Just noticed something . Their singing complements each other and there is no attempt to upstage ,,, !
It was really sad to hear that Glenn's current wife did not allow Tanya to save her last goodbye to Glenn. I truly believe that if it were up to Glenn that he would have definitely wanted time of there! He truly did love her.
No disrespect to anyone, but Glen had a rare chemistry with Tanya (at least on stage). Maybe if they had met at another stage in their lives, who knows? Tanya held her own and then some. Two legends once in love.
Their chemistry in this song is so HOT!

I was Glen Campbell's backup singer for a few years I sang a few songs with Tanya Tucker and Glen on stage. I really need to say that I really do believe that Glenn went loving truly loving Tanya Tucker they had a chemistry like no other. Just like the chemistry between George and Tammy, cash and Carter, loretti and Conway. And if you ask Tanya she'll say that she has a very special place in your heart for Glen😅

Something I liked about Glenn-other than the fact that he was sooooo very skilled-was that he dressed nicely. I can't figure out why so many of todays artists dress so shabby Torn jeans or just old jeans, athletic shoes, etc. For god sake-if you are successful and well off look like it.

Probably did it to satisfy Kim. He ghosted Kim for 3 months to go back to Tanya. It must have created some serious long-term jealousy issues in his and Kim's marriage.

Hard to get beyond infatuation when the two are from different generations, Add in Glen's jealousy and it is explosive. Glen was old enough to be her father, and she wasn't one to be the humble quiet lady that his othe affairs involved. The two were doomed before they started.

I was a teenager when this song was originally written and recorded--and honestly, I never cared for it much. BUT--this version, I love! Being the person I am, I always want everyone to be in love forever and live happily ever after. Sadly, this was not the case for these two who obviously were very much in love at the time. I miss Glen terribly....

I'm 63 now. when I was 18 I started singing with her on the radio driving my car down the road and in the shower. from 18 to 63 and loving somebody so damn much, that my dear is a fan. wow, nobody could do what she did, nobody dared to do what she did, are they going to wait till she is dead to give her all the things that are deserving upon her? are her children going to stand there crying wishing that their mother knew how many loved her? They haven't even asked her to be a member of the Grand old Opry.

Two star crossed lovers but they made magical music together....they looked at each other as if each were an ice cream cone on a hot day.....have always loved Tanya, Glen is my most fave singer of all time.......they both had problems at that time & of course people with problems always seem to find each other......never the less, they were a dynamic couple....Tanya loved him til the day he died.......some of Glen's kids still are on friendly terms with Tanya, so that should tell us something......so glad both were able to shed their demons and continue on with fabulous careers......RIP Glen.....keep on singing Tanya! Love you both!! PS..I love Tanya's outfit.....proves a woman can look hot and sexy without looking slutty.....classy outfit!!

Yes, I've read that too. I've also read where Tanya has stated that she never met a man who constantly wanted sex, referring to Glen Campbell. Well it's easy to see why Glenn was a horn toad when it comes to Tanya. But mixing sex with alcohol and cocaine will end badly at some point, and I guess it did.

At the very end, Glen looks at her and says, you did alright. Really? Like, it's her first rodeo.
I think there must have some reason for it as you can see them talking off mike at the very end. Also towards the end he sidesteps her a bit as she got in too close to the guitar he's playing.......chances are they were both stoned on stage...they have both admitted a lot of their stage performances were done in that condition.....
Who knows but it wouldn't be surprising....Glen sort of reared back from her towards the end, that's usually an instinctive reaction. Maybe he wasn't expecting to hear her sing that line with such force? She was unpredictable at times and prone to throwing things at him. At that time of their lives they both were coked up. So glad they were able to fight their way back to sobriety, they were both so talented & didn't let their demons destroy them...I remember at the time (being naive) I wondered what the heck was wrong with them, especially Glen as I'd been a fan since the 60s and couldn't figure out why he was behaving so out of character.

2019 Yes they were a great couple but she got Glenn messed up in drugs. His wife pulled him out and he had a great life. LOVE and MISS Glenn.
