Joko. I am envious of your stamina.
    I wonder if I could work with you and mix your drum tracks for a future video? I've been wanting to offer for a while now.

    • @Joko515
      @Joko515  6 років тому

      Wilder Falotico youre welcome, friend! thing is, at the moment I'm only recording 3 tracks. The whole set and then snare and trigger separately. Not sure if there is too much to mix there ^^. I can't do a complete multitrack recording alone unfortunately.

    • @WilderFaloticoMusic
      @WilderFaloticoMusic 6 років тому

      Joko515 Understood! I had noticed those tom microphones. Is it an interface limitation?

    • @Joko515
      @Joko515  6 років тому

      Wilder Falotico yes, i dont have a good interface of my own, so I record the sum of all channels, +snare and bassdrum. In order to record all 12 channels I need help from my friend who owns all the recording gear.

    • @WilderFaloticoMusic
      @WilderFaloticoMusic 6 років тому

      Joko515 Fair enough, friend. I have the same dilemma, mostly from a lack of microphones.
      Carry on with the awesome playing, though! If the opportunity ever arises, I would love to mix one of your performances, as I need more practice with live drum tracks.
      I would also send it back to you, for your videos, of course.

    • @Joko515
      @Joko515  6 років тому +1

      Wilder Falotico sure thing, thanks. I think it sounds just fine the way it is. You can hear everything, thats the most important factor.

    Can you do Nick Barkers signature roll of Snare Snare Tom Tom (RLRL) at that high BPM- around 230 i think? Like he does a lot in Kings of carnival creation during blast beats. I still cant believe how that is humanly possible.

    • @Joko515
      @Joko515  6 років тому +1

      Marko Zekanović kings or indoctrination is coming up, i just need to record it. all of what he plays is actually possible, yes. It's just really not easy. :D

    • @tim_from_braid
      @tim_from_braid 6 років тому

      Oh right i forgot to add another roll of Snares and toms. So its S S T T S S T T, but i guess you know what roll i was talking about. Btw this video is jawdropping, especially the freestyle roll at 1:48, been playing the video repedeatly whole day. If its not too much to ask, how did you develop such fast and controlled left hand, ive been having huge problems with it

    • @Joko515
      @Joko515  6 років тому

      yeah i know which fill you mean, that one is really hard. left hand is a bitch. I play with my wrists mostly and dont use my fingers much. A combination of both is the best you can do. You should try to play at lower tempos for as long as possible, then rest your arms for a minute or so, then continue. there is some good warmup exercises that are basically just for working out your muscles but apply to drumming aswell. Flo mounier from cryptopsy has some good videos on that. other than that, literally just practice. Watch your hands while youre playing and try to mimic the motion of your right hand with your left hand. Also, try leading with your left to make it more independent. etc etc etc, tons of good stuff on youtube
